In October 1978, Carangi did her first major shoot with top fashion photographer Chris von Wangenheim. Wangenheim had her pose nude behind a chain-link fence with makeup assistant Sandy Linter. Carangi immediately became infatuated with Linter and started to pursue her, though the relationship never became stable.

i recall tribal girl mentioned people were unhappy cause jolie didn't look like gia, and something which i agree with, was that it didn't matter cause she captured that young, wild, reckless, live fast die young, thing. think i may watch it later =)

any industry that runs on the flesh of young girls is disturbing as fuck. i read "model" a couple of months ago and there were some insaneo horror stories of girls going to shoots and never coming home, tons of rape and abuse, force fed drugs to keep them malleable. disturbing disturbing disturbing.

i hear you, its a trip how on one side the industry is all about presenting beauty but on the flip side there is an insanely ugly side behind the scenes.

what material is that? it looks like it could be super uncomfortable if it wasn't moveable fabric :( i have this black and gold crop top that buttons down the back which is fucking amazing but i have to stand there like a statue when i wear it because it's so fucking stiff with all the embroidery and shit.

sounds similar. all i could find about the material is "Liya wore a halterneck, textured dress from the Fall 2012 collection by Proenza Schouler in pale sage and champagne gold with a black knit under-layer. The design featured a double peacock print and colors that were used in the collection, but Liya’s dress seems to be an off-runway piece." hmm :\

im pretty sure i saw an interview with her on youtube smoking.

louis campaign is pretty sweet literally and figuratively speaking. :D

always thought she was beautiful. never saw any of her movies, so i just wasn't really paying her much mind. i recall the pipe pics and the one of her in a pot leaf bikini top <3 my downess to her should've been cemented the moment i saw the pics but it took her calling haters "voracious, starving shit eaters" for it to be official like a referee with whistle. :D
