Drugs in the workplace (Merged)

I always take kratom at work, since I work with customers all day it help with dealing with stupid people haha. Also I always have my chillum, with a few hits of bud in it.

I bet 5% of the working population that uses drugs is oftentimes high on weed at work.

Only 5% ? It varies by the job, but I would say that about 30% of pot smokers are high at work, and probably 20% of people are pot smokers.

^that's like 12% of everyone in employment being stoned

personally think a bit of speed or something would increase my productivity 10 fold but I work around slow old people, with 2 or 3 who go out 3-4 times a year on E, in a work place with seemingly recent drug finds (tons of signs everywhere about the drug acts law, especially in staff toilets/changing rooms), in a waistcoat and long sleeved shirt (I sweat sober doing very little work due to the massive heat produced by kitchen/restaurant so using any stim is a huge uhoh) , work in a place where i spend a good 1-2h doing nothing due to lack of work until the next changeover and whenever I'm not sober I get so easily irritated by old or young people who don't quite match my (average) wittiness or intelligence.

Do you think it's more or less? It obviously depends on the field, with some fields particularly the food industry having just about everyone getting high, and then there are government jobs that drug test and/or have people that wouldn't even think of smoking weed anyway. Then of course there is everything in between.

One of my temp assignments was 5 minutes away from my dealer. I used to score oxies and then smash & snort at the Wal-Mart parking lot. Then I'd go back to work, happy as can be.

I am an intern at a pharmacy right now. Everything moves so fast, and there are so many different things going on all at the same time, and I'm trying to focus on counting out 180 hydrocodones without losing count. PLUS controlled substances have to be counted twice. PLUS people waiting for their pain pills want it 10 minutes ago.

There is no drug, sans maybe some stims, I could use and still work in the pharmacy effectively.

when i use opiates or amphetamines at work i become more powerful than the machine i operate

and usually end up working 2 hours over time

I work at the mall and we all use.... I smoke weed with my co workers even the guys in GNC smoke and sell weed. We smoked in the back of that store with security. We all were even talking about lean tonight and molly... lmao but hey my job doesn't drug test so it's all good.

One of my acquaintances was a successful entrepeneur and his work business was from his house. I know this is going to be very hard to believe, but I shit you not, everyone that set foot inside his business did some type of drug. It was crazy! :p

KMart was bad. But the restaurant business probably is the worst. Never ran into as many drug users as I did working in food service for some reason.

a lot lot less, although i'd say restaurant/fast food/the kind of work with high intake of teens is probably accurate. I imagine in the offices opiates are kings, or maybe amphetamines.

Actually thinking about how fiddly my fingers get when I'm on something, I don't think I'd bother with drugs at all. I can barely hold a coin for it's delicacy, how the hell would I cope with hundreds of wine glasses =D

Funny enough, at least in my case, it wasn't even teens or even young adults that were addicted to various substances. A lot of them were middle aged or even older folks who would constantly inquire as to whether or not I could get a plethora of prescription medications.

Drugs & Work

Just wondering if others can enjoy drugs and lead a perfectly normal life (in my eyes). So post your occupation and drugs of choice

Entrepreneur - Lumber Industry

Drugs of choice: Cannibis, MDMA, Alcohol, occasional Psychedelic

Jazz musician (well I'm actually still a student, but I get paid to play various gigs every so often so I'll go ahead and call it an occupation)

Drugs of Choice: Marijuana, Mushrooms, DMT, 2CP

i wish i were a jazz musician :)

i've held mostly sales type jobs or customer service and been benzod or opiated for the large majority of it. I usually function fine for a while then fuck everything up. I've yet to get a real job that pays well though. I used to just get really stoned and go to work, that was fine.

right now unemployed, drugs of choice, benzos, occasional cannabis. I'm going back to school soon though which sucks as i am dependent on etizolam ATM and will likely be until the end of this semester. Hopefully i keep my shit together this time. I once took an online university course while completely addicted to phenazepam, was so fucked up that i missed the final exam date. Eventually got to write it though and it went surprisingly well.
