English Premier League football

It shaping up to be a good season in Engalnd, very exciting players and teams, i just hate thow fickle the fans are, when you listen to 606 on radio 5 most them talk so much shit.

Anyway i wanted to say well done to Aberdeen, Rangers and Celtic for giving respect back to Scottish football, our national team aint bad either! I hope as many Brit teams make it to the euros as possible.

Interesting season so far, Arse look very decent going forward but with just a couple of injuries in defence they look a bit shakey at the back. Don't think they will last the distance really, although part of me hopes they do as the United-Arsenal rivalries from the late 90's to the rise of Chelsea were brilliant and i miss them. Liverpool are playing as expected, Chelsea have obviously been hit hard but i think they will still finish top four as the depth of players they have is great. City are a huge surprise and look better than they have since...welll a long time. Spurs are woeful, they can score goals but their defence without King is shocking and Robinson has become quite terrible.

As for United we have been winning but it has not been very exciting. Excluding the brief interruption of the mickey mouse cup its been 0ver 13 hours since we let in a goal; this with Neville out. People will always play up young attacking players more, like the Rooney-Ronaldo-Tevez trio, but i think it Vidic and Rio who will become the real golden players of our future team, they look class. Played better against Wigan, got a few goals hopefully we can carry it on too a decent team.

The pleasures of supporting Sunderland are few & far between. Better that than some slavish media driven need to follow Man U/Aresenal/Chelsea or other "successful" ( read capitalist inspired illusion).

I console myself with this anyway.......:(

After a few weeks away from the TV, will be catching a few games tonight hopefully. Yay, football!

Some very good performances today. Chelsea were both clinical and stylish, so much so that I was even cheering for them (though it didn't hurt that they were playing City). United were great, and with the front five starting to settle in together, Hargreaves turning in a good performance, and Rio and Vidic solid at the back all season, (other than for Aliadire's goal), United are building what could be a great team, not just a very good one. Expect to see Nani and Anderson as first choice by the end of the season, or certainly next.

With Liverpool out of the CL (basically) they'll be concentrating on the league, and Arsenal will be challenging too. Will we see a four-horse race? *crosses fingers*

Well hey, Arsenal are still top of the League with a game in hand... going strong :)

Everton are getting there... awesome overhead goal from Timmy Cahill on the weekend... top stuff :)

Man U continue to do their thing... their thing at the moment being, waiting for Arsenal to drop some points so they can top the table...

Chelsea... ah who the fuck cares...

Man City and Portsmouth still going tops :)

Blackburn are up there... I don't think anyone knows why??

Bolton continue to suck.

Tottenham may find a defence sometime soon to capitalise on their goalscoring ability... they are equal 2nd on goals scored... but they have conceded more than they have scored... (only by 1 at the moment... but still...) I'd be surprised if they don't get their shit together and finish about 7th...

Looks like its curtains for Derby and Wigan... but it is still early days...

Oh yeah, and I'm moving my way up the fantasy league table... still a ways to go to catch the lead... but it'll happen :)

Woo for the Premier League :)

CB :)

im in second place in the fantasy league im playing, and me and one other person (whos in 4th place) joined the league during gameweek 3. i dont know if im good, or they just suck.

and haha...chelsea, who the fuck cares! :D

KEEP IT UP ARSENAL!!!

if pompey can keep up their away form this year which has been superb then i see no reason why they cant challenge liverpool or chelsea for 4th spot, although i would be more than happy with a 6th place or 7th at worst

IM gonna watch pompey thrash arsenal on boxing day

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MAnaged to get one of the last tickets to see pompey arsenal on boxing day, i had a dream last week that i would be there watching the game and that sol campbell would score the last goal of the game in a 3-1 pompey win. Im gonna put a tenner on that bet just in case, the odds will be good.

Cant believe i managed to get a ticket to the match of the season, anyone else going?

another 0-0 draw at pompey again this afternoon. lets it hope we start winning at home again soon.

On a side note my other local non-league team havant and waterlooville hsvr beaten notts county to make it to the 3rd round of the FA Cup

boo for arsenal taking a tumble against middlesborough... but its definitely a good thing for boro... arsenal are really missing Fabregas, Hleb and Flamini at the moment... they just don't have any go forward, and are relying on long balls up to Adebayor... which can be quite hit and miss... will be good for them to have their midfield back...

Pompey are really going strong :) top stuff there :)

CB :)

Long balls have never really been the bread and butter of Arsenal anyway, especially not with the inconsistent touch of Adebayor on the end of it. Don't get me wrong, I'll be chanting his name with the rest of the gooners, but lets play to our strengths, shall we...

In any case, I'll be in the pub at 8:00 am to watch the game live a full hours drive from my house. Anyone else in the Seattle, WA area should pop down to the George and Dragon for the game against Chelsea.

Interesting couple of games coming up :)

Go Arsenal (although without their midfield they are gonna struggle mightily, although playing at home will lift them immensely)

and go United... only because of the fantasy team angle ;)

CB :)

With Diaby and van Persie back though, things aren't looking nearly as grim. Much love to the Gunners!

Arsene Wenger's magic
He's got a magic hat
And when he saw the FA Cup
He said I'm having that!

Yeah, that's a worry to be sure, but Chelsea are out Drogba, Ballack, and two others I can't rightly remember now (maybe Malouda?). It'll be a great game, I'm excited.
