^Damn. I wonder what Movie Poopshoot.com hass to say?

I have yet to see a Kevin Smith movie I didn't enjoy (well there was that one part of chasing amy that really pissed me off, but well... I still liked the movie).

Just about everyone from Smith's movies have reprised their roles in one way or another... Dante and Randall cameo'd in J&SBST. Fuck, they are all in every one of the movies, so why not a sequel?

^^ i agree. i can't wait for this to come out, in fact, when i heard he wasn't going to do anymore films with the characters of "jay and silent bob", i was crushed. it's not so much the dick and fart jokes, i just think the dialogue is brilliant in general. i haven't seen "jersey girl" yet though, but i plan to at some point. "dogma" has been my least favorite of the movies, although again, brilliantly done.

I didn't mind Jersey Girl, thought in most parts it was pretty funny and still had some wicked dialog.

you can definately tell it's a Smith film, but as he states, when you're younger you are all about dick and fart jokes - as you get older and have children and a family - you've got to move on to some other place as you grow up.

clerks was 10 years ago, so of course the characters will of moved on.

are you talking about the WAY overkilled scene where holden finally tells whats her name that he loves her? shrill squeaky voice aside thats one of the most obnoxious dialoges i've ever had the misfortune to endure.

^Actually I'm talking about the scene when he confronts her about her lies (about her sexual past) at the hockey game.

But the scene you mentioned was pretty annoying too.

Well heres my prediction: Clerks 2 is going to fuck up the franchise. J&SB SB sucked, and there is just no way to get that level of originality in a movie again. Its like how a shitload of authors can make a single great novel, but never follow up with more good ones.

Clerks was a genuine movie, and great but I thought mallrats was just another teen movie, althought the best teen movie i ever saw

I loved Clerks, it is the only Kevin Smith movie I truly like and remember. It's true that it does mean a lot to a lot of people, and it would totally fuck me up to see a bad sequel. I spent a good part of my teenie years singing Berserker

of course it will be in colour, the original was only shot in black and white because it was heaps cheaper for the film and because most of it was shot during the night time (the quickstop had flurocent lights that apparantly didn't go down well with colour film) and they couldn't afford to change them...

Film: Clerks 2: The Passion of the Clerks

ok so there is no release daate on the movie yet, so what! :)

they still dont like you. in fact, they like you even less.

the sequel to clerks, ten years later and picking up where randel and dante are now... and of course how jaded and horrible stuck they still are.

so someone here has to be a kevin smith fan... there must be some people let after godawful jersey girl.
pehaps it is revival time for smith. i am keeping hopeful and since i got to see some of the filming i am posting this to get other people informed and excited.
yay quickstop! and scary middletown clown! yay mews not in jail for herion! and tubby back for two lines!

the movie moves on from the orginal store to mooby's (burger joint shot in cali, i think) where dante and randel now work. dante is married?! and they are discontent mid thirtysomething guys who think that perhaps it is time to put away the laziness, talking about porn/girls/sex/fucking, and their eternal malcontent for just a little while to grow up and see what the world perhaps has to offer. oh, and jay and silent bob hang out out front, didnt see that one coming, did you?
the film is shot in both black/white and color, i would persume quickstop flashbacks and so on in b/w and mooby's in its brighter than noontime garish glory. and yes, even though all over the web there are rumors of cover ups, tricks and fake leads and so on about shooting or not shooting at the old quickstop and rst video... it is true they did shoot there, i can say that for an absolute fact. if it makes it into the movie or not is a whole other story. smith cut out an entire large and expensive bennifer wedding scene in jersey girl at the last minute... so who knows anymore.

kevin smith, it better be good. seriously. people are losing faith here, bud.

We wrapped production on Friday, 11/18/05 at about 11:30 at night. The shoot really couldn’t have gone any better. Hands down, my favorite shoot of all seven. And based on the hour and fifteen minutes I’ve already cut together, it’s also - hands down - my favorite flick I’ve ever made. It knocked “Amy” out of my top-spot.

(no poll for now until at least after release date has been set and so on)

Kevin Smith is becoming as orignal as George Lucas.

bury the decomposing horse

those behind the scene videos are making me pretty optimistic about the movie. . . . . . . .Hopefully it will deliver, I think Kevin Smith knows what he once was and what he has become now.

I just don't like his wife much and am skeptical about her being in the movie.
