Whats your thoughts on this?

I have two things to say: first of all, I had been told by my mom that she had seen on the news over a year ago that Jason Mewes had died of an overdose of somekind. So I was under the impression that Jay was dead. But at the same time my mother is not a credible witness...

Another thing: on the "An evening with Kevin Smith" movie, he stated that there will be no more Jay and Silent Bob movies. He said its been played out too far as it is and there was nothing left for Jay and Bob to do....but then the next thing I know, I'm seeing trailers for Clerks II...

It looks funny as Hell. I'll be the first in line to see it. So I'm down for it. The original Clerks was the shit...now theres a sequel in color. So I'm definately interested. Though I know sequels ALL have a tendency to suck ass but this one actually looks really good. It sucks that the quick stop burned down but I understand why....can't do the original all over again, you have to re-invent it. So its cool.

So who's going to see the newest installment of the Jay and Silent Bob chronicles...any comments

Probably see it, though I have a strong suspicion that it will suck, and will damage my memories of the original, which I've loved since it came out. But hopefully I will be wrong

Jason Mewes is not dead, although he has struggled with drug addiction for years.

I think Kevin Smith films are overrated personally.

I didn't care for Chasing Amy at all. Clerks was great...classic. Mallrats was okay but not as good as Clerks. Mallrats was more of a comic book feeling. Jay and Bob beating up the Easter Bunny was pretty funny...Brody is cool but the rest I really don't care for. Dogma was excellent in more ways than one. Brilliant peice of film. Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back was pretty fucking down right hilarious. Jersey Girl and whatever other films he did after Jay and Silent Bob sucked ass so bad I couldn't bare it. Though I'm real excited about this new incarnation of Clerks...looks really funny but you never know...I've had bigger surprises before in the ass sucking department. We will soon find out wont we...

Chasing amy was cool for me because it was like taking a page right out of my life. Powerful flick about unrequited love, to me at least. At least it had a happy ending, unlike life stories of a similar nature.

As for this flick ? I didn't really dig the first clerks and I doubt I will dig this one either. I don't know, I just didn't think it was that amazing. J&S Bob was cool though, along with DOGMA. Dogma rules all.

I have never seen Clerks, but a lot of people at the time told me that I would like it. It's hard for me to sit through a movie (ADD). Sequels are generally a let down.

Have you ever listened to Mixmag's Mongo Hotline? It talks about frogs a little.

I thought this the best movie of the summer so far. at times it reeked of "Jersey Girl" with Randall or Dante in it, but I think it transcended that stupid generalization.

they did a good job of paying homage to Clerks without it being too... over the edge like in Jay & Silent Bob.

^ only the very beginning of the film was black and white. I think you are correct, when the film turned to color I thought the black and white format was more than appropriate.

I just saw it tonight and it is definitley worth seeing.I was dying at some parts because it was so funny.It's not as good as Clerks but thats a hard plateau to reach.This is the last movie that will feature Jay and Silent Bob I heard.Kevin Smith told Jason Mewes that if he tried to clean himself from his drug problem that Kevin Smith would make one more movie with Jay and Silent Bob.Worth seeing a second time.

Jason Mewes went through a long struggle with heroin. supossedly he is clean, as was the reason for making this film. Smith did say this was going to be the last movie featuring Jay and Silent Bob - but he did say the exact same thing after Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.
