Delta 8 THC Megathread

Just bought some "full spectrum d8"... What does that even mean?
In kratom it means the full spectrum of alkaloids in the leaf so I would assume it’s something similar maybe a full spectrum of active cannabinoids? But a lot of times these companies just put shit like that on the label to sell more shit because it sounds more expensive.. maybe I’m wrong idk but I get just as high off of $10.00 distillate as I do off of $30.00 distillate so who knows.

I've only tried it once but it seemed to do the trick.
I got some recently. I will say that it gets me high-ish but maybe short lived and definitely compulsive - all compared to weed and all IME. Even more compulsive than a cigarette, imo. It may e THC but the lacking of "full spectrum" female bud may be what the compulsion is about: Maybe I am not fiending for thc but some other cannabinoid that I am used to ingesting on the reg and wd from?
It doe not satisfy my public persona as I gotta hit too often and still end up wanting my bud and next time I'm taking a bowl... will only have to hit that once if needed.
Still working on the edibles... no time. Cant just eat some without smoking in the AM as I gotta burn in AM so not "controlled testing. lol
How life?
hahaha
peace

ok how does this compare to reg thc >? im a medical patient i started seeing delta8 thc carts?
I was a regular D9 user for most of my life. I've been using delta 8 THC for the last month or so but recently I took a few fat dabs of regular delta 9 THC (the last I'll have for I don't know how long) to remind myself of what too much delta 9 feels like comparatively.

The aftermath of that dab session consisted of me thinking about stupid anxiety "what if" type of thoughts that never quite spun out into a full blown anxiety attack but it was enough to remind me that I don't miss that feeling at all. That's a feeling that delta 8 lacks for me. Even when I take way too much delta 8, I simply go to sleep. It's way more chill in that respect.

The biggest negative about delta 8 for me is the thickness/harshness of the vapor. My way around this is to rarely dab/vape it, sometimes smoke it in hash form but usually I simply eat it as an edible or tincture.

After weighing the pros and cons it looks like I'll be enjoying delta 8 at least until delta 9 is legalized.

I have noticed a major reduction in anxiety inducing effects with delta8. With the delta8 though I agree it is a very harsh vapor so edibles/oral administration is my choice of administration for this one. I also find it’s so much better at pain relief than delta9 thc atleast for me however it reminds me of some of the older synth noids as it’s shorter in duration than delta9 and does leave me feeling a bit fiendish like a cannabis-crack type feeling albeit not as bad as some of the synth noids the desire to remain under its influence is definitely a lot stronger than delta9 although this may be due to the amount of pain relief and anti anxiety effects it has on me. Delta8 also seems to have a paradoxical anti-depressant effect with a huge amount of couch lock/ desire to stay at rest instead of attempting to be in motion lol. In other words delta8 makes me even lazier than delta9 although this isn’t necessarily a bad thing since I use it in larger doses at night to facilitate sleep.

It is good for pain relief, it's comparable to something like Kratom or Tramadol, but without the level of addiction potential.

Also, edibles have me good all day long, I've never felt the need to constantly redose edibles. It's always a one and done situation for me.

This sold me.
I have been on the fence about d8 thc but if it helps with aches and pains, I'm in without doubt.
Can we not just take a weighed glob of the super-glue-like concentrate/distillate and swallow it? I mean would there be any neg side effects other than it possible sticking to teeth and pulling them out? lol

The pain relief is real with delta 8 edibles.

The side effects from not mixing it in with a fat or alcohol are limited but note worthy:

1) Weak effects or Ineffective; some people's bodies won't break it down and they require fat or alcohol for it to work.
2) Constipation
3) Like you said, sticky teeth, sticky everything.

My opinion on eating disty str8? I've heard of people doing it and it working for them but I always put it in a fat or alcohol because it's more bang for my buck. Once you find your reliable bulk supply the cost might be a non-factor, so there's that.

fat or alcohol
Cool.
If I mix it with alcohol many more shots will follow... will save that for a future drinking day.
Now fat is right down my ally. I love me some peanut butter so maybe I'll try it with that and maybe pntbtr cookies (with real butter) if I can find a good recipe. I used to be apt at baking breads and pastries now I can't even get toast right.🤷‍♀️

Once you start cooking with it you'll realize how easy it is to make with just about anything.

Have a mason jar? You now also have a double boiler and can make cannabutter in a matter of minutes. That toast you just ruined that has one side that's edible? Throw some cannabutter on it and go to town! DIsty is tasteless so your cannabutter will taste exactly like the regular butter you use.

Even alcohol tinctures are a cake walk and have nothing to do with the alcohol buzz itself. For example, one dropper full is one ml and contains over 200mg of delta 8 THC. A shot glass contains 44 ml of liquid. Even though I'm using everclear, 1 ml of 75% alcohol isn't going to touch my mindstate in fact I won't notice it at all but the 200 mg of THC sure does make for a head change...

Yessir... of all sizes. lol most contain strains of weed. :)
Also have everclear from my experiment at making "shatter". To think we used to drink that shit straight and chase it with donald duck OJ as kids. wtf? lol I wouldn't drink it to save my life now but will use it for "food service" applications.
Man, thanks for the tips. Of course doing an internet search would offer many options but just tired of it all (the race to becoming life-dependent on tech) and if it weren't for bl this ol' boy would only be online paying bills or buying shit. #fuq4t3chn010G

I guess if I have 90% thc d8 I would need to infuse ~111mg of the distillate to create a 100mg thc dose? hmmmmmmnnnn

Orally yes it’s kinda a one and done.. vaping is rather short lived sorry I didn’t make that distinction lol and yeah the tramadol comparison is absolutely spot on! I recently had surgery and now that I’m out of my opiate scripts d8distillate has been a life saver for the days I can’t score anything for pain, and to be perfectly honest has been the lifesaver even with opiates. They seem to mesh together quite well also!

A little off topic but you have a gas and and electric stove? Nice!

gas stove, electric and gas ovens :)

guess im gonna get the butter softened (1/4lb) and heat distillate (5g) - or whatever - to a softer consistency and blend, stir or mix. wonder if i should add cbd serum to balance?
maybe add some italian herbs and/or fresh or roasted garlic
skys the limit

Is it possible to get this delta-8-thc in countries other than USA and Canada? Without doing something illegal I mean.

I do find a high dose of cbd helps the efficacy of the delta8 for pain relief however that’s just personal preference.

Aaaaand the other ball dropped. My bulk supplier flash-sold their entire stock overnight before I could place a last order. Hopefully what I have lasts... it would seem distillates themselves are being classed under 'vape' with this new mail ban :(

I have a feeling that suppliers are going to start dropping off one by one...mine is still going strong so far.

The raid rumors are frightening. A lot of vendors are tightening their ship. It's really only a matter of time. I'd like to get at least one more stock purchase before this house of cards tumbles.

I've never tried it, but I know that it is a natural cannabinoid. It's not a research chemical. It is a known psychoactive cannabinoid. From what I have heard, it gives a more stimulating experience with much less paranoia/anxiety than delta-9. Though, from what I have heard, it's very similar but "not quite as strong". Though, it is obviously possible to compensate for this by taking more. But it is typically described as less overwhelming, which is a good thing obviously. It did get banned back in August, but it still seems to be readily available online. Listings for delta-8 are still shown on Google, which has heavily censored search results as most people here probably already know. So, I'm guessing that it's here to stay. Probably. But it's impossible to say for sure.
