Sadly not a 'good' cactus but I'm intending on acquiring a few in the near future
Could possibly have over-watered it as I've only recently taken an interest in plants and the like and when you're younger you assume all plants need water all the time. He's done well to keep going, got a pic now, camera was acting up yest.
He doesn't usually live there, was just easier to take a pic. Usually takes residence in front of my window. See what I mean though, the bottom looks all dried out and dead whereas the top few inches look fairly lively.
Edit: Bonus garden pictures:
Back garden. It's taken years to get it like this, it was a building site not so long ago.
Can't wait til these trees grow. Not entirely sure what they are.
This pond-y thing is usually full. Dunno why it's been drained. Nice view when it's actually got water in and it attracts loads of wildlife. As such our garden frequently plays home to swans, kingfishers, sheep and, for one summer a few years ago, a peacock.
And these little fellas are flourishing nicely all round the front garden :D
The front garden is still a bit of a building site at the moment, though it has its charms. I'm wanting the side garden for a vegetable patch. It doesn't get much in the way of sun but I recall growing various veggies there when I was a little 'un.
