I had a prawn stir fry - also made a pan of noodles with ginger and coriander. I ate best part of it before I thought I should take its photo :D
 
Ryvita n almond butter. Exercise in a bit then whey n eggwhite protein powder with milk.

Dins tonight consisted of peri-peri chicken wiv basmati and naan bread followed by a lemon meringue finger - not as good as a proper lemon meringue pie but not bad all the same.

Sounds nice. You do have some goid meals. Do you cook them yourself?

What about the carbs?




I've went off cooking and eating, yes, I know. Tragic :|

However, I have forced myself to rumble through the freezer for previously prepared proteins, got fresh veggies and carbs are always available and cupboard friendly if needs must. Just need to put them together...:\
 
The freezer is a godsend when I can't be arsed to cook :D - I always try and freeze at least one portion of curry when I'm cooking. Makes it ideal for those nights when you just can't be bothered to cook.

I still have frozen tomatoes in there from my last windfall - I simply cut the green bit out of the top, put them in a freezer bag and squashed them flat to stack. They go mushy when cooking but perfect for curries and nicer than using cans.

Today Im going to be doing roast chickens/veg and also a Thai curry - If I'm spending that much time in the kitchen Ill probably end up drunk so apologies in advance for any rambling later.
 
Betty is back so I have pancakes again :) but right this minute am being an unhealthy person as I am having pink lemonade lucozade and some caramel shortcake, am trying my best not to have the second portion but think I am give in to temptation as it is sitting there with the wind blowing in from the window I can smell it and it's basically shouting eat me as it's very thin flimsy wrapper is wafting in the breeze oh help me god I can not resist....
 
Dinner - Evey

Ooh that looks tasty :), my cooking plans went downhill and fast. I was cooking two separate things for two sets of people - first was roast chickens and vegs - second was thai chicken curry.

So prepped the oven, blasted the veggies in the microwave as I had sort of started a bit late. Made the dressing for the chickens, chopped the vegs - Got the chickens out of the fridge and they were off :/. So had to make some random veggie curry (had already chopped lemon grass, galangal) so it was going to be Thai but had carrots and courgettes half cooked.

I could not give it to both parties so Ill make something else tomorrow for them.
 
I need to get in some salmon used to love salmon n its got vit b6 in which is good for moid. I used to be all clued up on food vitamines but last 3 years I've gone lazy n forgotten it all. Love simple meals like that with spinach. Bought myself a butty box so I can make myself some for going out instead of the unhealthy food that's around. Beauty also liked the tuna today lil' madam hehehe :)

Had sweet n sour with rice for tea.

BL - Bloody hell, sound's like you're having one of my meltdowns ala kitchen 8(

I hate it when meal plans don't work out, especially if guests are involved :sus: Good come back though %)

Evey your salad looks lovely but it needs some carbs lol :p

My appetite has been all off but last night's veggies got me going again. So, today I fancied Italian and went for it. Basic proper bogonaise ragu on the stove. It's was so warm for me I cooked in my panties 8o
 
Of course. That's why I'm forgetting shite. I've not ate enough good carbs lately n lack of carbs affects cognition but this healthy eating malarky is difficult to get the balance right. It's meant to be 40% carbs, 40% protein n 20% good fats (omega 3s) Will have to hunt out the recipe books that I have witb these exercise programme.

But to helll hands up I'm shite with this food prep, healthy balance thing. I'm sure it was all different in 2012 aggghhhhh

I forget shit all the time Evey. Some say thirty years of heavy cannabis use doesn't help but I'm not so sure. Can't remember. Point is, what value do you put on memory? I reckon it's over-rated. Things always come back, erm...sorry what?

Hit and run tray bake. Yeah, more dead animals (they're plentiful round here, it would be impolite not to). Sue me.

We're all shite at it but it's good to be reminded and keep on track with proper nutrition and delicious meals. Thank fuck you've done that weight management / nutrition course, you've got lots of amazing info in your head missus that would be real handy and good stuff for HR <3

Spinach isn't as healthy as people think and because it has very little taste raw its a bit of a waste of space on my plate. Its also high in purines which can lead to problems in your kidneys if not properly balanced (gout)

I was thrown a little bit as the two parties I was cooking for are very different - (friends who couldn't give one - and neighbors who delivered food to me last night). What I salvaged was perfect for friends but looked awful, tomorrow Ill cook something that looks nice for the neighbors.
