Drugs in the workplace (Merged)

I'm a shift manager at a pizza parlor. Almost everyone does some sort of drug lol. I've shot up dope in the bathroom with one of my delivery drivers. Smoked weed out back with another one of my delivery drivers. It's actually a pretty awesome job. I think as long as you can pretend to be sober, it's fine.

Do you live in northern va by chance? Honestly tho, not to sound cocky but I'm a good ass salesman, you would never know, I do have trouble working on psycadellics

No im in maryland was just fucking with you though i didnt actuaoly think one of them was you lol. i think getting on a computer and writing on a forum may be way above their capabilitys lol

I work in southern Maryland as well, that's funny as shit, I do roofing and siding too. I'm out in Bethesda working as we speak.

I have a couple friends that are roofers that's supposed to be pretty hard work. The hardest job i ever had i worked for a construction place just carrying bricks and blocks to the masons allllll day. Yea that job lasted all of one day haha. Im real skinny and not built for that kinda shit

Used to go to work baked after just over 2 months IT support. Boss was a total dick, never smoked at work though.

working in the printing industry for 20 years..there was quite a bit of drug use going on... One print shop I worked at threatened to have drug testing... I thought to myself "there goes 85% of the shop!"...

Getting High at Work

So yeah I know this is a massive no-no if you're in a position where safety and responsibility is called to account. BUT imho some jobs allow, if not encourage it.

When I was first a college student I was doing barwork and managed to get a gig at this gay bar here in Australia (I obviously won't say the name). Basically I was originally completely naive as to the actual depth of drug use in such an establishment. I thought it was just a few patrons taking ecstacy, boy was I in for a surprise.

It really started after a couple of weeks I had been there, the manager called me into his office, and started going *off* at me. He accused me of taking speed during my shifts, but I genuinelly hadn't, I had been completely sober. I tried to explain that I only took drugs recreationally and wouldn't ever do them on a shift, he didn't want a bar of it and told me to get out.

I was really put-down by the experience because I was (for once) innocent. BUT after another couple of weeks being there and realizing *everyone* took speed on their shifts and were quite open about drug use, it suddenly dawned on me. The manager KNEW I hadn't taken drugs, but he was testing to see what my opinion of them was, because if I was to stay on, it's important not to have some anti-drug rat on the team. I realised it was a complete charade, lol.

So from then on I would do lines in the toilets during the shift, and my girlfriend would always hand me a pill over the bar. BUT then one night I rocked up and there was a large punch bowl behind the bar due to a private party. I asked a fellow bartender "hey whats in the punch" as I wanted to know incase a patron asked. He said flat-out: "vodka, juice, ecstacy, LSD." I laughed as I thought he was joking. BUT then the first customer I had was a woman who said: "hmmmm I'm not really feeling much like LSD tonight, I'll just have a vodka orange." It was then I realized this wasn't a joke, we were literall giving patrons acid.

To test this theory I decided to drink some of the punch myself (we were allowed to drink whatever we wanted on the job), and about 20 minutes later fractals were flying everywhere.

I sadly eventually had to quit as my speed use was too epic and weighed pretty much nothing.

So in conclusion, getting paid to get high is awesome. And the gay community is fucking nuts, but awesome :D

Anyone else partake in treats during work??

Ive gone to work as a dishwasher high on meth. and also just smoked a bowl after my shift with the guy taking over for me. everyone smokes bud hah

First job as a doing cart and driving range at a gold course:

Smoked weed on the daily, drank regularly, eventually got fired after eating 80mg oxy without a tolerance and leaving some garbage behind in carts. Not that big of a deal but they fired and rehired that position every few months. Pretty much the scapegoat for the rest of the course.

Marketing:

Filled in my own time cards and emailed them to my boss who only saw me in person to deliver more flyers... Needless to say I used that money to buy dope and nod off while not passing flyers out, eventually quit before I could get caught.

Restaurant:

I bussed tables. My managers drug policy was, and I quote, "first rule about drugs is you have to share with the managers!"

He'd be smoking weed in his car and I'd be taking a few hits of dope in my car and we'd make eye contact and he'd give me a thumbs up... I don't think he was fully aware of the situation lol but he did admit to 'trying' oxy. And he totally brought up the subject too, weird dude but great manager.

I did show up at work after dropping acid the night before, I was a little distracted but felt super groovy and generally enjoyed a chill shift.

Current internship:

Snorted a lil white dope before work on 2 separate occasions this summer, not a big deal.

Being high on good cannabis is a favorite activity for me... what a waste! I haven't ever worked high since I became an adult.

Work is work. I have to do and say and perform stuff without cotton mouth or a messed up train of thought.

Cannabis is way too good for work.

I used to work 12 hour night shifts in a factory, which as u can imagine was bloody boring.
I found that smoking some heroin before work and then some on my lunch break would help me get through the shift on autopilot and really helped the time fly.
Some jobs are so mind numbingly boring that the company should provide their workers with drugs.
