EADD What Are You Munching On? v. Godlike steaks & shitting candles.

Yea i was shite at it. Was meant to be a masters but dropped out n got a post grad certificate instead. Was kinda self destructing at the time n failed one module (got 30%} even though I was working on the assignment until 1 am most nights. Was gutted n dropped out :( Got myself in debt trying to afford it while purchasing 60 mg codeine pills from illegal online pharmacies.
Maybe one day I'll start it again who knows but then wasn't the right time n masters is really hard compared with degree. I felt really thick as most of the people on the course wer GPs, nurses n other healthcare professionals. I was just a single mam with a psychology degree. Felt really out of place n below them.

I need to get in some salmon used to love salmon n its got vit b6 in which is good for moid. I used to be all clued up on food vitamines but last 3 years I've gone lazy n forgotten it all. Love simple meals like that with spinach. Bought myself a butty box so I can make myself some for going out instead of the unhealthy food that's around. Beauty also liked the tuna today lil' madam hehehe :)

Of course. That's why I'm forgetting shite. I've not ate enough good carbs lately n lack of carbs affects cognition but this healthy eating malarky is difficult to get the balance right. It's meant to be 40% carbs, 40% protein n 20% good fats (omega 3s) Will have to hunt out the recipe books that I have witb these exercise programme.

But to helll hands up I'm shite with this food prep, healthy balance thing. I'm sure it was all different in 2012 aggghhhhh

Forget good carbs / bad carbs! If you want toast for breakfast, pasta for lunch, rice for dinner eat it! Portion control, mix and match so you don't get bored - remember to include FAT in your meals. I personally do not eat 'diet' anything, and I try to eat meals that I have actually cooked - I would be lying if I said I dont have a bag of frozen chips in my freezer, I don't know how old it is.
 
Bear what you think looks bad on the table "isn't" - I'm sure you are an amazing host and make any guest feel welcomed and special. The personal touch at home-hospitality, I always feels adds to the experience.


Evey - that doesn't matter - you have a lot of good learning in your head that you can use for you and to help others. Fuck, I've flunked academia thangs too, plenty of us here have I bet. Don't let that hold you back.

Yea I get that n i don't do "diet" but I'm trying to put some muscle on while losing weight. Yes good fats are important I agree. But **** avacado. It's disgusting!!!!

Anyway no more food today. I don't eat after 6 pm as metabolism slows down. Always lose weight better when I don't eat in evenings.

We eat our main meal in the evening / late. Don't eat much throughout the day (fruit, veggie snacks, bits protein things) but dinner time is an occasion for us. Is that not good?

Don't you find what's good one week is bad the next? As in the Daily Mail's "Cancer kills you" "Cancer is good for you"?

I rarely listen to the media dietary bullshit going about, but take my tips from travelling and how other cultures eat as long as it suits my hedonistic agenda ;)

Food is important to me though. The right nutrition matters to my wellbeing. I know this from experience and being an old thing :D
 
Nah every time I don't eat at night I lose weight. Your metabolism slows down ready for sleep. If you feed your body at this time it's more than likely to "I'm getting energy I need to store this."

You have to burn more calories than consumption to lose weight. Sleep is good for weight loss because you burn calories when sleeping as well as the body getting re-charged n if you don't have sufficient sleep you are more than likely to release hunger hormones n be hungry next day.

I really need to get sources for this but read it in one of Jillian Michael's book. She's an ace celeb PT n my idol.

You would be better off staying up a bit longer and doing some exercise - even walking about the house, tidy a room etc. If your watching TV when the adverts come on get up and walk around the room just your normal walking speed or do some squats, lunges etc Its surprising how many extra calories you can burn.

I've just had chicken machboos (similar to biriyani) with a pickled veg, spicy tomato sauce.

^love Shawarma - I normally buy a few extra as there great for breakfast.

Just had a jacket potato with tuna salad.
