Do you or anyone you know seem heavily addicted to Marijuana?

You're here trying to basically say your weed addiction has cost you several arrests, rejection of jobs, marijuana addiction is so horrible blah.

Shaddap! stop talking so much crap.
I've known plenty of heroin users with much less problems than I have had with cannabis alone. You call it crap; I call it reality. Your drug snobbery is not accepted nor tolerated here.

I have already been addicted to a handful of opiates, and including my psychotic episode I got on one of them, it still isn't half as bad as what my addiction to cannabis has done to me in my past. I am more than familiar with the dangers of addiction. That's what this thread is about after all.

You say my stories are questionable? I don't see a question. All I see are assumptions and complaints coming from your end.

Do you feel better about yourself by belittling my problems? I'd hate to think how you approach your own.

If you're going to talk directly back and forth, get all personal and get off topic then please take it to PM's. No need to take over the thread with off-topic and personal discussion.

^Then dont ever touch opiates it will be the end of you son. If weed is that troublesome for you damn. Oh thats right i remember opiates give you psychosis dont they! You and your stories are questionable.

Once again, PLEASE STAY ON TOPIC OR THIS IS GOING TO BE CLOSED. This is NOT about how addictive opiates are, if it was in would be in OD, and if it was about addiction to drugs in general it would be in DC. It is in CD, so please 8L4YN3, stop attacking wolfgang for giving his opinion. This is the last general-thread warning, after this, people will get warnings for stuff like is posted above.

No, this is done. Take it to PMs and both of you, lay off. Its the internet, take a chill pill, it's not going to pop out yo screen and punch you.

OP - If you would like to re-address the subject, feel free to. Unfortunately it has been derailed and taken to a personal level that violates not only the BLUA but the general attitude we like to have here at CD. I was hoping this thread could remain open but it's simply been taken to far off topic.

[MEGA] Cannabis Quitting/Tolerance Break

A new thread on this topic is well overdue.
- You got a drug test soon?
- Weed just isnt getting you high anymore?
- You're broke?
- You feel too much side effects
- You're just sick and tired of it
- You just need a break

Those are but a few examples of good reasons to quit cannabis. However, it's not as easy as it seem. Some people will claim that they can quit when they want but when they actually do quit they find its very hard.

So please share with us, tell us why you want to quit, for how many days you've been clean and how you feel. Then update us regularly!

Here is a place for you to discuss your experiences -

- Best ways to take your mind off weed when stopping.
- Methods to flush out/refresh your system (eg. exercise, plenty of fruit, etc.)
- Effects you get when stopping (dreams, laziness, etc.)
- So on & so forth.

What a rather fortuitous thread Seyer as I have had to take a forced break due to being dry. I knew I had to take a break soon anyway as I was smoking a lot more than is healthy for the mind & I have never got a handle on how people can have a smoke & then just wait until they are sober before getting high again. My method is to smoke bowls every 15-45 minutes until I fall asleep/pass out.

My last smoke was on Saturday afternoon & whilst I have not been craving getting stoned I have been craving tobacco like crazy (5 weeks off a pack a day habit for 20 odd years). Since I "mull up" my bud it makes it somewhat crack like if that makes sense. When I was younger I would lose my shit if I ran out of weed but now I accept it & understand there will be a week or so of discomfort at worst.

My typical symptoms include

Irritability
Nausea
Morning vomiting
Eating issues
Trouble getting to sleep

Really the standard type "withdrawals" from cannabis. Not smoking motivates me far more as I can be apathetic at best when I have bud on hand. Quitting cannabis will not kill you or anything like that so it is 95% mental. Really it is some mild discomfort & the biggest hurdle is mental as it is too easy to have a bowl or two.

Life can be rather unmanageable if I am smoking a lot of cannabis since I can't stop once I start but have no problem working a 10 hour day without it yet my evening routine is really simple. Clean the bong. Smoke a bowl or two. Take a shit. Smoke a bowl to celebrate the basic joy of a turd well laid. Forget to eat dinner. Smoke more bowls & hopefully make it into bed at some stage. Life was different when I was living with a woman who would not let me smoke during the week & only on Friday nights & Sundays. Controlling? Sure but ultimately much healthier for me. Since I left her I don't have anyone to tell me to ease up & my family is in another state so there is zero accountability.

Sorry this is a bit jumbled & random but to anyone struggling with cannabis you can give it up it just takes willpower & the desire (deep down) to do so.

weed tolerance and being around a smoker

I smoke way too much and now that i smoke 2 to 3 grams a day i dont get high anymore... I want to take a tolerance break, but everyone i know smokes.. Will me being in the room while they blaze completely throw my tolerance break out the drain?

You smoke so much weed you honestly think you can walk out a room and patiently wait and not smoke? If your friends are like you and smoke as much as you, you might as well stay home. Which might not be a bad idea. You're going to need a shit ton of willpower otherwise.

I think being around people who smoke will make it better then going cold turkey. You know you don't get high when you smoke anymore so why waste their weed by smoking.

if you are addicted to weed like me then take this advice V

God help you guys if you ever tried anything that is actually physically addictive, 1 weeks worth of meh sleep is what you get and thats about it. insomnia over and its barely insomnia mostly vivid dreams

Considering I have been physically dependant on opiates, benzos & alcohol I am reasonably versed in physical addiction. As I previously said I mix & have mixed cannabis with tobacco for 20+ years & when consumed that way is highly addictive. Making assumptions that "God help you guys if you ever tried anything that is actually physically addictive" without knowing my experiences with a lifetime devoted to addiction smacks of ignorance.
