Delta 8 THC Megathread

Are thcv edibles or delta8 edibles more recreational? Which is closest to delta-9 thc edibles?

Thanks for any advice.

So possibly a dumb question and I apologize ahead of time if it is or if I should’ve asked elsewhere but Are the carts and vape products the only things being banned right now? Or are delta 8 products in general being banned? Just asking because I was hoping to pick up some more distillate in the near future. I just got a few carts before this takes effect and some extra for refilling in the near future as well.

California's overregulates everything. I can't buy anything from that state without them telling me I'm going to get cancer.

What's ever in these disposable vapes makes me cough my lungs out.. can't be healthy
Delta-8-THC distillate... it just has more throat grab than d9 distillate.

Plus the carts use cotton wicks on ceramic usually and if the cotton wick isn't soaked well it can roast hard and taste like ass. Since delta-8 is mostly solid at room temp it can take time to soak the wick.

It's hard to tell. I see many vendors still selling even though tomorrow is March 1st, with no indication of stopping. Others are stopping as of midnight tonight PST.

When it comes to drugs in general though, I adopted the Boy Scout moto: "Always be prepared." Delta-8 could be around indefinitely, it could go bye-bye tomorrow at the whim of a DEA crackdown, it could be banned from shipping... you really can't know. Many states have already banned it themselves even though it technically falls under the legal protections of the 2018 Farm Bill.

THCv edibles would be d9 edibles would they not? d9 converts to THCv with heat/age if I'm not mistaken.

D9 breaks down to CBN with age as well as other substances.

THCV is found in certain strains, the most well known being Durban Poison.

That said, is THCV now on the “legal” market like delta-8 is? I’ve tried THCV but it had some THC still in there too.

THCV will probably feel more potent in the head but delta-8 might be better for body stuff like analgesia.

You’re Very right always be prepared! I should’ve realized this after years in drug scenes in general! Albeit with RC’s there generally is a little bit of notice with their “intent to schedule” announcements and such generally they apply laws as they see fit and this situation is most definitely not different. Thank you for your response! I have some d8 on the way just in case. However I certainly hope this isn’t the last batch I can acquire. I suppose like certain RC’s now the window isn’t completely closed.

A friend of mine seems to think “MCT oil” being mixed with the d8 distillate is the culprit for this. I’m not sure she’s right about this but I supposed it’s not far from the realm of possibility.

Any decent brand isn't using any additive other than ~5% terpenes and 95% distillate/extract. If it's being cut with MCT you've got a cheap/bunk/rip-off brand.

Good to know.. my friend is a bit paranoid anyway.. idk how correc she is or how good the brands she’s buying are but it’s a rather large distributor from what I can recall.

The raw 80%+ distillate can go right into carts, so yeah, anything that isn't thick/mostly clear/tastes of PG, I'd be wary of.
