DNB is GOD

yeah im a big dnb fan. although ive stopped popping pills and shit, i still get a buzz when i listen to ar create a drum and bass track. for some reason, i always feel a tingle along my spine and my hairs stand on end. why is it only drum and bass that does that, even when im sober?

%)

everyone...go to dnb-sets.de and search for fanu-the all fanu mix 2.....smooth ass dnb kids...fuckin smooth as hell, with some phat hip hop esque segues thrown in...my favorite mix of the moment...fanu is a big bad motherfucker!!

and who else is feeling the upbeats-view from inside?

^Yeah got that Fanu mix not too long ago. Different style of DnB to what i normally listen to. BUT I LIKE IT!

as for The Upbeats, they be rocking it with some dirty bizzness...quality dnb duo. mixing and production is down pat

I NEED THIS SONG

dnb is really underground in the us, even within the rave scene seems like many know very little about the music

^ theres probably more americans involved in the scene than you think, artists like - Ewun, Evol, Hive, Gein, liquid producers like - Basic Ops, Chino, Submorphics. these people would'nt exist if their was'nt some sort of following behind them. yes its small at the moment but it exists. i can ask most people in the uk what drum n bass is and they wont know, and we invented the fucker.
its just the way it is with dnb, its an underground ting ya gets me. ;)

i hope the music does become known as a genre worldwide but it'll take alot of time and a particularly mainstream sound to penetrate the awareness of the masses. i think what pendulum are doing is creating a more general party vibe with their music that anyone can enjoy, this is the path to getting dnb known. i don't know if its a good thing though.

USA coming thru in a big way! Ewun, Evol, Hive, Gein all making some seriously stomping tunes!

I quite like the whole underground aspect of DnB. Its what makes it unique. I dun see it becoming mainstream anytime soon. Although as you've mentioned socks Pendulum are paving a way for a larger audience to be exposed to DnB. What i also don't like about it becoming mainstream is it could lead to poorly produced music that is meant for the radio etc. Another thing why it prolly won't become mainstream anytime soon is that its hard enough pushing people to listen to the more softer side of DnB in the form of Liquid/Clown-Step/Jump-Up let alone the harsher styles e.g (the evil dirty scare the shit outta ur sister type stuff from the likes of Evol Intent, Spor, Tech Itch, Raiden, Corrupt Souls, Kryptic Minds, Dom & Roland.....ehh the list goes on)

DnB like other things is a way of life. To embrace yourself in it makes u a slave to all things DnB. And I am a slave 4 life!! =D

D&B was insanely popular in the mid-90s when Goldie and Metalheads were on the throne- it was all over the radio, pop remixes, celebrity producers in the movies and on tv! Interest waned I think when Norman Cook and Breakbeat turned up, a lot of the middle-class money crowd defected, and the gigs got stigmatised as violent and unpleasant (an unfair generalisation which I subscribed to for a long time)

I hadn't listened to D&B for years until recently, apart from that crazy Latin stuff a couple of years ago, and the jump up style. I'm kicking myself for missing out on such a wide variety of great music!

Tech Itch, Evol Intent, Tim Exile... especially Tim Exile, All floating my boat big time!
