Do you even get high?

This is easy. You can take an extended period of time off drugs and your tolerance may reset to around zero, but upon using again, your tolerance will quickly level out to where you were when you left. The only way around this is very occasional use

Well , lets see lets take my pm therapy for instance ... after a year im still on 80mg extended release a day . with roughly 30 or so of immediate release throughout my day on a bad day ..

after all this time , i can still feel 2 5/325 percocet , and not just the pain killing side effects . that actual warm , drowsy blanket feeling .. while its still faint to some extent its still there .. and if someone such as me is able to take all this shit over all this time and still feel those 2 small pills .. anyone can do it .. how you decide to do that is up to you .. with me it came with staying on the same dose and becoming accustomed to just that dose ..yes there was a point a few months ago that i was ready to go to 40mg 3x a day with BT but i decided not to .

its those little decisions that will also help you . have a nice day.

LOL I was waiting for your post. Listen to LT, he know what he's talking about

FUCK NO
FUCK NO
No "REAL Junkie" gets high
youll know that in 5 or ten years when you havent been high in 8 years yet you take 2 grams of IV heroin a day just to keep the chills away

I can get high off 2 pounds of poppy seeds. its a good high, its about perfect
I can get HIGH off 200 mg methadone that to me is heaven I like it WAY better than heroin
I can get high off maybe 6-10 oxy 80s but its not much of a high no nod
I can get high off 150-200 mg norco but I dont nod I just feel really good
I can get trashed off a half gram shot of Good tar
I can get a cool buzz off 400 mg codeine
I can get obliterated off 3 IVS of Fent in a row
I can get a NEAT buzz off 4 mg suboxone. feels more like a coke/psyh/opie mix that like dope though........ off 16 mg I can get a HIGH that is WAY better than multiple OC 80s

But honestly, at times in my addiction NONE of these would have given me ANY buzz just releif. I consider my tolerance to have dropped significantly

good point!!!!
however, Dissociatives actualy DO work at preventing (not reversing) tolerance.
id recomend either ket or dxm but not so much natty sherm unless you wanna fuckin FRYYY nuts!!!! haha.

^ Yep, they won't bring your tolerance back down; they will just prevent it from developing as quickly.

I don't know what it's like in the US, but over here ketamine is expensive so I'd just use DXM.

After wearing 25ug/hr durogesic patch and moving to 50 ug/hr patch, I couldn't feel anything eventually (although I was high for 2 weeks after each increase in dosage). My second time getting H (this was after wearing 50s) I got 3 bags, railed 2, felt absolutely nothing, did my first and last IV with the last bag and felt nothing. The stuff worked before, it did make me itch this time, but I didn't feel anything else besides the itch. Putting the patches in my mouth knocked me out the first few times but all they do know is improve my mood for a few hours and then make me nauseous.

I tapered my patch dosage all the way down to 8ug/hr (with DHC to help a bit here and there) and since 2 days ago I'm only on 300mg tramadol/day. I don't feel too good (very mild w/d except terrible nightmares and nothing loperamide can't fix - I'm lucky) and have quite a bit of pain but physical therapy is helping me more with the pain than lying around complaining like an old woman popping pills, sucking patches and sippin' on grandma's cough mixture. Also not being able to get high on anything was a big wake up call.

This is against the advise of my PM doc but I obviously didn't tell her I was abusing the stuff. She also is a big fan of sticking needles in my back which do fuck all except cost me $1,000 (even with medical insurance). I'm getting x patches tomorrow, already arranged and paid for out my pocket, that's going to be a temptation to stay away from. (and no, I'm not mailing them to anyone :) )

Actually its not placebo because the same thing happens to me each time i take my dose . just because it wont happen in anyone elses case doesnt mean it doesnt happen in others.

its the relief that u think is the high, no1 can take the same MG's of an opiate for years and still get the SAME HIGH as if they took it the first time

if your human, no

Not getting high anymore being a wake up call ? , find a single dosage that you know doesnt make you high yet doesnt completley kill the pain and stick with that .. some people think they need to up their doses every 4 or so months and that is usually because that feeling isnt there anymore . not because theyre pain is .

some people even tend to associate pain relief with the high which is where shit usually starts to go down hill .. not saying you did . but alot of people do . if you are in that much pain where you had to wear a patch that big you shouldnt be afraid to have to take something to relieve it , as long as your just looking for RELIEF not fun .. fun shouldnt even be included in the equation if your in pain . thats something alot of people also dont understand .

i was the same way , i spent 8 years looking for alternative methods but after they all failed im left with no choice .. having no choice sucks more than haveing the choice to do something else . but dont deny it if you have the option

u could be right...the opinion i have is scientifical facts

i said its relief

your addicted and u get relief EVERY TIME you take it.

ur saying u still get the SAME, great feeling everytime you redose and you've been doin this for years everyday, i dont know man, it just doesnt add up

im not even saying relief is a bad thing

because

whats a high?
a high is when u urself feel great

youu do not need drugs to achieve a high, theres other things to do

its all mental

if you've ever studied about endorphins then ud know all about it, and seritonin

look up endorphins, its excactly like and i mean EXACTLY like opiates

id take natural endorphins anyday over opiates- but they dont laast long enough so FUCK lol

catch my drift..

ur relief produces a high

When in doubt, go for a jog... it's the best cheap high you can get, haha. But as for the fentanyl users, any tips on use? I've wanted to try it for my back pain (I have a pinched nerve) but its potency seems quite daunting at first glance.... My doctor is even reluctant to write me a prescription for it in spite of the fact that 2 x 15mg Oxycodone doesn't quell the pain.

At this rate it would almost be cheaper/less hassle to bootleg my own morphine in-house.

For starters you just said "scientifical". That should end the discussion but here is a little more information.

Chronic pain is a bitch. He didn't say "great" feeling. There is a vast difference between medicinal usage and recreational usage. For me, the same pain relief is still brought about (and it's been over a year) by the same dosage.

This is one of the things pain management doctors are looking for. While they except some amount of dosage titration they don't expect to find it every few months (with a few exceptions: cancer, terminally ill, etc).

However for functioning chronic pain sufferers (i.e. not dying) it is found time (and time again) that they settle into a certain dosage and they are set for many years (unless there is an increase in pain).

Call any pain clinic, tell them you are doing a study for your school on the difference between terminally ill and functioning chronic pain sufferers. If someone will take the time to meet with you, you'll find that everything LT and I are saying is true.

The moment you stop viewing narcotics as medicine and decide they are a gateway to recreation, you lose. You will constantly chase the "high" and you will never get there.

However, when used as prescribed (shocking!) you will find a dose that offers adequate pain relief but does not get you "high". Because you aren't looking for a high. You are looking for relief.
