EADD Bitcoins 2

I aint tryin to brag

fuck it, imma bou ta brag

called so much shit in the last thread, can't quote it in though (lucky for you guys):

teenager dying from drugs bought online making news (ok that one was a gimme)

there being multiple DPRs (first one was a cool guy)

Litecoin going up in price (I'll truly brag about this if it cracks higher than .02/btc again, until its free from btc that aint shit)

"you really shouldn't keep any kind of coins on a website period" (SR went *poof*, couple of exchanges *poof*!, couple of mining websites *poof*!)

AMD killing nVidia (mama needs a R9 290x!)

"You dont want to be the guy asking how to mine them after they hit 1k diff." (fuckin lol)

Mt Gox being ran by pieces of shit ($100 more per btc than btc-e? how the fuck?)

one thing the jury is still out on is Digital Coin (DGC), good thing I aint fuck with it more than on my 2nd GPU, which I sold right before the R7/R9s came out. GPUs devalue extremely fast? when did that start happening?)

and I did not see them reaching $700+, I really don't know if this is just a spike or a long-lasting trend

if I had to guess honestly though, this is a giant gasp for cash from the powers that be, and they're about to cash out hard and fast. if you have coins, spend them now IMO

or hang on to them, you never know

Localbitcoins would be easy, just sign up and click trade, mtgox or whatever would make it a mission though

fuck if only if known this was gonna happen eh. A couple of weeks ago i was thinking i was too late to jump back on, but could have quadrupled my money. They cant keep rising for ever can they ? What would cause them to crash ? Bitstamp made it one hell of a mission, a bit shady those guys.

Shittie legislation to deanon them by us government. Tbh ther so widespread and exposed now i can only see it increasing for the near future, i've got a few inm hoplding onto

Shit I shouldn't spend my bitcoins when drunk and etized. Thought my account had been hacked and funds stolen till I found the goodies that had arrived in the post, had also managed to change my password and sent a tenners worth of coin to some random address which I can't find or remember anything about.

key quote of that imo

A bunch of faggots said:
In the meantime, the Treasury Department called on virtual currency providers to take it upon themselves to put controls in place to stop bitcoin’s nefarious "bad actors”—for one, by registering with FinCEN, the agency’s anti-money laundering agency and reporting any suspicious activity. According to the Feds, bitcoin is going to be a major player in the financial system, and regulation is bound to catch up—because it has to.

seriously, if it's not being used for money laundering, what the fuck is the point?

Being able to send a 'unit of value' worldwide in minutes with fees at little as 0.0001BTC (or 5p while BTC=£500) or no fee at all if you don't mind waiting a day or so for the transaction to be incorporated into a block.

As long as the receiving end has controls to quickly exchange it back into fiat money there isn't even much price fluctuation risk.
This could be as easy as integrating with bitpay or even something home made like setting up a bot on the exchange that the price is being derived from, to instantly sell at spot price.

Also, a store of value that has aspects of commodities, but is more easily divisible and spend/sendable than cash.

Also the government can't just print more to devalue everyone elses, and it's quite hard for them to confiscate them if secured properly as evidenced by the SilkRoad takedown.

Anonymous but public transaction of $147 million, paid no transaction fee; http://www.coindesk.com/194993-btc-transaction-147m-mystery-and-speculation/

Your gonna need to strap some extra calculators to the side of your PC, it wont take the strain alone without the help of them solving all those algorithms. I recommend 4x Casios.

Even mining alt currencies these days is beyond 1 pc setup mining 24/7 you wont see many gains till the price goes up and by then it will be too hard to mine anyway. Could be potential goldmines on some peoples pcs though.

yeah I know very little about bitcoins but the little I do know is that it's the miners who were in early who will get the free lunches out of it. It's becoming a game of serious investment. A fucking ridiculous game if you ask me.

I succumbed to the great rise at the £470 mark. Invested £200

They're over £700 P/BC now.

If I sell today I've made over £100, and ensured a happy Christmas.

though, I'm gonna leave that £200 in my wallet for one year. Hopefully I'll be a millionaire next Christmas. Or £200 worse off. Fair gamble...
