I had falafel for lunch (from a really renowned place) and have decided once and for all that I'm really not a huge fan. It's ok for a mouthful or two but I just come off thinking of it like a shit kebab when I have it as a main meal. It's a good way to jazz up the eternally shit chickpea, but there's better ways if you insist on eating them.

I've got a double thickness barnsley chop in the fridge, I reckon I'll have that tonight with just carrots and peas in a butter/chicken stock/thyme emulsion.

No, UK. And far from either stereotypical OR fat. I seem to be one of those people who can get away with eating more or less anything (when theres something around to eat that is) and not get fat. Even if I stick to a diet of shite I don't seem to vary my weight much, its stayed more or less constant for years.

Chickpeas aren't bad, I like the canned ones with the beans when I do chilli especially.

I bought a duck leg to confit to eat with some sauteed duck hearts today but I think the chance of me cooking them tonight is pretty low.
 
Apparently I had Japanese katsu chicken curry... via the medium of the microwave. So bland you'd be hard-pushed to say what it was other than it had lots of onion and red pepper amongst unusually yellowy lumps of chicken which apparenty involved coconut. Tasted vaguely like really, really watered down curry sauce from the chippy. Meh.

In food with some flavour news, also had some Moroccan chicken thingies (kinda like samosas) which were actually quite tasty.
 
Just finishing a bag of chocolate-filled donuts. A day or two past best but still fine.

Duck hearts? never heard of that one before.
 
I kinda figured that much out for myself.

I meant that its not something I've ever seen for sale, or heard of people eating before. Beef/lamb hearts yes, but never duck.
I do like duck though, especially the chinese crispy duck from my local chinese takeout, bloody expensive though.

Oh yeah, I love chinese crispy duck and those little pancake rolls you put it in, beautiful.
Tonight I had a big plate of chilli and taco shells. Stomach is satisfied
 
Yeah, thats the stuff I mean, comes in a pile of shredded meat/crisped up skin, with some savory pancakes and hoi sin sauce. Although I don't eat the sauce.
 
Duck hearts... Only time I've had them is at one of those Rodizio places. Any of you guys been? It's basically a South American BBQ place. You get a card that's green on one side and red on the other - you leave it facing green and they keep coming round with a skewer with various meats (Duck hears being one) and carve it onto your plate. They only stop bringing you meat when you flip your card to red (there's also usually a good quality buffet with salad, nice lasagne, pinto beans, fried potatoes, rice etc etc.)

It's deliciously fatty and salty, which also keeps you drinking like a maniac . Last time I went I was stoned. Furthermore, I can't stop myself trying to get 'my money's worth' [you can take the man out of yorkshire...] so was basically eating meat non stop for 2hrs +, plus drinking gallons of stella.

It was the only time I've nearly been sick on a table, Mr Creosote style. I managed to shuffle, very slowly, to the exit, after settling the bill, and managed to reach a bin in the o2 centre in the nick of time. Gastronomy at its best!
 
I had salmon and salad and that kinda shit today for dinner. Healthy Summer. I'm going out for a meal with father tomorrow evening, oooh, can't wait (for the food that is, not for seeing my father... free meal is a free meal bitches). I eat pretty unhealthily (but always have a healthy dinner), I just don't eat very much (unless you count cocaine as food) so I don't put on weight. In fact I think I'm still losing it, I must be under by a bit at the moment I think, never weigh myself though so idk. I look good so don't really care, good excuse to be able to stuff my face with ice cream as well.
 
Nothing wrong with not eating a lot, as long as you go for it when it comes to it. Not about pushing your food round a plate uninterestedly.

I sometimes only eat one meal a day, but when I do, I go at with gusto (not talking about eating slobbily, but heartily). I think it demonstrates an appetite for life, and all that that entails...
 
I don't always eat daily, but try to pack down a fair bit when I do, otherwise I tend to graze and snack more than go for a main meal.

Just finished some really nice strawberries. Been a really good year for them IMO, been having those quite often just late, as they are one of the few things my mom won't just leave, the one I've had have been huge, 3-4 times usual size sometimes even.
