Putting aside the fact that I do not believe in organised religion or a god in the sense that a Christian would, I'm taking it that you are saying that you do not see the Christian god as a solely male entity, just that often the Christian God is referred to as the father in English but this is a mere convenience and not a statement that the Christian God is actually male.
Have I got that correct ?

So can you see that that crutch is not real? It is something that you cling to to get you through life, but it's not actually a real thing. It was invented by people. Admittedly you are using it for a better reason than a lot of people & it's probably a better crutch than a bag of smack, but it's still not a real thing. At least heroin is real.

No I don't get you on that at all, on the one hand you say "God is definately male " then go on about being feminine as well.
I can't see how if there were to be a god in the way Christianity suggests that male and female would come into it at all, we are talking about an entity that is supposed to have created the universe the idea of male and female even being relevant seems ridiculously crude.
I can understand that for convenience Christians refer to God as the father or what ever but you don't seriously believe that God as an entity is one or the other ?

& nothing invented us. We evolved. There's pretty solid evidence for that.
Sounds more like your bailing out when someone challenges some of you beliefs a bit more deeply, the whole idea of an entity that could create the universe needing to be concerned about male / female , light/ dark, that entity if it does exist must exist on a completely different level to us something well beyond our understanding.
As for who created us we evolved, please don't tell me your a creationist if that's the case we may a well close the thread now, next you'll be telling me the world was created in 7 days. That one has alway made me laugh how can the time it took to create the earth be based on the time it takes for it to rotate, so the time was based on something that didn't exist and the idea of this entity being limited by time, or that you could measure its actions with a watch ...come on I'm not saying this means that all of Christianity is BS but you have to keep up with how much the human race has learned you can't rely on a selection of bits of scripture cobble together and translated badly and take it all literally in English.

That isnt to say that I couldnt do a damn good impression of a Grand Inquistador and I will regardless of whether people find it freaky or not.. Im starting to understand why sam does Hitler ffs.
I wasnt balling out ATM.. I need to go up the shop/watch Casualty.. Its not a subject I would want to ball out of.. I love talking about God.
I think the theory of evolution has its strengths.. And there are Christian evolutionists..

Also re God existing on a different level.. God is described by the bible and church as being both transcendent and immanent.. with us and separate..
