squiddy - i hope you gleaned enough information from the woman to make your CV relevant?
 
Does anyone want to convert my PDF to .doc? :)

There are programs online that do it but they are all for Windows. We have 4 Macs and 2 lunix machines in this house
 
Only thing is I've not really done a CV before, and my job history is non-existant (several years of flogging computer bits over the internet and a sideline in herbal supplies :p). Going to have to pimp up the degree-based skills to the max I think.
 
You've got a degree in chemistry and have spent the past few yrs as a ebay merchant? :s

this is why it's important to tailor your CV to match the job. that is a constant process. :\

so phone her back and ask her exactly what the job entails, taking copius notes. only then would you know what to put in your CV. if any of it is unfamiliar, do some research in case it's mentioned at an interview.

i'm not suggesting you lie on your CV. i wouldn't advise anyone to do that, unless they are very good at keeping lies going for a long time and don't care about being caught out.

thats was my goal for aaaaages. infact if im honest its my goal right now aswell, just not really possible, if i can make enuff money thru slightly less legit means to pay my rent i will. problem is im no good at sticking to rule number 4 - never get high off your own supply

Nah I just finished my degree, I just meant that's how I made my £ before uni, so a prior job history is not forthcoming!

Not that they really give a monkeys whether or not you worked in maccies or tesco for a bit before you went to uni anyway.
 
i've got a job! but it only lasts for three weeks. and it starts in a month. got it through an agency who sent my CV to the client. they didn't even want to interview me, which i'm guessing is common for temp work?

i'm looking forward to the dosh, which will pay off all my debts in one go, but i'm not really looking forward to 21 x 12 hour shifts in a row. 8o

i'm in for a much better job on a different platform, which is a long term staff position. closing date is on friday, so the ideal situation (fingers crossed) is that i get that one, and don't need to do the temp one. come on!

update from everyone else requested please. :)

FINALLY! i got told today that i've got an interview for this job, all this time later. 8(

next tuesday. clearly they're not in any hurry...

i'll still be doing the temp job starting next friday, like. so if i do get the above job they'll have to wait for me to come back. :)

how's everyone else doing?
