EADD Benzo Discussion v. Finally remembered to start a new thread.

You are right Dan...benzos need to be treated with utmost respect. The thing is when we are talking prescribed benzos they are fairly well controlled (most are CDs - controlled drugs) but with the huge influx of internet purchased "legal" benzos often bought in multiple gram quantities I predict a very messy time ahead in the future. We are already seeing it on this board and I've seen it out on the road with work....people are literally dropping like flies from benzo/opiate/alcohol combos which cause respiratory depression and if you aren't careful (which many people aren't) then death.

Midazolam is more for surgery when given with an opiate like fentanyl. It cause extreme drowsiness and amnesia afterwards so people don't remember painful procedures (like getting a wisdom tooth out ...or having a fucking video camera shoved up your arse...or down your throat).

It's also used to reverse grand mal seizures. It's a very, very powerful benzo and should be given the utmost respect

I had a rough morning, so I drank a bit (hey, it's my birthday) and took more than a few benzos and zopiclones. I woke up at quarter to seven with no detailed memory of the events that made the morning so bad. On the other hand, I did just write an email, have to go off to find my laptop charger, and, seeing the email again, I had no idea that I'd written it and no idea to whom it was addressed. I'm enjoying this too much.

Happy Birthday. :)

Can I ask: why would you take "more than a few" zopiclones? Surely you don't get any recreational value from them? IME, one zopiclone puts me in a sleep coma within minutes.

Happy Birthday Kota <3 I really cannot stand zops, the taste they leave in your mouth the following day is foul, I'd rather stay up all night than have that honking breath.. disgusting things.. Imo ime blah blah etc etc

My personal theory (for what it's worth) is that a lot of sleeping pills give you that bad breath/bad taste thing in the morning because when they put you into deep REM sleep you tend to breath through your mouth (very common) the sucking air over your teeth and into your mouth like that for 7-8 hours dries the mouth terribly and that's what causes the rank taste.

I've had chronic insomnia for years and have been prescribed every benzo and z-drug there is just about and that happens to me a lot...nothing a bit of collgate and listerene won't fix though....just don't kiss the missus first ;)

Very messy times ahead in the future indeed. Not good at all

Sorry to hear about the chronic insomnia man, bet that drives you nuts, so frustrating, sleep deprivation is horrible,

You are a very wise person. Erm, I myself may or may not be one of the idiots you describe (death did not occur although various other shit did). Not proud of myself and learnt lesson. Treat benzos with caution, especially those of the "legal", powder, active at milligram doses variety.

Edit: Still, for all its flaws, powder etizolam, as long as you dissolve it and dose properly, and are very careful, is certainly useful for its effects and not having to worry about any criminal nonsense.

It's actually not quite as bad as it used to be. I get a piddleing 4mg of diazepam prescribed a day but I tend to save it for when I really need it. That way I can take a dose that actually does something plus I'm not dependent on it if I don't take it daily.

The best sleep med I've ever had is Sominax (promethazine) from Boots (over the counter). It does leave you proper drowsy though.

Getting up at 4:45am them working a 12 hour non-stop shift tends to wear me out enough to send me to sleep most of the time. Night shift is worse cos sometimes when you get home at about 7:30-8:00 ish you just can't switch off and get to sleep . Plus it's noisy as fuck in the daytime so a good set of ear plugs are a must (the wax and cotton ones not those shit cheap foam ones). The problem with using benzos to sleep is that it has to be short term just to re-establish natural sleep patterns. If you use them every night you will never be able to sleep without them once you stop and it becomes an habituation.....then a problem.

Do you have problems sleeping too?

YTreat benzos with caution, especially those of the "legal", powder, active at milligram doses variety.

QFT.

Also I wouldn't necessarily describe people who do silly things or hurt themselves as idiots. I think I once said this before but the silly things people do on benzos are inherent to the drugs themselves (dis-inhibition and amnesia) and not necessarily a reflection on the person who does it. Just a bit more care needed that's all.

The problem is though that rather than having a small script from the doctor (I get a whopping 28mg of diazepam a week) people are buying like 2,000mg of etiz at once which makes careful use harder to practice.

I just came off 8mg of diazepam eight days ago, had tapered down from ~200mg over the course of nine months. Been pretty easy, can't complain really.

Promethazine is definitely the best otc sleep med imo, was smashing too much of it using it to boost opiates though and it stopped working pretty quick. Was taking ~300mg most evenings.

Yeah, plus at least you know your 28mg of diazepam is actually 28mg... Jesus NHS lorazepam is the shit, if they'd give me a script I'd literally be laughing all the way to the pharmacy.

Otherwise, this has been asked in another thread but: Can anyone give me a reliable source regarding all this talk of an impending etizolam ban, or is it hearsay?

As far as I can tell it's hearsay.

Apparently a number of suppliers have sent out emails saying they're not stocking up when out of stock though. What the reasons are behind this I'm not entirely sure.

If I end up buying legal etiz on tor sites I will punch something.

Got enough to last me a while yet fortunately. Well, at least a month. Probably at least a month.

A thought has occurred. I know source discussion isn't allowed, but this should be within the rules: As they're not covered by the MODA couldn't one just import the fuckers? Or would that expose one to separate laws?

Years ago when I was on a larger amount of diazepam I accidentally lost a whole 2 month supply (don't ask...long story). Anyway I knew asking my doc for more would be pointless (he wouldn't believe me ask "lost" prescriptions are the oldest trick in the book) so I turned to the internet (this was about 2008 so long before all these "legal" benzos came out.

I had bought steroids and viagra over the net with no problem before so I thought why not diazepam? It wasn't a CD so not breaking the law. So I got some from a German Website (branded valium) but were mega expensive. So I found a much cheaper website based in Pakistan (doh!..obviously stuff from Pakistan is likely to be inspected). Anyway I got a nice letter from HM customs saying they had my diazepam and while I hadn't broken the law and could try to take them to court to get it back not to fucking bother cos I was wasting my time........my last foray into the world of buying meds over the internet haha!;)

Lol gutted, I've bought meds from that part of the world loads of times with no problem. Pretty unfortunate getting a love letter first ever time you try.

It's probably the centre of the world for counterfeit meds, even more coming out of there than china I think.
