Seems I was too fucked up to make that meal - if the camera doesn't get broken when it's stotted off my head I'll share (one eye open, one foot on the floor typing)
Proof (as if it were necessary 8)) that I have been drinking quite heavily tonight comes in the form of pre-beddy-byes burger/mature cheddar/caremelised onion inna bun. Grease-laden yum
Did you eat them all at once? That sounds like a rather adventurous combination of flavours. I do rather fondly remember fisherman's friends though, nice to know they still exist.
Comfort food for me.... Macaroni with chicken & thyme in a basic white sauce.
Not satisfied with my imaginary food, I've gone and ordered sushi. Starting to think blowing £20 on fishy rice wasn't such good home economics. Better be good when it turns up.

Edit - it was pretty banging, but definitely should not have bought it.Could have got 20 Frey Bentos for that!
So delicious. Tried to bring a load back from amsterdam but it qualifies as a liquid and we weren't allowed tot ake it through security at Schipol! They sell it in the UK now though, hurry.
Such exotica aside, I recently munched pasta wiv bolognesesque sauce. Even though I say it myself, I make a belter of a bologneseque sauce. This one was especially good. In an effort to up my veggie intake I added a tin of ratatouille alongside the tomatoes. Was a good addition. I'd use fresh veg but unless you buy 'em the day you use 'em they've already gone rancid in this weather so tinned seemed a good stand-in. And was.
Only ever had goat curry and am quite a fan. Doesn't really appear on the shelves of the local Co-Op for whatever reason though so not had for quite some time. Never see mutton either but suspect I'd like that too. Had lamb steaks t''other week but lamb is kinda pricey so do wish muttony meats were more widely available - rather fond of that somewhat gamey taste to 'em as well as the cheapness.
Had more pasta bolognesey earlier and now considering a choc 'melt in the middle' pud (don't think microwave ones count as chocolate fondants even if they are "Truly Irresistible" (which is a lie incidentally cos has been in the fridge all night and have resisted for at least most of that time)). The decision-making aspect comes down to the possible addition of custard. Is very tempting. Any excuse for custard really. Custard ganets etc.
