Showed up drunk to high school a few times... but the thread doesn't mentioned being limited to high school, so the following is living on campus at a major university:
-Starting sophomore year, used lots of coke and progressively more IV opiates; the latter just in my room but the former all over campus. And of course methylphenidate and adderall/dexedrine during exam times.
-Used drugs because it was the only way I could interact normally with other people.
-Never got caught by anyone in a position of authority, but my roommate had a habit of always showing up right in the middle of me shooting up, and always got really pissed and complained stuff in my drawers and lockbox somehow infringed on his rights, so I had to keep hiding my use from him. He was trying to catch me too; nobody unlocks a door that fast who's not trying to see what's going on before it gets hidden. Got caught doing coke in the bathrooms from time to time, usually by people doing the same thing who realized what the sniffing sound in the nearby stall was. And I'm sure this one professor knew what was up when I tried heroin for the first time right before class resulting in fighting off a hardcore nod basically making it look like I spent 75 minutes nodding yes with my eyes nearly closed.
Fun times. I don't regret any of it, since it let me make good friends (who incidentally never even tried drugs and didn't realize I did until I told them after a year and a half) without having a negative impact on my academic performance.
