EADD what are you munching on? Not overdone like the last thread.

Might as well go suck on a festering old unwashed gym sock. Parmesan always smelled rancid to me.
That said, I do like a good stilton. Hehe, last time I had it I was going to town on the tram and the big block of it (bought several pounds of a really nice creamy blue stilton from either sainsbury or tesco, I forget now) but it obviously hummed enough to turn a few heads and get a few windows opened=D

Got to go find something to eat myself, canned tuna appeals right now, think theres still a 4-pack in the kitchen cupboard.

Get some mayo in there and you're golden.

They were selling tinned tuna salads in Lidl. the 'Nicoise' one was ok at a push, but the 'Martinique' one....the horror. It had tuna, beans, some kind of slime and fucking pineapple in it.8( Not really trusted tinned Lidl products since.

Just had a bit of leftover choc ripple icecream, a chocolate donut, and am working my way through the first of two cans of tinned tuna.

Mayo, fuck no. I can't stand it, I find quite a lot of sauces and dressings pretty awful. Mayo is one of the worst. I like the tuna straight from the can, preferably in salt water/brine rather than spring water, not a fan of the stuff in oil, too greasy.

All that needs doing to it is to squeeze the excess fluid out of it when opening with the top of the can once its been cut off, then eat.

Could do worse than lidl, I don't shop there as there isn't one near me that I know of, but there is definitely worse options. Got a tub of strawberries from the local spar, that turned out to be covered in mold once opened. And whilst its never happened to me, I've seen some awful stuff on TV about netto, such as bugs in food, a dead rodent of some kind in a tub of butter, and even a loaf of bread that turned out to contain a core of neatly turned out rat slices.

Hilarious to watch from a distance, but put me right off ever eating anything coming from one of their stores.

A pack of nutri-grain bars, blueberry flavour, part of a loaf of brown bread, and a multipack bag of mini cheddars. Craving salty food like no tomorrow today, hence the cans of tuna, I'll probably munch those mini cheddars down in all of 10 minutes. Absolutely ravenous right now.

I like porridge, not had it in a while though. Made with all milk, rather than water, or a mixture, and with a big fat chunk of salty butter, and a generous smattering of salt, then served either with slices of butter on top, so it melts and forms a big molten buttery lake over the top of the porridge, or either golden syrup, or honey on top, again lovely when it melts and you get a mouthful of sweet honey/syrup with every spoonful. Absolutely delish.

Milk on top doesn't sound that nice TBH.

Another good one is golden syrup+plenty of sliced up really ripe, sweet soft banana scattered throughout the porridge itself, with the syrup (or honey) over the top.

I quite like it just drizzled with a bit of black treacle every so often, a big lake of it tastes too strong, but just sprinkled on as one eats, its nice.

I had golden syrup and jam on my porridge for the record. I eat lots of sugary food, must be why I'm so sweet.

Going for Chinese later with father, hmmm... should probably stop taking drugs so I can eat.

Nah, I'm not really skinny spud, was winding ya'll up again. You know I'm a fatty really.

Had a very domestic day. Got a lemon and thyme roast chicken in the oven with some home grown beetroots (no less). We've also started making to some rose hip sizzurp from the roses in the garden. Not sure what it will taste like but it smelled quite apple-y when cooking.

Make sure to properly clean the seedcases, and remove all seeds, to ensure the small hairs on the seeds within the hips does not irritate the intestinal canal. The seed hairs if separated make a really vicious itching powder too.

Tea here was a roast chicken, some fresh strawberries and triple chocolate choc ripple icecream, plus a couple of packets of mini-cheddars. After which involved going for a fag and doing some ID work on a fungus fruitbody recovered after my last hiking trip. Looks like a dog turd, but isn't. Looks like I've found something really rare here, although quite common apparently in north america, Pisolithus tinctorius, otherwise known as the dye-ball fungus or dog turd fungus. Its used for mushroom-based fabric dyes where its common, but very rare in the UK. I'll have to properly section it so I can examine the spores under my high-powered lab microscope properly, and test w/Melzer's reagent, but that will have to be done tomorrow methinks, using the hacksaw or better, the coping saw, as that has a really thin, wire-like blade that should show a much clearer internal view of the structure. I tried cutting into it with the biggest kitchen knife we have, a really sharp butcher knife type thing we use when cutting up big bits of meat, carving roasts and such things, but its so damn dense and hard that I barely managed to chip off a piece a little larger than a fingernail from the surface of this fungus fruitbody.

Ugly looking thing, looks seriously like a dog shit, I'm a little surprised I actually managed to see it at all in the dense duff of the hilly, steep woodland I was strolling through at the time. If it is what I think it is, methinks I'll have to try culturing it on agar plates and introducing it elsewhere in the UK, given the great rarity of the species I think I have here.

Just had a marmalade sandwich, then gave in and ate the rest of the jar of marmalade with a spoon. Lovely posh stuff too, lots of really big thick slices of candied orange peel in it. I think I might get some lime marmalade when I get paid, I love that stuff, straight out of the jar, or on sandwiches. Has to be the sort with lots of peel bits in it though to be proper tasty.

Beer and codeine tonight to deal with my shoulder.

I have a duck leg and a couple of pigs cheeks salting with some thyme ready to confit tomorrow though so there's some nice eating coming up. Not eaten confit anything in a while and I love it.
