Doing Drugs At School?

^the idea is for you to have a good exposure to everything. You pick what you like after high school and study only that in college. Although they give you more "cornerstone" classes in college the first two years, it's still better than general ed in high school. You are learning some things in high school that you won't need in your future life just to let you know what there is. You get to pick your favorite and even go so far as to get your PhD in your favorite if you are so inclined.

The idea to let people know what there is is wrong if they are supposed to pick up the profile of the class in high school, e.g. biology-chemistry, mathematics-physics, English-German, w/e, there are many possibilities. You get more one more hour per weak of the chosen classes and you're taught more but that's all. You still have to learn other subjects and I wouldn't call those basics.

Now, university is university here. Some are "universities of technology" (politechnika) but that's a misname so it's in inverted commas. I study at university, one of the best chemistry department in the country, yet my university cannot give me any degree after 3 years but "bachelor" (yet, you probably can find quite a good job with bachelor degree on the west, here it doesn't mean anything). I could go to some "university of technology" and study chemistry there (I would just have a few more technical classes, anyway, I've got similar things here too, it's just a matter if your university can give you "bachelor" or "engineer", and the latter is probably even better than studying 5 years to get "Master of Science" at university that can't give you "Engineer" after 3 years).

Yeah, I know this can be all hard to understand... Let's say you study at "uniwersytet". After three years you get "licencjat" (literally "bachelor" but much less respected). You become lic. X (but nobody writes this degree before surname, 3 years of studying is still worth nothing) After 2 more years you get "magister" (Master of Science/Arts), then you can put that "mgr" before your name.

But if you study at "politechnika", you get "inżynier" after 3 years (+ half a year give or take) and yes, people do write "inż." before their names, it means something. Then if you get "magister", you've got "mgr inż.". Cool, right? If you want to stay, you can get your "doctor" degree, then you're "dr blabla" at university and "dr inż." at politechnika. All the time that fucking "inż.".

Now you could ask me "if it's so important, why didn't you go to politechnika?". Because politechnika in my city doesn't have chemistry, that's one thing and the other thing it's not really respected in the country contrary to the chemistry department at one of a few universities in my city. And I'm sorry that I have no money to study elsewhere. I will still be nothing after 3 years (well, less now...) but that's how life is.

Oh, and to get "dr", you have to start 4-year studies with no allowance (concerning buses etc.) or the other was is to start doctoral studies that may last and last (I do see such people who finished that 3+2-year trial and aspirate to be doctors, they always teach people on lower years and they always have no idea how to teach...).

That 3 years ("licencjat" or "engineer") + 2 years ("magister" or "magister inżynier") system is the result of Polish being in the EU. Most "Medical Academies" also had to change their names to "Medical Universities" because in the EU "Academy" means something else. Screw that! Also, before the EU we had 5-year studies only, no such a thing like 3+2 existed (see Ukraine). And never final exams at high school were the thing counted by universities, you had to take a test at university at entrance. That was better as those final exams at high schools changed drastically over the course of past years ("New Matura"). A lot of "idiots" start studies but they're kicked out fast or they resign themselves.

The similar thing the EU did to our lower education system. Last time we had middle-high schools ("gimnazjum") was between WWI and WWII but it was different. Now elementary school is 6 years, middle-high school is 3 years (of boredom and you actually learn nothing there), and high school is only 3 years (too less, educational programs weren't ready when they changed 8 years of elementary school + 4 years of high school / 5 years of technikum / 3 years of vocational school). Some may think it's better now in Poland because the era of communism ended. To be honest, there was never communism in Poland, it was socialism, 2 different things. There's no perfect political system, now we have capitalism and social stratification was never visible like it is now.

To recap, getting a job where you will be paid as you should is not a matter of what school you finished. Contacts do help a lot. Any country getting from socialism to capitalism needs a social liberalism/social democracy party. And do we have here? I don't really know. They're all the same.

BTW, I really doubt that most people in North America would know Poland is if our government wouldn't have sent our soldiers to Afghanistan and Iraq... Well, a lot still don't know, right? "Somewhere near Russia" probably...

I guess that's why they call it 'high' school.

Yeah I totally went there.

It is easy enough to look up Poland. I'm old enough to remember jokes told about "Pollacks" to use the vernacular.

I guess you have probably applied for grants from other countries and researched scholarships. I know going to school is super expensive but maybe you could still find a way.

Just thinking out loud...

I've finished school some time ago. I study now... This disease coming from the EU doesn't concern only bad education programs in Poland but a variety of other things (look what happened to Greece and Ireland; and Ireland did so well...)

And yes... How could Americans not know anything about Poles who emigrated like hell to the US during the time of PRL...

Americans do know. I am American and I know. It is a choice to be informed, or not informed. Some Americans choose not to be informed.

There's no excuse for it anymore. It's not like we have to drop out of school in 5th grade to work in the fields because our dads got killed. We all have access to information and some people are very knowledgeable about an number of topics, but true, probably Poland wouldn't be in the top ten topics.

I am sure it has never been a category on Jeopardy. That would explain a LOT because it seems like almost all Americans watch Jeopardy. I hate it for some reason.

I've done quite a few drugs in high school. Not as many in college.

Uh, well, let's see.

I've given class presentations while tripping on LSD. In JAPANESE. Not recommended. 8o

Brought homemade Cannabutter to add to my school lunches. For that healthy addition to whatever dish rag they were serving that day...

I always had a bottle of Vodka/Gatorade/Red Bull on hand.

Snorted countless lines of cocaine in the girl's bathroom. Nearly got caught because these fucking nosy bitches were wondering why I was taking so long. Who the fuck monitors how long someone you don't even know is in the bathroom anyway? Luckily the security guards they hired at my school were dumb pygmies and I didn't get in any trouble.

Took a bunch of benzos in very inappropriate situations, such as the drug counselor's office during my weekly appointment.

Percocet during my College Algebra classes...

And I am probably forgetting shit. But that's the point, isn't it?

I really doubt that most people in North America would know Poland is if our government wouldn't have sent our soldiers to Afghanistan and Iraq... Well, a lot still don't know, right? "Somewhere near Russia" probably...

I would argue that Poland is one of the most known eastern European country to North Americans, and I had no idea that Poland sent soldiers to Iraq. My boyfriend lives in a Polish neighborhood in Queens. There are tons of polish jokes, although most of those have been replaced by jokes regarding mexicans (or whoever the current immigrants are).

-What drug you used:
Turned up at college on a few occasions buzzing like mad on mephedrone, methylone, mdai, mdmai and White Columbia legal powder (not exactly sure what it is :p)

-Why you used it
Out sessioning the night before, decided when I got home there was no way in hell I was gonna get a comedown before I'd emptied the bag, so I stayed up all night and got the bus to college with a completely lost expression pinned on my face for each whole day.

-Did you get caught
Nah, never been caught. Nearly did when i took a gram of White colombian and snorted a sparkle e (I think it was 500mg mdai). Got to college, hit the comedown, went to "pee", snorted the rest, came out of my cubicle after making obvious sniffing noises and this girl on my course was standing by the sinks upset because her dog died the day before. I didn't want anyone in my class knowing I take drugs, so I just told her I had a cold (the most believable excuse)
We went for a fag outside, turns out the majority of my class take drugs regularly too :p
Later on at lunch, I came down hard and had my face on the desk for 2 hours, drifting in and out of sleep. My tutor kept asking me questions, obviously concerned. I lied and said I think I ate something funny. She didn't even ask me to do work, just let me fall asleep on my table!

The methylone was a completely different story, I took it the night before I had to get minor surgery (tooth exposure). I was bombing it all night because I find it works much better than snorting for lone. I had around a gram or more maybe. I'm not sure what the hell was wrong with it, but I took a last small bomb at about 6am, expecting to sober up before my operation, which was at 2pm. I didn't :| I was genuinely f'd for the entire operation and wasn't quite all there for 2 days after that, when I was at college. I couldn't speak to anybody, (it was actually physically impossible) or take in what anyone was saying properly and had a constant blank look on my face, also physically unable to show any emotion at all LOL.
college was real hard to cope with for those days.

freshman year of high school i used to take mini-thins (pure ephedra)

sophomre year i continued to take mini-thins and added valium to the mix a few times

junior year i was complete sober all the time

senior year it was weed a few times, drunk a few times, valium, mini thins.

college it was loratabs and oxy

1: I got stoned a lot before school, did a fair amount of painkillers (suboxone if not) during school and brought in heroin a few times towards the end.

2: I started out smoking weed just because it made things move faster/ that's just what people did at my school, plus I was searching for that high that really fit me. I started doing painkillers occasionally because they felt fucking absolutely amazing at that time and I was pretty nervous and reserved for a lot of my schooling, and PKs and suboxone made me confident and happy (so much so that I would flirt with girls and get em to like me while I was on a run, then they would lose interest as soon as I ran out and became a nervous wreck that could barely talk to anyone again...thank god therapy and meds have alleviated a lot of that) and of course I started up with heroin because I realized it was like painkillers only it was cheap back then...if only it still was.

3: nope, never got caught, basically never got in trouble of any sort at all during school (never even got so much as a detention or sent out of class). A whole lot of people knew about me and my relationship with drugs, including a few teacher who knew because people would do shit like call me " Devon smokesalotti" (cause smokesalotti sounds a lot like my last name), but no one ever gave me trouble because I was generally liked by everyone and didn't have any enemies (other than the one teacher out of my whole high school career who really hated me for some reason).

i think school was actually where a good portion of my drug use took place, for a multitude of reasons.... i didnt like my teachers, my classes were boring, they were all around and i always had them, and it didnt occur to me at the time what i was actually doing. these days, i pretty much only will smoke before school (unless i have a big test), as i think it sometimes helps me focus and solve problems in ways i wouldnt normally.

but from the end of 9th to the beginning of 12th, i was pretty much intoxicated everyday, mostly on coke, heroin, or benzos/painpills. it was much harder to go to school stoned or tripping for me, since it was harder to hide. but with the coke, dope, and pills, it became very easy to slip into a secluded bathroom between classes and blow lines without anyone knowing.
ive never gotten caught at school, somehow, and i've pushed it pretty far...11th grade year, while my teacher had left the room, i cut out a speedball on his laptop and blew it before he got back. also, we would sit in the back of the (same) class and cut out lines on the pull out trays under the desk, and periodically duck down time to time to get a little pick-me-up...what the hell was i thinking!
now a days, though i still use heroin and coke, i would never dream of bringing it to school...partially because i keep my use mostly secret, and partially cause now, i care about my grades....a lil too late though...

freshman yr me and a gf did somas for a couple weeks during school
we felt drunk and high at the same time it was incredible
senior yr me and another friend did speed a few times it wouldve been fun if we weren't paranoid about being on speed at school lol
dumbest thing was eating shrooms and smoking weed and going to school ... got to first period and started seeing crazy shit got up from the class texted my friend to meet me in the bathroom we walked out of school I waved bye to the security guard and ended up having a great night with a bunch of friends making fun of myself for doing something so dumb haha

Throughout Highschool we used to bring in water bottles full of vodka almost everyday and we had free periods were we could leave school and come bak so obviously we all blazed. We did it because it was fun and something to do as skool was boring and not hard at all. We never got caught and if any security said anything we just would tell em to fuck off then run away laughing haaaaaaaaaaaaa the good old days.

When it got to be senior year i was goin to school pretty damn stoned everyday. Occasionally had a dexedrine or a klonopin. I remember a few times i swigged some rum in high school. Once i even ate a nug of weed in the bathroom (stupid, i know, but hey i was much younger). Never got caught, did get questioned once, but i didnt sell or anything so i was in the clear.

smoked alotta herb before and even during school...last year of middle to highschool.
did acid one or 2 times at school that was wild...mostly just got high...i did have a water bottle with vodka one time i was wasted wow never got caught tho

im at my community college right now, 21.
smoked a bowle in the parking lot, and ive been drinking a cherry limeade and vodka the whole time. needles to say, i cannot feel my legs lol. abnyways, school high is awesome its way mre enjoyable. but i wouldnt reccomend it for younger people.

I used to do opiated and smoke bud before class when I was in college for my undergrad all the time. It was no big deal. Every now and then I would get a comment or two on how I looked tired. I just went with it. I found that I didn't mind being in class then and I could actually pay attention and take notes. At that point if I went to class sober I would be antsy the whole time just thinking about how boring everything is and that I want to get high. I know that's bad, but that's the truth of where I was, and honestly where I'm at.

I found this kind of made me a little antisocial though, which I didn't really like, but I'm more of the type of person who has a few really good friends instead of a bunch of aquantences anyways, so I guess doing drugs before class didnt change my social life much.

I tried drinking before class a couple time. It makes time go by faster, you're more willing to speak out to others or answer questions you know, but I found I'd have to get up 2 or 3 times an hour to pee because of the diuretic effect of alcohol. Maybe thats just me, but I'm just saying. Its fine at a bar, but looks a little weird in class. I'd rather be stoned in the back taking notes then drunk by far.

Plus, when i'm drinking I'm not trying to spend an hour just sitting quietly in a lecture hall, or even a classroom. I wanna be continually drinking, eating, hooking up, or passing out. When I'm on opiates and chillin with Mary Jane I can just sit back for an hour or so and just be ya know, contemplating life or who knows, paying attention and actually learning something. That way you have fun and get something accomplished. Win Win. Peace

I tried going to high school a few times and eating a bunch of Robo Gel Caps, never messed with CCC. Why even risk it. If there's one with only DXM and one that's DXM + CPM, Id choose DXM only 100 percent of the time, but I guess sometimes other options arent available. I've been there, but if I was going to school I didnt want any CPM, no emergency room for me.

The few times I was dumb enough to do this stunt I didn't have the experience with DXM that I do now and was pretty overwhelmed. Nothing crazy occured, but wasn't fun. Don't know why I did it more than once, but I guess that's just what makes me me!

-If you're not wasted the day is.

Community College: Just got high and went to class or drank before class.

4-Year: I'll take some tabs or xanax before class. If i'm not on pills or sober i'll drink before class. I've done coke a few times before tests and....failed haha.
