Crisis warning over deadly drug cocktail '10 times stronger than Fentanyl'
Experts have warned a sharp rise in use could result in a wave of deaths unless urgent action is taken to protect casual users and addicts.news.sky.com
Mainstream media discussing this. For once i agree with them there is a crisis looming with all the bensedin and loose benzos being consumed in the UK surely this doesn't end well.
The UK legacy media is just as good at this as ever - you do not strike me as anything close to naïve with respect to the drug scene and most certainly recognise how right it is that the most likely outcome is, as reported, a mess, however, to split hairs over specific mechanics instead of acknowledging what the real problem has been since day 1 is how they still con people - even the likes of us who have been dealing with this issue in one extent or another since first using any drug that is not a physically identifiable type of cannabis matter.
The media, following their first collusion with the Met Police in the early 70's, are responsible for convincing the UK's population that drug use is an inherently criminal act and are chiefly responsible for the lack of progress made. Even the one small step made in the right direction - the downgrading of ganja to Class C was undone by nothing more than a few hysterical mothers blaming 'skunk' weed for sending their kids bananas. The last thing I want to do is minimise the misery of having to deal with a psychotic illness for the first time and I have seen first hand how unhelpful smoking cannabis is with respect to how drastically it can exacerbate positive psychotic symptoms in people already poorly, but the whole thing with weed being responsible for causing such severe illness in the first place is IMO bullshit. I can understand it being a precursor type stressor in the asymptomatic with underlying tendencies but so can be any pressure teens have to endure.
