Favorite Science Fiction movie???

The topic says it all, Mine at the moment would have to be the 1st matrix.

Thanks in advance.;)

Fifth Element...among many others, including theoriginal star wars trilogy (how can you forget this? Even though lucus royally fucked the newer films, the originals are still works of genius)
The FIRST Matrix film deserves mention too, but I still believe the Wachowski brothers originally meant the Matrix to be just another action/scifi film instead of the philisophical wonder it was. They fucked themselves by promising a trilogy of immense philisophical and scientific prowess when they clearly could not match the original film's greatness. They shoulda just made one movie. Trilogy's RARELY work, especially if it has been made in the past ten years (with the exception of LoR which was written previous to this). I mean, comeon....look at the SCREAM trilogy :-P

Going to have to go with Blade Runner, the director's cut that removed all the crappy voice over and changed the ending... man Harrison Ford owns that role as Deckard... great movie... the first time I saw it I was tripping on acid all by myself in the middle of the day... when I see the opening sequence it still gives me chills up and down my spine.

5th Element. definately one of my favorites.

Star Trek 4 - The Voyage Home (i think that is what it is called - great if only for the fun 80s flashback)

I actually liked the made for TV movie remake of Brave New World. Definately not one of my favorite sci fi movies, and it definately wasn't as good as the book, they still did a pretty good job with it...
