EADD Body Modification Thread

Yeah, I can leave my lip piercings out for weeks, and there's no issue getting something back through the holes.

the longest I've left my tongue ring out is three years and that popped back in no bother.

I've also had the thing for 13 years so it should be all healed.

haha do tongue holes really stay open that long?
i have had my tongue done at each side for 7 or so years now and still get scared taking it out for the dentist hah :|
think my ear holes will stay open pretty much forever, don't see an inch sized hole returning to nothing

I've had to pop mine through that often that I think I've just created a bar sized scar. Mine doesnt close. Well it didnt for three years anyway.

The only peircngs I have that never heal over are my ears, left them out for years and decided to pop some earring sin a couple of years ago and they were still fi9ne. All my other piercings have had a rather irritating tendancy to heal over in about 5 seconds ¬_¬

Quick question re: double flared plugs.

I'm at 16mm, and am more than likely remaining at that size. But if I wanted to get some double flared plugs, would I have to wear 15mm on account of having to overstretch to put them in?. Just wondering cuz I'm quite keen on those clear pyrex plugs with various oddities embedded in the middle.

i never did, just angle them in, if you've been at 16mm for a while there'll be enough slack to pop it in, 15mm would be loose

Cheers. Yeah, that's kinda what I thought. :)

But when I went looking for jewellery in a piercing studio, that's what one of the dudes told me. It put me off buying some rather interesting pieces.

I went against everything I was originally looking for, and ended up ordering some sono wood with crocodile wood Inlay plugs.

I needed something kinda neutral anyway, and they're nice.

I got my ear pierced for a fiver in Hackney the other day, just a plain gold stud on the right hand side, looks nice but I haven't got a pic considering getting a scaffold done on the other side.

Lemme guess, gun?

guns cause much more tissue trauma and there's no way to sterilise them, there's a fair bit of difference like

I was silly and 17 when I got the top of my cartlidge pierced with a gun. Shattered it. It hurt like mad for a few months, after I gave up on it, and I now have a nice keloid lump, and a visible scar, not that horrendous but you can see it's had a piercing in it.

There is no piercing snobbery involved when it comes to guns v needles for piercings. Just simple sense!

Fuck guns, I want the actual physical feeling of having a needle stuck through me by some kind fucker <3

They really are shite for almost all piercings anyway, sense not snobbery...

What difference does it make?

I detect a hint of piercing snobbery in your post lol, apologies if i'm wrong.

Not snobbery - but piercing guns really should be illegal. They cause so much shit its unreal. Just google reasons for piercing guns being made illegal and youll get plenty of links about it. Needle is safer and more hygenic (a piercing gun can't be autoclaved like piercing equipment and needles are single use). Id rather not risk getting someone elses blood bourne diseases thanks to something that isnt guaranteed to be 100% sterile.

ALL professional piercers use needles and highly object to guns - I think that speaks for itself really.
