Human Interest DPMC VIDEOS Thread

Uh, that interviewer was a moron. I had my face in my palm pretty much every time he asked a question.

Bipolar Ukraine Wife selection

I watched the above video and it made me think of a lot of times i've been so ridiculously high that i've said or believed equally as manic things.

It made me wonder if you could take chemicals all the time in secret and just use the term of being bipolar as a guise that you are clean.

I haven't tripped in a while though just struck me as an interesting thought, maybe good way for someone to live a life of being high without all the stigma.

Anyway tis a good watch, check it out! it will make you laugh, cringe and also enjoy the nice ukraine girls.

Video of Erowid on CBS Evening News.

This is an older video, so I wasn't sure where to put it. It's a fluff piece, bashing drug sites. The kid on there was basically blaming his overdose on Erowid. All while hiding behind a blurry face. They completely ignore the countless others who have benefited from sites like Erowid and Bluelight to inteview one idiot.

Erowid bad! Lack of knowledge good!

The doctor that bashes erowid then goes on to admit that he uses it himself for reference and every doctor and LEO he knows also does. Talk about being hypocritical!

At least they made the effort to get the other side of the story, and presented it. I've seen worse :\

This is so stupid. I would love to see a ratio of how many lives erowid has saved compared to how many it has hurt because I am 100% sure that erowid would have prevented so many deaths. I hate the news sometimes

I would be dead without erowid, it's helped me figure out how to safely use drugs. I would still have used drugs without it, I just would've ODed on them in all likelyness.

hey HNIF, thanks for sharin but this dont belong in DC. Ima move it to DITM, in DC alot of ppl make the mistake of postin media or articles about other drug sites which aint our deal in DC , so folks just remember--erowid is related to DC, but this aint erowid. this is bluelight, and just becuz somethin is happenin with erowid or another drug site in the news dont mean it goes in DC--thats why we got drugs in the media, so remember that lil 'rule of thumb' for when u post ish like this, that it should go in DITM. :)

Yeah there is a Massive video thread this can be moved into here (DitM)

knowledge is power

The newscasters a dick but at least the dr. said CHILDREN shouldn't look at it, no problem there.

I think the dip shit kid may have mixed a hallucinogen with an maoi, just a guess though

They dont even mention the drug that he took and "nearly died" from. This is just sensationalized journalism. If Erowid or other HR sites werent available people would just be dosing based on hearsay or estimation.

You can read about suicide methods in any encyclopedia but I wonder how many people who attempt suicide blame the encyclopedias.

What a piece of garbage.

I am writing to CBS right now to protest their depiction of erowid, and of Rick Doblin as a man who runs "an ecstasy website"--what does that even mean? :X

Dude is head of MAPS, a non-profit which currently is sponsoring several federally-funded clinical trials of psychedelic and empathogenic substances as medicines for psychiatric disorders.

Shame on CBS for this.

Wow. Do some research CBS. Erowid helps people. The kid who OD'd shouldn't try to pass the blame. Do his parents really think a website made him do it?
