EADD Motorbike/Scooter Discussion

ooo ghostrider, i won a competition on the ghostrider website, and won a signed copy of ghostrider goes crazy in europe :) .. he is a fuckin madman like, i'm thinking i may have to purchase the new dvd as i've heard its even more insane :)

Felix: I'm thinking the ferry from newcastle is sounding alot better, half the price AND its straight to 'dam.. I'll let my mates know and see what they think, i know one of the bikers is hell bent on letting rip through europe to amsterdam like.. but i think i could pursuade him to jus ferry it there, then go mental on the way back, atleast then if we crash, we actually got to see dam lol :D

Just out of curiosity, when are you n your mates planning your next trip for?

Saftey advice taken :) ... if it was directed at me, which i'm sure it was :)

^ I think your plan is definitely best. It's the only way that makes sense, to me anyway. Tell your mate he'll be able to blast away from Amsterdam at the start and then blast towards it on the way back. In other words you (and we) will have two stopoffs at the Dam. What's not to like? :)

Ummm... mid-July. We thought we'd do it when it's the most expensive/boiling hot/full of schoolkids. We like a challenge. ;) Nah, it was either that or leave it till the end of October. Fuck that.

Holy shit, it's only 12 weeks away. 8o When are you lot going?

haha yup, i spoke to him and he seems alot more keen on my idea now :), and the lad in the car is even happier because now he doesnt have to chase after us through europe to dam, just on the way back when it doesnt matter as much lol.. and yeh 2 stop off's in dam sounds like a dream come true, good way to wind down after the trip :)

haha your damn right it will be a challenge, mind you thats when we are doing it, except its next year we are going, as we already have 2 holidays booked for this year :) .. gives us time to get the funds about us again :).. oooo 12 weeks, that'll fly in mate, bet you cant wait for it like? .. seem's like one of the best holidays to do like :)

Fuckin hell man. What happened?

Don't tell me. You were thinking about the blondie neighbour, right? :)

Hey, why don't you just give jude your XTZ? It'll make you feel good, will save you from moving it, and it'll let him join the biker gang. ;)

Was having a bit of fun and got carried away with the throttle. It was one of those bridges that just lets the front end go into the air rather than sending the whole bike flying.
I snapped the throttle shut just as it was reaching the point where I would have been in trouble and it came down nicely with barely a bump.
Already moved the xtz into london. I will be selling it soon. Will tidy it up first.

when i was 10 i started off with a kx-80, bless it.

it had a quarter turn throttle :D an on/off switch would have been more appropriate. it took us a few weeks to sort out the rear damper - the fucker kept nosing forwards in the air, eventually resulting in a memorably boy-meets-bathtub incident (at the track we used to ride at the boundaries were marked by upside-down bathtubs). but it really ripped along, great little thing. ended up having to shelve it when my folks went their separate ways.

next up was a yz 250

which lasted 3 months before we moved into the city and i had to let it go :( my grandfather bought it and ran it as a crosser for the next five years or so.

great stuff, i'd love to have one of those to mess about on. my own bike, despite its off-road pretensions, is far too heavy for anything serious.

i didn't have you down as a biker, seuss. fancy that. :)

:)

i never got a road license... and i don't think i could in the UK. is your bike your sole means of transport? how do you cope with, well, winter?

*shudders*

balls of steel presumably!

It's my fingers that get coldest.
I think I'll be happier once I've moved closer to London. I'll still be using the bike for my daily commute, but I won't have to if I don't like the look of the weather or just feel a bit hungover.

^ HEATED GRIPS FTW! %)

Hell no, suess, I'm a big girly fair weather biker. Unless I get caught out in the rain, of course.

I do have heated grips. Unfortunately, the controller broke at the beginning of winter and by the time i'd got a new set the bike had been taken away by insurers after an accident, so I was stuck on a hire bike that didn't have heated grips.
Now I have my bike back, I don't need them.

Oh, god yes. Just put my knee sliders back on for the first time in 6 months.
My sexual perversions run more to transvestitism than masochism.
I'm not a very good sadist, either.
