Im sorry to disagree but Animal Kingdom is fighting for top spot of my all time favourite films, it just really bowled me over and knocked me for six, kill list might make the top 200 possibly. Each to their own though, of course. I will watch Down Terrace, it'll probably be on fim4 eventually eh ?

It far from a fucking comedy mate:) Believe me:) Maybe Black comedy... nah scrub that... there's fuck all comical about it. Its very slow paced but its proper mental.

I'm setting myself up for a big fall here... I know it lol.

Fuck it... I liked it.

I agree but I like a good British dark film. Makes you think it might be happening next door:)

yeah i know what you mean, im no fuckin film buff, but the brits are making some damn good films these days. In general, they just havent quite got that extra something that the films from other nations have. We are playing catch up, and gaining ground quickly. Im sue theres some fine british films that i just cant recall atm. Im not into just Hollywood stuff, although i enjoy a great blockbuster like Gladiator, (watched it about 6 times) i tend to like films with an edge, i like 'indie' off beat films too, japanese horor movies are amongst the best around, they really capture the psychological terror and suspense. I mean AK was Australian, maybe thats what gave it such an edge, i think the only australian thing id seen before that was neighours nad Walkabout (probably some other ones that i cant currently recall too)

Going back a bit Midnight Express was also an awesome drug related film. It had a huge impact on me as a teen. Not seen it for years though, not usre how it would stand the test of time.

Just watched this

Two-Lane-Blacktop-Masters-of-Cinema-Poster.jpg

Quality film.

Not sure what to go for next, having a quiet one tonight with a bag of weed.

Just watched The Untouchables which is unintentionally(?) hilarious. Outrageously unsuitable music and packed with clichés (or did clichés not exist in the late 80s?), God know's how it's hailed as a classic.

Just seen the film GRAVITY in the cinema in 3D pretty damn good in my book. just checked it got 97% on rotten tomato's, nicht schlecht

A mate said it was absolutely brilliant, not seen it myself yet but planning on it soon

Animal Kingdom - MDB, it wasn't that great! :D Not bad though.

bah, each to their own. ;) You sounded as if yiou were kind of reluctantly begrudgingly going to watch it ealier on, or am i imagining that ? :\ Didnt Pope scare the shit out you ? Some people loved it, some hated it, you thought it 'wasnt bad'. I think the the consensus was that it was very good though. Maybe i enjoyed it more than most, but it really hit the spot for me. Oh i was on odt at the time, maybe that had something to do with it. :\

"Im all out of Love, I cant live without you....." as that cuts to seome eerie creepy music and the camera pans round to show Pope studying the pretty girl asleep on the couch. We can only wonder what is going through his mind at that stage, but we know its not good.

Metascore 83.
Based on 33 critic reviews provided by Metacritic.com

i dont think its just me, or the odt, though for personal reasons and cos i was high on odt the film is one of my favourites. IIRC i was thoroughly heartbroken and stunned by the end of the fim.

Still, you're glad you watched it right ? Not thinking, 'that fuckin mdb cost me 2 hours of my life there watching that grim crap' lol ?
