Facebook: Hate it or Love it?

I hate facebook. Its such a waste of time. All facebook has to offer is a bunch of people you don't really like babbling about bullshit
 
Ya I agree facebook sucks balls and turns grown men into cackling teenage girls. Hey look at my life and this picture of me making a doody. Bluelight is just like facebook only with more rules. I think the fbi website has less restrictions and rules than bluelight. Or is it the same website? This site has rules and the rules. Dont post on the rules page until you read the rules about the posting agreement of rules to post on the rules page.

I think the major problem with facebook is that people look at it for ideas. Or watch it like television and get sucked into silly fads or groups. If more people realized that these are real people and people affect eachother outside of their real life social groups a lot of these issues woukdny exist. That's why imo blueligt for example causes less problems, cuz its aninymous. if people wanted facebook to be less awkward they would only have real life friends on there, or actually befriend all the "freinds, its not hard to do, just interact rather than watch.
 
I think I'm IP banned or something. Like, facebook won't connect on any computer or browser in my house.
I've tried everything. Can't even connect via iPod to facebook using my wifi.

Anyways, idk. I never post anything personal on facebook anymore because i know i'm being judged. My personal things go to my tumblr, the stuff i post on facebook is usually just witty random things i come up with. I think maybe a lot of people think this way so refrain from posting personal stuff and post stupid things about the lastest episode of whatever, etc
maybe the majority of people don't want to be judged for personal stuff and post dumb pix and stuff. idk maybe i'm just thinking about this too much
 
I hate Facebook. I only have one because apparently you need it in order to exist.

-does friend count matter? No. I don't keep track
-how tight are your privacy settings? I have no clue and don't care
-do you only friend ppl you know IRL or happily accept randoms? If I knew who they were at some point I'll except them, just cuz
-love it as a stalking tool? No. So many people's settings are private and the only person I'd really want to stalk blocked me (long story)
-use it for networking? Hell no

-why do you love it/hate it?
It's all about people pretending their life is awesome (for the most part)
 
Dislike it. I don't use anymore, haven't for years now. There was too many lame updates from old friends that I don't really want to hear about anymore, and of course some randoms I didn't even know. And there was so much agro/bullying/trolling, I mean what sort of losers destroy a tribute page with child porn and shit? That place was just sad in so many ways. Oh and the constant requests to play shit like farmville and gangster wars and what not, that was annoying too. I really disliked that site. I rather call my friends or see them face to face, or email family etc.

The new myspace is great tho, so much music. It seems to be all about music and that's it. I just leave my favourite artists radio playing and I'm digging it.

I just checked it out, i love the radio feature!

EDIT:

I fucking love this, they've actually created a very smooth and intricate way of searching music.. I use to use youtube to look for new music, or play old music when i was to lazy to download. But with the radio feature it's like a random playlist tailored for your music taste in much better quality audio.

Hate it. I see it as the way 'normal' people interact online. Maybe I'm totally wrong but my perception is that it's a way of being 'social' without actually being social. It isn't people talking to each other as much as people talking about how awesome their lives are to other people doing exactly the same thing.
 
to those whinging about the people they have on facebook, why not just have better friends?
 
I pretty much randomly check my facebook...Before today it had been at least two wks since I check my facebook...since I got a BL account, I have been on almost every day...there seems to be more people who have similar beliefs and ideas on BL.Im officially addicted!

In general I don't give a fuck about other peoples' lives, I just want to utilize you for whatever social contact is necessary to satiate my innate yearning for such. I DON'T care about your recent engagement (you're only 25 wtf are you thinking, you'll be divorced within a decade you dumb cunt). I DON'T care that you got a promotion, it's not a proper law firm anyway, remember you couldn't get the marks to get into one of those. I DON'T care that you're going to Hawaii to meet some slut, she looks like she... well actually she's pretty hot, I might fap off to her later....
