My God is my sense of right and wrong and my moral values, and my acceptance that other people have different "Gods/gods" but we're all essentially on the same sort of wavelength, apart rom a few wrong 'uns.

Looks fun, good place to take the family you may think. So you pay a fair bit to get in, and you don't pay much attention to all the informative stuff on the walls cos there's animals to look at and shit. But look closer and its all creationist propeganda, explaining about the 7 days and all that. Loads of it.

I was livid Id been tricked into giving my hand earned cash to a creationist establishment and I cant believe they dont have to advertise the extremely strong religious nature of the place. You would never ever guess it from the website or advertising they do. maybe the name shouldv'e given it away but i didnt twig.

the impossible game

No matter what your religion, all the way along you will generally surround yourself with people who tell you yes this is correct, just carry on walking this path and god'll take care of you in the end. How do you know youre on the RIGHT path if there's so many other people completely devoted to the idea that THEIR path is correct.

Its possible to reconcile Christianity with evolution. Many seniors in many faiths piss their pants at the concept of creationism & denial of evolution, and they;re far from unfamiliar with the concept of Gods love. You lose a lot of credibility points imo if you believe in the literal translation of the old testament. They were always intended as simplistic allegories.

Check out those birds flying in formation.. Nobody has told them the way but they appear
to know where they are going.. and they are doing it v tidily in a lovely V formation I must
add. :)

I like the Earth History part of the website where they try and convince you that the noahs ark story actually happened. Cmon... I'd be impressed if he managed to collect all 360 species of known tree frogs never mind EVERY seed for every plant on earth plus 2 of every animal, get to fuck!

What about every species of animal for the known world, which at the time was the middle east/egypt. Doesn't sound all that impossible to me.

Freehugs, noah had 8 staff and kept his ship running for over a year, think of how many species live in the middle east alone of just dung beetles (of which there are 7000+ known), do you really think its possible for noah to have collected 2 of every species plus the the food and equipment to keep them alive? i'm guessing the ship would have to be something like 1000x the size of the titanic.. why am I even going to the effort of typing this out!?!?!

Actually, I was desperate when I became a Christian.. Id been travelling in India and came back pregnant..8o

Before that ( even though Ihad been studying theology) the bible didnt really speak to my heart.. It was just a load of vicious strict looking rantings and thees and thous..

Do you ever feel guilty that God had to stop saving all those poor dying kids in Africa to help you out after you got knocked up? I mean you were probably stressing for weeks and got the answer you were searching for, but to be honest he may have been better off organising some rain to end a drought. I guess your Lord works on quality not quantity when it comes to helping out strangers.

playing devils advocate, god cannae save everyone, without terrible like the wars starving and poverty, there'd be no good (though ima strict agnostic, live and let live fuck the world itsa piece of shit and if there is a god why dont he fix it? and il try and do what i can and make it better but it wont stop me fulfilling my life, might be sommat out there might not, no need to fret over it... or does that mke me a taoist? (know fuck all about most religions) fuck knows)
 
I would have thought creating a few rain clouds would be more loving than opening the pages of a bible or allowing a wild ricochet to score the winning goal in an FA cup final, yet you get some mong thanking God for all manner of shit. If the bible is gods word, how come he only gave it to a small pocket of the middle east? I guess he didn't create those poor bastards in China and South America in his image afterall.
