Delta 8 THC Megathread

You know... now that I think about it I switched to a new brand around the same time I my schizophrenia relapsed after taking sertraline.

That may be what's going on... Although my symptoms subsided weeks ago, these carts are still very strong.

Issue is in doubt.

I will buy one of the old carts today maybe and put this question to rest.

Trash fucking carts you pump man.

The raw distillate is so cheap I've just got a dab pen and bulk jars of delta-8 now. Carts are wasteful/overpriced/bad for the environment, though I did buy a few reusable CCell brand carts for taking to bars, festivals, making a DMT cart, etc. in the future so I can be more discreet if I so choose.

For now I'm content with using the Linx Blaze at home. Haven't tested it yet (waiting on terps) but I'm sure it'll save me hundreds of $$$ a year in carts.

Haha yeah I own that company get owned

For real you don't like them? They get me high as a kite

How long do the coils last? I always throw mine away after use >_<
I really don’t like them tbh. I mean it’s alright id rate it 8/10. Seems to be more organic then 3chi. But so far 3chi king Louie 🚀🚀🚀 and that was off two klonopin last night I got the stoned paranoia still with the cart

They all use a cotton wick of some sort, if only to soak the ceramic cores. Most of the ones you buy retail are one time use types that are sealed and you can't refill. Some you can buy have glass walls and have reusability like the CCell TH2. I've read of people getting one refill, I've read of people getting 50, I don't know how well they'll work but they're a bit expensive to buy too many.

I prefer reusable products when possible.

😳

Every single cart I buy, if it can be disassembled I clean it up and keep in a parts drawer. When I buy distillate I grab a cartridge, fill it and I’m good to go.

Never had an anthem ccell cartridge burn out on me yet. I use low voltage auto draw batteries and one large variable voltage battery which I always run on the lowest setting.

I don’t start hitting the cartridge until I‘ve taken an few draws w/o power, always store the cartridges upright when in use or storage.

Some ccells sold in Canada are permanently sealed and can’t be opened to be filled.

Sound advice. I prefer button-draw batteries on the lowest voltage, d8 jams up the cart too quick unless you can 'preheat' it.

Most of the d8 brands I've seen in the US use one use carts that you can't reopen as well. That's why I decided to buy a few refillables so I can still vape on the go even if carts go bye-bye.

Got some more d8 distillate (Headband flavored terpenes) on the way, plan to test it out in the Linx Blaze when it arrives. Will report back.

No, not unless you want flavor. Raw distillate should be rather bland/gross tasting.
Alright... Sweet! I always thought it would clog immediately or not vaporize.

I don't know why but I hardly ever have a problem with clogging but I have never filled my own cart. I guess I've been pretty lucky with retail carts because my vape battery is cheap and doesn't preheat.

Sir you are correct. To me it tasted like WD40 smells. Unpleasant but it got me quite trashed with one big hit. It’s not a sipping cartridge, if thst makes sense.

I’m pretty sure that Canadian online stores will still sell empty carts to people in the US. Mind, passing customs, but still. Just.....creative. I openly mailed a used vaporizer (not cleaned very well) to a patient (really) in Arizona. I declared the item, specified no charge and said it was for medical use only. Got thru 🇨🇦

Huh. My father-in-law wanted to get some percussion caps for ammo reloading from Canadia, but they told him they wouldn't ship ATF items to the US in essence.

I don't expect carts to 100% up and disappear overnight, but like the Boy Scout motto goes, "Always be prepared."

Finally got around to setting up a double boiler using a mason jar and a pot of water. I melted a couple sticks of butter and threw in about ten grams of delta 8. This was mixed together on low heat for about 10 minutes with no more than a teaspoon of lecithin. My first edible I simply placed some of the butter on freshly made hot biscuits. Delta 8 is tasteless so the taste was amazing.

The come up: It took slightly longer than the alcohol tincture, taking about 3 hours to kick in.

The high: Stronger than the alcohol tincture and lasted at least twice as long. Significantly more tired from this edible compared to the alcohol tincture. I slept like a baby and ate like a monster.

Conclusion: Even though he cannabutter is less potent than the tincture (by weight), the cannabutter hits harder than the alcohol tincture when taking the same amount of delta 8. It could be that the alcohol tincture is too saturated with delta 8 to be as effective and it could also be that my body absorbs the butter better than it does the alcohol. I suppose there is also the possibility that some of the delta 8 converted to CBN during the heating process, however I don't think it would have been much if any. Either way, cannabutter seems to be the more cost-effective way of dosing edibles, however the tincture is more convenient.

Up-Next: After I finish using the rest of my butter making canna-cookies, canna-bread, canna-muffins, etc, I'll be making my first oil based tincture using MCT oil. I will attempt to make it as potent as the alcohol tincture AND without using heat (like I did with the alcohol tincture) if possible.

You might require higher doses than people usually suggest. For delta 8 I took 400mg the other day, I was really high, but it wasn't really psychedelic and more stoney. But I do the same with delta 9. How much normal thc do you need? I think heavy smokers with high tolerances are seriously under represented here
