Film: Napoleon Dynamite

I thought this movie sucked. I guess people like it because they like making fun of nerds?

I watched this movie sober....it sucked.

I watched it stoned (I thought that would help me actually see the humor in it)...nope, it just went that much slower and I was so bored I had to get up and leave the room.

the only thing that amazed me about the movie was how in the hell did they find that many ugly people to play in a movie.

I agree with Tiber Cross, this movie wasnt made for your to laugh the entire time, yet it was funny in its own light. And not to mention it is one of the most original movies I've seen in a long time. But I think if you want to repeat dialogue from a movie, it was good movie. I love Napolean Dynamite!!

yeah man this movie was fucking awesome, its soo funny, my friends and i all like attempt to allocate characters in the movie to members of our group, and when where high we remeber it and its so funny, e.g some dude in our group is Lafonda, lol still cracks me up when i think about it.

Movie: Nepolean Dynamite

i am constantly having conversations about movies with friends from uni, and i am a big fan of the unusual.

this movie is certainly that. its simple in its cinematography but the story line is pobally one of the honest storylines i have seen yet.

if your into the nerdy and weird check it out.

it is one of the movies that the more you hear the lines outside of the movie the funnier it becomes. while i didnt laugh (at all) during the movie hearing my cousin muttering freakin' idiot, gosh all the way through a fishing trip i actually did.
the radio around here wants to know- are you guys having a killer time?

after seeing this in the definitive love it or hate it movie list... i figrured i would be more dead set to a side on this movie... but i am not. it is not normal and i like that, and yes it is a bit funny... but it is dragging and missing the unkown something (that other posters have also noticed). not four stars. three, i dont even know if i would go there. maybe 2.5.

LOVED IT! One thing I can't figure out is, it seems that the movie is taking place in the 80's per the very bad hair & clothes, yet during the routines at the class president assembly, there is a backstreet boys song playing.... ? Are they stuck in a time warp or something?!?

I absolutely loved this movie. I can't say I laughed out loud all that often, but at the same time I thought it was hilarious. I guess it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea but I've been telling all my friends to watch it.

And I can't stop saying, 'freakin' IDIOT.'

I normally pride myself on my sense of humor, and thought this would have been a movie I would enjoy, but I was sooo bored. Had to turn it off halfway through. big thumbs down.

First time I watched it, thought it was pathetic.
Second time I was like 'meh'
Third time I giggled quite a lot.
Fourth time me & my sister were in hysterics on the floor.

So I challenge anyone who doesn't like this movie to the 4x Test!! You'll be glad you did!

I really hated this movie as well. I didn't even watch it the whole way through. Some friends and I were recommended the film by some people who claimed that Napoleon Dynamite was the best film of the year.

It was hardly worthy of being called a film IMO.

Love the hell out of this movie. Reminded me of "welcome to the doll house" only more upbeat. I can understand why some people would think it was boring though, it took me the second time around watching it to really get into it--you all are just spoiled by hollywood. It's so refreshing to see a movie that is entertaining without any profanity, excessive violence, sex, etc.
