Im sure once Dave is a little farther in his recovery he is wanna get out of his bed and oughta that hospital (or will he?), keep an eye on that lad ;)

though i do not know phreex very well, i'm incredibly glad that he's recovering and i hope nothing but more good news arrives... :)
 
Wow, if anybody deserved a second chance, its you. Glad to hear you are back from beyond.

hehe, I don't know the guy but from what I have seen from "PhreeX" I second the notion of keeping an eye on him at the hospital. I know I always try and escape... :)
 
i'm rather new here and i REFUSED to post a THING until now. I'm famous for doing the booty dance and i'm ECSTATIC that he's okay so i'm going to DO the booty dance in his honour!

i've Lost alot of peopleto this kind of shit(hell i almost lost ME) but i'm SO pleased to hear that things are looking up! I have so much faith that all the love that this kid is feeding on from ovah here is going to make him STRONG and WELL again!

Dear BLr's,
I hate to post this reply...because it's not good news....and Dave was doing so well. Last night around 10 o'clock...They had taken the resperator out of Dave b/c he was breathing on his own. My mom told them that he was gasping for the air though- but they left the resperator out. Last night we got a call at 3 am..the nurses said that David had stopped taking in air...and they were trying to put the resperator in ...but b/c he had it jammed in him the first time for 12 days...his throat had swollen shut..and they couldn't get in down. They called my mother again at 5!!. Dave's saturation level (oxygen) dropped to 45 percent last night...which was the same as it was when he first entered. The doctors had to do an emergency trachiotamy(sp)(hole in thraot)and now have the resperator hooked up to that. We do not know if his brain was even more damaged by this...we have to wait and see. David is having a surgery this afternoon for a perminent trache....EVERYONE..please continue to pray ...this is just another hurdle I know we can get over....I'll keep you updated on his surgery outcome...and if he is as responsive as before.

I have been talking to PhreeX on AIM for years now, but I've never met him personally. We kind of have a running joke about we used to always be at the same events and yet never saw each other there. I was supposed to hang out with him one year at Ultra and he called me on my cell an hour before we were supposed to meet and said he couldn't make it cause he had wrecked the car on the way down there. There was always something stupid like that that prevented it.
I thought I had missed my chance when I started hearing about him being in the hospital.
As soon as you are feeling up to it Dave, I am going to come see you, bc dammit I am not going to miss my chance for good.
Thank you for the updates Princess and DavesLilSis. Please know that all of us are really pulling for him to get up and walk out of there as good as new.
 
if they can find a Elizabeth Smart 20 mins from her home and ALIVE after 9 months it is possible for Dave to recover. I don't know him at ALL but I have so much love for the kid! Whatever happens it's in God's hands... and if you gotta be in SOMEONES hands... God's are the ones to be in :) :sigh:
