for me everything got better instead of worse, clerks was my least favorite. when i rewatched it a few years ago (first time seeing it when it came out over 10 ) it wasn't nearly as enjoyable as i remembered it, and as his other films. although i agree his wife is godawful, but i think it is sweet he puts her in his movies. so i will just ignore that talkentless bag of skin and bones.

a year later, this thread...and i'm STILL stoked for the new clerks to come out! where is it already?! :D

i'll never see jersey girl again. dogma grows on me every time i watch it. don't know what y'all are talking about with JSBSB...ya some of it was kinda corny, but my husband and i still repeat a ton of lines from that movie. mallrats is my favorite, with clerks a close second. chasing amy just kinda falls in between JSB and dogma.

I wonder if it will be in color?

I think he posted on the website a while ago (maybe even before filming it) that part was going to be in black & white, part in color (like Wizard of Oz). That was a while ago though, so he could have changed his mind since then.

He has changed his mind before with last-minute decisions (like cleaning up the blood/guts in Dogma and having Silent Bob talk at the end of Clerks).

Dogma had a strong enough cast to carry the ridiculous contrived dialogue which has become a Kevin Smith hallmark. Probably his best work. Hopefully, Clerks 2 will be a bounce back.

i loved Clerks, i thought Mallrats was OK, DOGMA and J and silen bob strike back weere shitty.....thse days with the absolute heapings of gabage that comes out at the theaters, i am very thankful or Clerks 2...should be neat to see what the cast has been up to...besides, mewes needs some cash, the dudes outta junk!

^Actually I'm talking about the scene when he confronts her about her lies (about her sexual past) at the hockey game.

But the scene you mentioned was pretty annoying too.

why don't we just say it...up to the halfway marker when he finds out about finger cuffs that movie is just amazingly funny and everything else...but after that part it is god awfull i really can't take that movie seriously after watching the ending.

I think i favor Dogma cuz it gave me (at the time) a whole new perspective on religion all the while making me laugh my ass off....

Chasing Amy and Clerks are def up there on as my all time fav movies though

and yea JSBSB did suck.....
