Yep, the JP Morgan guys I deal with are coke heads, the head system architect for a multinational telecoms firm is a 6 bag per day heroin addict and almost every PR person has a habit of some kind (can't blame them given that job). Only drugs you can work and build a career on are heroin and benzos (in my experience). But coke is rife among Westminster and all big advertising agencies. Legal drugs will get you sacked in a day!
 
Yeah i remember workin at this restaurant an id take a bun with me to work every day. Haha those were the good times. An i especially liked the night shifts where it was just me an one other person workin. Id get real fucked up an nod out in the back and smoke cigs till my lungs collapsed. Seriously id only have like 5 customers in a 10 hour shift so there aint nothin better to do.
 
High end restaurants used to be all coke, weed, or other stims in the kitchen. When cheap and plentiful opiates flooded the market everyone did those. I can't tell you how many times the chef and I were staring out of the window over the prep table, dope sick and pissed, hoping to see my pill dudes car magically appear in the parking lot. My dad was a chef and he told me many stories about capers around the kitchen.

I'm sober now. I worked as executive chef of a restaurant for about a year...I didn't allow drugs in the workplace. I ended up having a long talk with my trainee cook about smoking pot in the cooler and how at first the drug use makes you think you are awesome at first but just gets worse and worse until you end up losing your job and getting stuck working in pizza shops and chain restaurants.

Now I'm serving at a chain restaurant as a break from cooking. I think those that use will seek those that use so it seems like places are full of drugs...then again...this is the states.

Restaurant true nature edit: got offered meth today....and asked by a desperate server for benzos.....yep I guess I'm finally accepted as "on the team" now.

Having major second thoughts, hard drugs with your boss

I've partied with my boss once before and he just can't keep up. We are sort of friends, but he is way to young to have the power that he has at work and he definitely abuses it. Recently a new employee got hired who is pretty fuckin hard, as in right off the streets, wants every one to know it, and puts his shit on blast for some reason. My boss has a major man-crush on this new guy, don't think the boss is gay, don't care, I more think my boss wants to be this one dude.

Anyways, this guy has some serious connections and is no joke when it comes to what I will call handling business. We quickly became friends. He led me to believe he'd done crystal meth before and so I got him spun to the moon not realizing he was lying and it was actually his first time. Now he's kinda into it, but he's not over-doing it yet.

But here's what I'm worried about. First of all, he smoked the crystal in front of my boss. WTF is he thinking? And evidently my boss wasn't bothered because he wound up smoking crystal with the co-worker for his first time. I'm not sure at what point, but my name was brought up. I had asked my co-worker to never, under any circumstances let anyone else know about our extracurricular activities.

Tonight when my boss and I were clocking off he asked me if I had any weed, but I sensed something was off. I said for sure man, let's head out and we'll smoke some. He brought up the fact that he had smoked crystal with the other homie from work and that he loved it. He was basically fishing for it, and he already knew I had it. I smoked him out with it. Was that a mistake? At that point the damage was done, he knew I had the access and the history, to deny it would have looked even worse in my opinion, or so I thought at the time. I figured he already knows, best to get out on top of this, cop to it, and show how I can handle the stuff.

I'm fucking pissed because trust was breached. But at the same time I'm wondering if I have some extra job security. Or less. I'm so conflicted. Opinions, please!
 
Well... He did it with you... I understand the delima. It seems you both have each other vulnerable. I wouldn't sweat it too much.
 
The main issue that I neglected to state was that I used some smack in front of the co-worker who gave my boss his first taste of crystal and told him I was the one to go to. I already told him I won't ever hook it up for him. But I wonder if he knows about my heroin consumption now...
 
I don't know, man. That's kind of a double-edged sword now, you know? I mean yeah, it's dope that you can get faded with your boss...

...But that shit could turn around and blow up in your face. I mean, do your thing, just be careful. Cause whether the drugs are consumed on/off the clock, he could always be a dick about it and have you take a UA, for whatever reason, you know? But I'm purely speculating cause I have no idea what your profession is.

Anyways, yeah man, I'd just keep an eye out. Extracurricular activities off the clock with the boss-man, could come back around and punch you in the dick when it comes time to clock in.
 
You're in pretty deep, wouldn't be a bad idea to collect some [non-self-incriminating] evidence to give you leverage in case the situation flips on you

Your boss has you by the balls, so, why not do the same?

Personally, I'd befriend the shit out of your boss & milk it for all its worth.

I'm not suggesting blackmail, I'm merely suggesting having the same ball grasp that his boss now has on him.
At any time whatsoever his boss can fuck him over. Why not have some leverage if the situation ever occurs?
but.. hey.. I'm not knockin' the blackmail idea.. LOL.
 
Nah, I'm pretty cool with my boss. The only thing is he can be a huge fucking dick sometimes. Sometimes directed at everybody, sometimes just directed at one specific person over and over again (usually for no reason) until it's awkward for every one around. But I did miss a day of work due to having stomach issues and I didn't even call in until 2 hours after I should have arrived (to be fair I was genuinely sick) and my boss just let it slid when he could have given me a warning. He's a tough nut to crack. I just hope he knows how to keep his mouth shut. That's my main concern. And that goes double for the co-worker who told him.

Does anybody else here have experience doing "hard" drugs with co-workers and superiors at work? And if so how did things work out?
 
Back when I was working at the plant, I had a co-worker approach me and ask if I could find him some bud.. I told him yeah & I'd get him some..
Well, that never happend since all my money went to dope & I didn't feel like being a middle man for him.
Anyways, we were working 3rd shift one night and I asked him if he ever did coke, he said "Yeah, but only when I was at a party" so, I told him I had some diesel & asked if he wanted to try it..
Sure enough, he said yeah. So, I break his foreign ass out a line & give him a straw to snort it with. Hahaha. Bad idea.
I thought I cut him out a nice small beginner line. Nope. That motherfucker was puking his guts up within the next 15 minutes. Potent dope, man.

Anyways, I tell him to get the fuck out of here & go relax.. so he heads off in his car out in the parking lot & nods out while I covered for him.
Thing is, my co-worker was a cool dude. Somebody I could trust. He was foreign & had a wicked cool accent. lol. So I immediately liked the guy.
Never had a problem with him. He's not the type to go around telling people that I gave him dope & that he nodded out in his car for the whole work day.

I quit working there around 8 months later & I still see the guy every now & then, but he never brings up what happend at work that day.

Oh, yeah.. part of our job required that we use a forklift.. and, man.. thinking back now.. it was sooooo stupid to have given him that line.
However, it was also funny as hell watching him on the lift, trying to drive it while nodding out & bumping into random shit (No people were around only him & I)

Oh - That reminds me..
My old boss used to be a big pot head. I remember when I first started working for him, he asked if I smoked and I told him Nah man... thinking he was anal about druggies & shit.
Then he tells me "Man, you NEED to smoke. Shit is too stressful around here" even after he said that I still denied it. Idk, when it comes to Mr. Boss man, I don't disclose any personal information.
A few months later the guy got fired for smoking bud out in the parking lot with his girlfriend. Idiot.

^ Damn that's some crazy shit. I don't understand how people decide to just randomly snort Heroin (not that it's anything other than fucking awesome). Just out of the blue like that always seems so odd to me. That's cool though. I've used every drug I've ever used before with a co-worker at some point.... just never my actual general manager before.
 
Haha, yeah.. I was quite surprised when he said yeah I'll have some..
I mean, It's not like he could get hooked on it.. He'd have to go through me to get any dope.. and it was only one time. So I can see why he took up the opportunity.
If somebody offered me a drug that I never did before, I'd probably accept without any hesitations..

I have experience with doing hard drugs with co-workers and I still do hard drugs with this co-worker even though we both don't work at that job anymore (I quit before her and later she got told to leave because of some other shit). Anyways, we both found out we smoked weed and then one day went over to her house.... we both found out we did pills and then found out we both did heroin as well. Her husband (now ex) was also a fucking heroin dealer!! So omg shit was crazy after that. She would bring me in free pills and leave it in the top drawer for me.... I also remember the days we worked together and she was watching over me and I was taking the oxycontin that she also gave me for fucking free. We were right in the middle of the mall. However, it was getting out of hand and I really did not want to lose my job. She would even snort dope right there. There were no cameras on us ever, but I don't know... I didn't like how this all turned out.

I also did not like doing this or getting involved in drugs with a co-worker because I felt like she had leverage on me now. We both wanted the assistant manager job... and I just always thought what if she rats me out? What if shit goes wrong and I need to speak up? I just didn't want to lose my job... and she was taking it to another level. Well, I ended up keeping my mouth shut and nobody found out. I still hangout with her even though she is in her 30's and I'm only 20.
