Describe a Bluelighter you have met recently.

ok...here is my list, Im at a net cafe like a nerd until I decide what to do with the home connection so forgive any spelling errors, its too hard to fix em! Here are some people I met in Melbourne last week in vague order of meeting:
Nickyj: greeted by being swept of my feet and a pill shoved in my mouth got us off to a good start...it was great to catch up and reminisce about the war and it was like we saw each other every day. Nice to meet you at last!
Mary Poppins : since I dont hang out much in this forum I see you more of an LJ buddy too- you are such a lovely person and it was fun spending a few days with you. Couldnt ask for a better roomie :)
Ozbreaker: also an LJ buddy, your dance style is second to none- thanks for staying on that extra time although more was required, I missed you when you left
Katmeow: one of the most easy going friendly people I have ever met, instant comfort. I shall have to add you to my buddy list on LJ

Getting a little more difficult to put in order now...
Pop Popavich- happy birthday man, your ability to keep a straight face and have a normal conversation with a virtual stranger while your brain is dancing around in your skull was very impressive.
Magpi- thought you were a woman, turns out you are a dude so maybe you were the biggest surprise in Melbourne :) Pity we didnt have much time together as I think we have a lot in common so we shall have to swap msn handles and catch up ok :)
m4ddog: your smile is one of the biggest, happiest smiles I have ever seen and I swear you look like that guy from that movie...you know the one.
Astrosmurf- you are a little legend, thanks for taking care of me when I ummm..indulged in the booze and k too much!
Iamtha1- gorgeous girl, /i have some pics on my camera of you that Ill send you-
who else: 420* and DC, /miss Slingshot, you guys are legends
KB- just like I expected we got along great, the pink shirt threw me a bit but I guess if anyone can pull it off its you :)
Blossom: I think I have your watch! all too brief meeting you, my own fault, I am weak as piss.
Potato: an honour, make sure you wear those brown pants again, they suit you.
Breakabeat: another LJ buddy, it was more of an LJ meett up than BL for me ...we need to keep in more regular contact
SLM: you have been on my wish list for a long time and it is a pity you had to leave early but at least I got to kiss you ;)
1234: tall, nice glasses, put up with my shit, cant ask for more

Fatz: my new found friend for life, I am sure our paths will cross again Sorry about your car, that fuckin sucked :p
Butros: great guy, I am sounding like a complete suck now as I have nothing bad at all to say about any of you but you especially are hot. It was agreed upon by a few of the chicks so its not just me ok :)
Starfalls! I was intending on meeting you since I started planning this trip- thanks for coming back to the hotel and visiting.

I am sure there were others but my lunch break is up so Ill edit this tomorrow when I have time

but all in all it was one of the best holidays I have had and I am beginning to think that maybe the Perth crew all need to get their arses over to meet you all and have as much fun as I did. Cheers!

Although i met people at Bondi its impossible to communicate at an event, so i cant comment too much. Likewise with Pops Party, most people were quite out of it after fiending for days.

Err ... not that i was much better after 3 days w/o solid food, sleep dep, heaps of ibuprofen, the sketchies, and 2 bottles of wine. hmmm ... must have been a good trip :)

As I'm much more skilled at insulting than complimenting (and cos it will be funnier), I will post the exact OPPOSITE of what I thought of people =D

iamthe1: What a WHALE! She must have a custom bed made just to fit her enormous girth (her in bed *shiver* i dont want to even think about it!). This bitch is stuck up and as cold as ice as well. For example, when she greeted me at Pops', she made me feel so unwelcome i just wanted to go straight home again. I hope she dies young and ugly.

FaTz: What a spineless wiener; he is obviously about as self aware as your average gnat. When ever he had something to say, everybody would ignore him or simply look past him with glazed eyes ... pfft, no presence at all, which is lucky cos then you dont get to hear any of his crap humor.

potato: God i hate this guy. If he wandered over to chat, i always did my best to hide in the hopes he go talk to someone else. Ugly and has zero generosity of spirit

nickyj: There was something intangible about him that made me feel slightly ill, and i dont think it was the eye-watering stench coming off him, more like you just couldnt trust him. The guy wouldnt piss on his own grandmother to save her; but if he did, he would at last have something interesting to say.

Marry Poppins: I detest this girl with a deep and unabiding hatred. She talks boring anecdotal shit constantly, has the wit of a putrid dish cloth, as insightful as a coma victim, the social grace of a feral dog and wouldnt know a joke if climbed up her nose and died. Die you bitch!

SLM: I've been trying to avoid this girl ever since i joined bluelight, and, as it turns out, for very good reason. In the future, if we have some kind of racial/social cleansing they'll use her as a blueprint for who to eradicate first. The short time we had to chat i found her rude, obnoxious, self absorbed and the aural equivalent of drilling teeth. With that ego Im amazed she found someone to marry her.

Magpi: What a chump, with a charismatic style that annoys even more than that mossie that always turns up just as you're trying to get to sleep. I think his natural state of being is to act like his grandmother just died and its all your fault. Keep that shit away from me.

Katmeow: So obviously uncomfortable in her own skin, and the effect just rolls off her in waves such that you feel like stringing yourself up just to avoid the depression. Face only a mother could love (if she was blind), and about as deep as dishwater. Would rather slam my nuts in a door jam than spend any more time lazying around in the sun chatting.

LSpace: Loud mouthed braggart who doesnt know his ass from a hole in the ground. I really struggled to come up with some topic he could actually comment on with out making a complete dick of himself. He is obviously destined for a life of obscurity, doing a mundane job that he will no doubt fuck up in world class style.

MoeBro: Quite, serious, insanely depressed guy who constantly seemed 2 seconds away from slitting his own wrists, not that anyone would know or care if he did. If you really want to spoil any kind of party, make sure MoeBro is invited; guaranteed he will piss of all the guests and turn the whole thing into a disaster.

ButrosButros_Grantos : This ugly, petty, hostile little toad lives in his ice tower where none of us mere mortals are judged good enough to go near. I felt (even more) physically ill just chatting to him, and during the picnic I would often question gods judgment creating such a worthless cretin.

Dante: An old school bluelighter that has reared his ugly head again. There must have been universal celebration when he stopped posting, but it was just plain malicious of him to inflict his presence on the picnic. It makes me cringe just to recall chatting with him.

KemicalBurn: As expected, he is a dull, stupid, ignorant hillbilly who runs around looking for attention like an excitable terrier. I'm glad i didnt get much of a chance to chat because it could tell I would have been bored to tears.

astrosmurf: Pretentious little snob who only looks out for herself. Probably one of those spoilt kids where they expect the world to do them favors. She took special care to see that I felt unwelcomed, alienated and horribly sober. I hate her.

1234: What an utter twat, im so glad he isnt hanging around bluelight anymore; obviously it was only the masochistic people that wanted him to turn up to the picnic

Other people i met, and would definitely like to avoid seeing in the future as even from the brief chat (or cloudy recollections??) i can tell i would dislike them:

Same here... None of you are good enough to come near my ice tower, it's mine all mine, it's my... precious...

I enjoyed chatting to several new people, they know who they are...

(I decided to leave that as open ended as possible so people with overly large egos will feel they have had them stroked, while those paranoid people out there (yes I'm talking about you) will be worried if I don't mean them.)

Up All Night - this one had been hovering round the top of my hit list for some time - and I was quite scared to meet her. But my usual impeccable taste was again proven right - loved her to death. :)

UnSquare - I feel like in a few years I'm going to be selling my story to Woman's Day about "how I drank with him once"....I know what it's like to be in the presence of true creative genius, and I liked it :D

Breakabeat/Breakyaself - only got to chat briefly with her in melbourne so I was glad I got to spend some more time with her in sydney. An absolute winner. Screaming out "you motherfucking cunts" off her balcony at 4am was all style :D

I feel like I should write an entry about Gina....but my head is aching also.

i had a bit of a niggling thought that i'd forgotten someone from my list, and lo and behold it was correct :\

i have to add this one, because this man was fucking rokk....and i apologize 1000 times for not including you, it is by no means a reflection on you, but more my damaged cerebellum.

the one and only naughtiest maximus - this man regularaly has me in stitches from such posts as his "the c word" thread and his drinking thread contributions, so i was very happy to meet him. sporting what can only be described as a hottesttt hottt salt and pepper mullet, i was absolutely delighted to find out that this man, who exudes such a free spirit (he reminds me of the faun mr tumnus in lion witch and the wardrobe) was as straight down the line, witty and easy to talk to as i'd imagined!

i had fun at the gardens but the heat and my soberness drove me away. i did catch up with a few of you while you were down which was fun :)

i dont think i will eveer look at a chicken roll the same again after watching zephyr devour one ;)

I've thought alot over the last week about whether to attempt the description of the many new bluelighters I've met recently. But to be honest, I don't think I can do it justice and I know I'll leave someone out without meaning to.

So instead, I'll simply say thank you to everyone I met for making my trip to melbourne so spectacular ... you've certainly captured a piece of my heart and I will be back :)

pl4yer0ne and i met iamtha1 and moebro over the weekend for a beer while they were in sydney.

straight away we kind of split into girls & boys, iamtha1 and i critiquing what the women around us were wearing, moe and p1 talking computers or something boring like that :p

i'm sure if i searched for iamtha1's name in this thread it would be said every time, but she's so pretty, and so short! the first thing she said to me was 'wow, i thought you'd be really tall!' though so i guess i'm not winning any awards either. she was exactly the way i was expecting, kind, warm, intelligent, funny, and also a tiny bit bitchy with some encouragement from me :D

unfortunately i didn't get much chance to talk to moe, since p1 was hogging him, but he struck me as a nice, bright, straightforward, funny guy. if any of that's wrong let me know and i'll change it to say bad stuff about him ;)

all up, tops afternoon with these two, looking forward to a holiday in melbourne to catch up again (and meet the rest of the crew of course)

kudos for that. Alas, the girlies were too busy chatting about random girlie stuff for a proper conversation with jo (as stated ^^).

I met ozbreaker in Melbourne at some stage early this month, but he was kind of wasted most of the time, and I followed it up by doing the same thing, however in Sydney he turned out to be one of the most amazing, friendly, enthusiastic people I've met. Many thanks for your time, your enthusiasm, driving and general existence.

upallnight. Said hi, had a few cigarettes, and she subsequently proceeded to leave when we changed drinking establishments. Still haven't met her.

ChaosButterfly. Loud, boisterous, outrageously gay. Very cool guy, despite the intoxicated state he appeared in.

DonnyDont. Carried a drinks cooler around, which presumably once held alcohol (I think its surgically grafted to his hand). A somewhat quiet lad. (although this may have something to do with me becoming extremely tired as the night progressed and thus not really paying much attention). Didn't have much of a chat to him, alas.
Sorry bout sounds though dood.

Did I meet any other bluelighters? If so, make yourselves known, and I'll try to remember what you were like.

Many kudos to all involved, those I've known and those I've met.
