Does dubstep and MDMA go hand in hand?

Of all the electronic genres (house, progressive, techno, trance, dnb, dubstep) dubstep is my least fave.

Gotta agree with starlett. I love all electronic music, but dubstep has gotta be scrapping the bottom of my favorites list alongside gabber. STILL, I enjoy dubstep more than I would music from other non-electronic genres.

My favorite genres for MDMA would be hardstyle and drum and bass. First song I ever heard rolling was My 303 by Showtek. Peaked right as the kick started, will never forget that moment. Had to pull my sleeves of my sweatshirt across my face to keep myself from busting out laughing with happiness (well, and of course because sweatshirt felt good on my face) :D

I was a massive techno and house enthusiast. One night whilst off my face in a house club we decided to go see if we could find anywhere else interestjng to dance. By pure chance we ended up in a dubstep night and had an awesome time. I remember the feeling of that bass!!! I still cant listen to dubstep sobre but i have a load of mandy for this weekend and were going straight to the dnb and dhbstep night :) for me its not so much the melodies that go so well with mdma, its the bass which in a good club has an almost physical presence - just seems to heighten the ecstasy experience

I personally think that 'any' music you enjoy will sound / feel great on MDMA. I have friends that enjoy classical music / rock / goth etc and they think its great when high. I can't stand slow music or stuff without a driving bass line when 'rolling' and love the harder music like hard style, trance, psy, house etc.

OP, I think it's safe to say drugs definitely influence the direction music being created goes in. With that being said, I have a slight wonder if the rise of Ketamine helped influence the creation and popularity of Dubstep in the UK during the late 90's/early 00's.

But to answer your original question, yes mdma will help you appreciate music more, including dubstep which for the most part honestly sounds like shit nowadays.

Naa na, Dubstep is cool with weed and alcohol but with Md it's gotta be progressive and deep house, those off beat hihats and repetitive rhythms embalm me in love . bandages. I'm speaking as somebody who has fucking Pavarotti in the same CDrack as Meshuggah. Love all music except this meaningless and generic r&b pop shit.

I would say that MDMA enhances any music experience, but dubstep and "techno" are popular because of the overall electronic performance style (light shows, etc.). I personally enjoy listening to the Beatles.

Depends on what kind of dubstep you mean. I personally enjoy the more darker melodic dubstep such as Biome, Thelem, Distance etc I think smoking a fat spliff go hand in hand with this type of dubstep - such as this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9C0oxWJ-nI Also IMO I Think the production is wayyy better than the more balls to the wall stuff made for MDMA.

At raves though if I'm on MDMA I think the more 'ravey' stuff like Eddie K, Genetix etc works better to get everyone going nuts who are rolling - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tmocXNwtPKk

But at the end of the day anything (with a few exceptions lol) is gonna sound sick on mandy.

I would agree with others. If you enjoy the music it has the potential to make it that much better. I've only listened to electronic music while on mdma/mda so I wouldn't know about other genres. I have listened to other types of music on other drugs and enjoyed it so I think mdXX would be ok with them. On a side note, someone on page one said somehimg about excision, I'm fucking stoked for the Halloween rave, excision and datsik, shit's going down, going to roll with a girl I like that hasn't rolled in years. We gonna get fucked up!. Sorry to derail, my brain is like a bag of cats sometimes :)

since we are only talking about edm, then i would suggest giving this a try for drug of choice on a night out:
Mandy moonrocks are better suited for trance (prog and vocal), house (deep house)
Mephedrone and Blow would be better for those top 40 electro pop they play at shitty but popular clubs
Mephedrone also goes very well with repetitive shit too, but harder and grungier, like hard house , techno, hardstyle

back on to topic, to really vibe with those obnoxious loud sounds of dubstep, that would certainly make someone unfamiliar with the genre cringe and wear ear plugs, you need the proper substances. or a combo.

My favorite two combos for dubstep shows would be, AMP/Adderall + ketamine, or MXE + a couple of beers or low alcohol content beverages.
I have ought to try the AMP + MXE combo, and im eager to try it out. Probably tonight lol.

And I've also heard that K on the tail end of the plateau of a M roll is supposedly a great buzz too. Maybe be a good combo to be utilized at a 12+ hr festivals , when towards end of the night and just before dawn they usually have the heavy bass dj's spin around that time. So you will be having a mix of best of both worlds, where in the beginning you'd be munted as fuck , just jamming out, but then towards the end you still want to party but don't really know how to jam out to dubstep (which obviously lacks any sort of melody) and don't feel like redosing mandy, then that would be the time to rail some delicious good special k. u wouldn't mind frailing your arms about and headbanging like the rest of those silly bassheads.

All music is gonna be fucking sick.

Although IMO any electronic music will sound better than just any other music, no matter who you are. Its like hardwired into your skull at that point.

It's whatever you like; I think dubstep goes very well with weed, psychedelics like lsd. Although, electro house i think goes better with things like speed, but it all goes awesome with anything:)

Dubstep and MDMA go hand in hand.... a few hours into rolling when it starts getting trippier.... It all makes sense literally feel every wave from the dubstep

My personal experience is that whatever genre of music I like, on MDMA I utterly love it.

Genre's of music that I'd previously not really given a crap about, I like, and a couple of days later I find myself dabbling a bit more in that genre on spotify.

Bumping this thread. I was at a big dubstep/house warehouse party last night and dubstep is SOOOO MUCH FUN when you're rolling, oh man. Some of the sounds are just incredible, and dancing to it is ridiculously enjoyable. Literally do whatever the fuck you want. Amazing.

All electronic music is good on E, that is why it is created to activate the trance while on psychedelics.
