I loved this movie Gary Oldman totally steals the show. If he wasn't in the movie id rate it alot lower.

Oldman's performance in this reminds me somewhat of the character he plays in the movie state of grace. Just a total psycho. That is also a great movie well worth watching :) .

i haven't got time for this mickey mouse bullshit

solid five fucking stars

although it did make me somewhat uncomfortable when it first came out with the whole old man and little girl taking about "having roots" together.

4.5 (4 on this scale) stars.

Action was good, Reno is a fairly good actor. I like this movie for the fact it pushed the envelope - surely they knew this was one of society's "nono's" (young girl, old dude) but they still hit it head on. Love it.

Loved it. A fave since my first viewing. I can't really bring up films to compare it to - yes there was some kick ass blow up fight scene stuff, but it is sooo much better than the re-treaded hollywood tripe.

How cool would a sequel be? Somebody whack's Jean Reno, and Matilda hunts them down? Well, enough for wishful thinking.

Word. Just saw this last night. :D Loooooved Jean Reno and of course my super favorite baddie, Gary Oldman.

Its just called Leon over here :S It took me to read a few posts until I knew what it was about!

Better late than never!!! ;)<3
Man that reminds me of that thread "movies everybody has seen except you"

Maybe to much similarity for some people, but 'Leon' and 'Ghost dog' make for a good 'assassin' double bill on rainy afternoons

I think this is a mindnumbing movie with no real content whatsoever.
Even though it's well crafted and the acting is very convincing it just didn't appeal to me. Way too predictable, cliché and unrealistic story. I also got the feeling this movie was made to please the audience and I don't think that's an appropriate approach.

^^ "Gosthdog" on the other hand is pretty good!

I just noticed it was #34 on IMDB all-time ranking. I thought it was a good movie but golly, I had no idea it was THAT popular.

FILM: The Professorial

Anyone else seen this movie? Made in 94 with Natalie Portman and Jean Reno.

Easily on my top 10 favorites

Any time this movie is on tv, I will switch over to watch it as long as its a channel w/o commercials.

I just want to throw my 2 cents in about how good of an actor Gary Oldman is, I love just about everything he's ever done.
