eating Nurofen

I found this on a NZ website, so it would appear that the 72 has been available for a while :\ Did your brother happen to go to new zealand when he picked up your box? ;)

Those are the ones, I got them fresh from a local Sydney pharmacy.

Anyone know a little more about them?
 
interesting, i was just about to say i found the same box on a new zealand website . . .

edit: in fact, all the mentions i can find of your 72 pack come from new zealand websites, so it may be that your sydney pharmacy are doing the cheap and importing from new zealand . . . does that seem like a realistic scenario to anyone else? . . .

i cant find any examples of new boxes in online stores in australia, so it may just be a kiwi thing . . .
 
^^^ wat you said crow011. Couldnt find any other refrences on OZ sites. Im on the manufacturers site now so ILl let you know If I find anything.
 
Yes, Nurofen Plus IS now available in 72's, and they ARE splittable.

Btw, they were 50% more than a box of 48, so no real economy there apart from 25% less visit to the chemist. The box height and width is identical to other sizes, just 'deeper' to carry the extra blister packs.

Could you elaborate on them a little?

They are not splitting in the usual concave/convex form with the box i have here.
 
Im still a little nervous. Im not conviced of their splittability yet.

If its true, then the manufaturers really dont give a shit that their product is being abused. I mean who the fuck would ever need to buy 72... IMO 48 is even a stretch. Ah well I guess a successful stock holders meeting is all that matters right;)
 
Just compared blister packs between a 48 pack and a 72 pack. Only difference is that the NUROFEN PLUS printing on the blister packs from the 48's runs longitudinally, whereas the printing on those from the 72 runs across the short dimension.

I just got these yesterday, so was interested to see this 'unsplittable' claim, so test split one. It wasn't the cleanest split (see prior odd/even batch discussions) but was still the definate 'crumbly' split.

I would prefer to just buy 48 and have them split clean. Nothing shits me more than when I get home and find that they dont split cleanly. I guess Im gonna have to lear how to do the cold water extraction.

The 72 pack I got is exactly the same as that pic, ie, different graphic design to the 48's.

As for CWE, I do it after splitting to get rid of all the binders.
 
the box must be freakin' huge . . .

dare i say it would appear Nurofen seem to be cashing in on the recreational use market . . .

is this wat you do ecc:

Procedure:

1. Crush thoroughly the tablets and carefully dissolve in cold (ca 20° C) water. Use approximately 2ml of water per 1 tablet, eg 100ml of water for 50 tablets. You may add more water if you can't dissolve the tablets easily. If you want to evaporate the liquid, it's better to use distilled water instead of tap water.

Warning: Boiling and hot water may destroy codeine.

2. Cool the solution down to approximately 5° C (41° F) stirring occasionally. Very low temperatures make the secondary substances even less soluble.

3. Leave the solution in a cool place for about 20 minutes to let the secondary substances settle on the bottom of the container.

4. Wet the filter(s) with very cold water to prevent it from absorbing the solution and put it in the glass. Stick an elastic/rubber band around the container to keep the filter in place.

5. Coffee filterPour the solution through the filter to filter out the secondary substance from codeine.

6. Discard used filters with secondary substance solids left.
 
I allways CWE the n+ sides after splitting them ever since i had a real terrifyingly painfull experience when eating 20 n+ sides on their own.

I seriously thought i was going to die. HUGE stomach pains, i was curled up in a ball like a dying cockroach on my bed for an hour :(

These were the fully splittable n+ sides too, im not sure what did this too me, so i allways cold-water when taking anymore than 12.

My Ghetto CWE tech:

Simply split them like usual, fill up a glass with around 50ml of water per 12-24 tabs (it doesnt matter if the waters cold or warm, tap water is fine).

Let them all disolve and stir, then wet a hankercheif, fold it twice into a little square (now it has four layers since its folder over itself twice), lay the hanky over a fresh glass/drinking cup (the hanky will be the filter) and pour the solution into it, let it drain a little, then pick up the sides of the hanky and squeeze/ring out all of the solution into the colletion glass.

Then open the hanky back up over the glass, crush up the (now dry) blob of pill mass with your fingers while adding more water again over the blob, then repeate the draining/squeezing process.

Get a big cup, add some coke or pepsi or lemonaid, add the codeine water, then fill the cup up as much as you can with the rest of your coke/lemonaid, then drink :D

I love it so much, nothing beats having a huge cup of codeine/pepsi mix to drink at night while at home playing RPG computer games

ha ha, squid, you sound like a man after my own heart . . .

ive been keen to do a cwe for a while but havent had any coffee filters . . . but a handkerchief sounds like it might be the way to go . . .

how does mixing caffeine with codeine go? . . . do you find the caffeine effects the codeine buzz? . . . i found a single beer did the trick with 200mg of codeine . . .
