Cheese on crumpets - how do you make them ?

I got a chicken kebab take away and made some hummus / foul (hummus but with broad beans).
 
Not sure if that's a serious question... :D

I was lazy so just used a toaster & put them under the grill to melt the cheese. Ideally I'd use the grill only but it takes longer.

Good on you for making some part of the meal even if you were getting a takeaway!

Sorry chatative - I thought you had been making (from ingredients) crumpets - was so impressed as love them. (ss / owen - recipe please :D).
 
Haha... you know, I'm sure I could manage but that REALLY is too much effort for something I consider comfort food.

Chatative - I've been into baking the last few weeks so made bread, cakes n 'stuff' - Yeah its a fucking ball buster to spend 3 hours to make a loaf of bread when you can buy it in Asda for 13 pence. Its sort of different :D

You'd be better off getting some cardboard out the skip... it's free & tastier than that the bread you get for 13p.

I've baked some cakes in the past... Coffee & Walnut cake is nice. Never tried bread or anything like that though.

47p for duck bread :D ? Fuck that what happend to the morrisons / asda loaves for 15p :D coffee and walnut - either one of them with banana <3 use a shot of coffee in either to boost the flavor.
 
Salad day today. Made delicious dressing: basil yoghurt some balsamic vinegar ... Also used grilled zuchini for a bit of sweetness...

Haven't eaten for days, so gearing up for some bastardised chinese and no mistake - Salt and pepper wings, prawn toast, smoked shredded chicken, mixed sweet and sour balls, house special chow mein. Might even get some banana fritters for novelty value.
 
Burnt my pizas down to pure charcole twice over the last month due to falling asleep whilst they were cooking in the oven. I'd post a pic of one of them if i could be arsed, as i have yet to get round to the kitchen sorting sunday chore. As the first one was an expensive luxury treat variety i attempted to eat it regardless, but it proved to be completely inedible. :\ I always wondered what kind of dozy bastards overcook their food so much that it gets burned to fuck or they set their kitchen on fire, i now have slighltly more sympathy and understanding as to how and why such things can happen.
 
MDB no loud beepy timer setting on your oven? :? Always set mine as get so distracted easily.

Just had huge bowl of pre-washed and chopped fresh fruit. Mango <3s.
 
Ham & loads of salad... need to cycle cutting out carbs. im a wobbly bloater compared to what i used to be like. usually good diet but too many carbs i think.. and pretty much ditching vodka for pints hasnt done me any favors altho is much less taxing on liver and kidneys, feeling better for it
 
Mangoes? do share. I ADORE mangoes. Fresh, dried in chewy strips, juice, candy, soda, or anything else for that matter.

As for me, I'm just waiting for a chicken to finish roasting. Wish it would hurry up, I haven't had anything to eat in days and days, save for a few biscuits and some slices of bread yesterday. My folks share a breast portion between them, then I'll strip it down to bone and cartilage. My stomach is telling me my throats been cut at the moment...so fucking hungry right now.
