This is wonderful news. I cant believe just days ago they were about to pull the plug on him, and now hes communicating and moving. Im still hoping for a full recovery for him. Imagine if he ever gets well enough to read this how odd it would be to read.
Thanks for the updates!

i have never really posted here much. a friend of mine posted about this on a journal i read and i came in and read this thread and read some of what PhreeX has written.
i must say i cant wait to get a chance to talk to him someday.
good luck and well wishes to his family and friends.

This is from XMonsooNX and Princess's Mother. I also know dave and he has been to my home on 2 different occasions. He is one of the most intelligent people i have ever met and im 42 years old. I just wanted to thank dominic, samantha, and ashlie for keeping us updated on dave's status. Im so proud of dave improvements and truely believe that it is due to all of his friends on B.L. I also believe in my heart that Dave is on his way to a full recovery!
My husband also was in a coma an made a full recovery. When people come together miracles do happen. Please let me know when he is moved into a regular room so we can send flowers. We will continue praying for you.
Love,
Chris and Libby

I'm shedding tears of joy, Dan and Dave have been in my thoughts since the unfortunate events in their lives happened. It's bittersweet, to see one on his way to a (hopefully) full recovery, while the other has died. Still, I pray for all the best, and hope that everyone involved uses Dave's overdose (Dave, most of all) as an experience to learn and grow by.

I have never really been acquainted with PhreeX, Dave...however, I am fully aware of his profound effects upon this message board.
May everything work out for the best, whatever that may be.
My hopes and condolensces to family and friends, as well.
-Adam

I do have AIM screen name: bgodess16
I just got back from the hospital, and wow!!
Dave has all the tubes removed from his throat, but they caused irritation causeing him to loose his voice for a little while.
I ask him if he knew who I was, and in a very low and a bit crackly voice he said my name!! WOW! He was also asking to go home. It was really hard cause you can see him trying to talk, but you cant barely tell what he is saying. I did tell him everyone here was hoping the best for him, and that we all loved him.
I would imagine with the progress he has made since he has been awake he will be talking and walking in no time.
I'm so EXCITED and I just cant hide it!!! lol
Just to let you guys know,
Samantha
This is so amazing, so awesome, and so encouraging I can barely type!!

my god... I'm not gonna lie, I'm not a real optimistic fellow - especially in serious cases like this, so I didn't have much hope.. but wow... this is amazing, I hope it only gets better from here!
I'm not a real religious guy but there are some times when I take a moment to talk to whatever is upstairs calling the shots.. this is/was one of those.

I am soooooooo glad to hear Dave is on his way to a full recovery, and i have every reason to believe that if anyone can do it then Dave can. This incident has been weighing on my mind (and computer screen) alot lately. One Love!

A friend of mine OD'ed a few years ago with results similar to Phreex. Her doctors said she would most likely never regain consciousness, and that if by some remote chance she did, she wouldn't be the same person. A week later she came out of the comma and was as good as new.
It is amazing how resilient the human body is.
It is just as amazing the difference support, prayers and positive energy, of friends and family can make in a persons recovery.
I am glad to hear things are looking up.
Best Wishes.
