Davids Ritalin/Dexamphetamine Q&A thread

ritalin = methylphenidate hcl not dexamphetamine.

Ritalin prevents the reuptake of Dopamine/Norephinephine.

Dextroamphetamine RELEASES DOPAMINE/NOREPHRINEPHRINE+prevents their reuptake.

I should just spend the $ and see the PsyDoc and try the God damn stuff to see if it works ant better-which many say does!

Methylphenidate often makes me nervous, perhaps Dex won't-due to it's different action.

I know this is off topic but it isnt worth starting a new thread:

I am a regular cannabis user, and occasionaly use dex for studying purposes.

How long will it take these substances to be out of my system, before a drug test (associated with getting prescribed meds proper).

I would hate to loose a chance at getting medicated simply cos my test showed me to be a drug user.
 
Normally Dex should only take a few days. THC metabolites can take much longer, depending upon several factors. Check out Erowid and Overgrow sites for more information.
 
I'm gonna spend the $ and see the Psydoc and try the holy DEXamphetamine, superior to Ritalin-MOST say,-i wish i didn't have to take anything, BUT have some disorder so.....

I'll let ya'll know my response to Dextroamphetamine 5mg IR tabs, compared to Methylphenidate, currently 80mgs day, Okey Dokey?

I think I'm suffering from deja vu again.

Clearly, there are some people with experience with both drugs on this forum who have answered the questions you keep asking, davids. Go back to page 1 of this thread, and you will see there are several responses which are helpful. Other people have apparently tried one or the other (either under medical advice or as a recreational substitute for amphetamine-like drugs), and you can find their posts using the "Search This Forum" option and seeking threads containing either drug name.

If you genuinely want personally tailored advice on this subject, the best step would be to talk to your own health advisor/medical professional for advice on this subject, as the answer will depend largely on the condition for which you need treatment, and your own medical history. The whole reason there are multiple drugs on the market used to treat each medical condition is that each person achieves different results from them. But, nobody here can diagnose the condition or prescribe the appropriate treatment for you, so please refrain from posting duplicate threads on the subject. Try using Google or a pharmaceutical database such as RxList.com, to find patient/prescribing information on both drugs, this could be useful to you.

Have you regular speed before Davids? Recreationally I mean? Beacause I find dexies to be basically same -if a little more potent and less euphoric. I highly doubt it will eleviate depression etc/if thats what youre inquiring about, as every couple of hrs when it wears off you may feel a little down about that.

Its just speed mate - not some superdrug thats gonna solve all your problems. It helps people with add focus, and it has abuse potential of course. I dont see why it was such a hassle for you getting it in the first. Its a cheaper/generic brand product that was presented to me as the most obvious first choice, then if it didnt work to maybe try something different like Ritalin.

But 'speed' is Methylphamphetamine-which is what addicts prefer.

I am not a speed addict.

I am scripted Ritalin at a somewhat highest dose, i guess, but it sometimes causes anxiety, and irritability-something Dex aparently-less so?

I was diagnosed as ADD?HD-but have depression-i'm sure, i was given prozac 2 days ago, but it's FULL of SEs, something the stims (which somewhat teat depression) do less so.

Dextroamphetamine is, or was, indicated for alcohol use (something i have been imbibing in too much lately)-for psychic relief.

I really think i am depressed, and while Methylphenidate CAN help-can cause contentment sometimes, others anxiety-where i feel like drinking.

I decided to not take the prozac-due to the extensive SEs.

I would LOVE and hope a stim-which Dex has been preferred by many, would help me-even if i had to take it 2-4x daily, i don't mind.

I just wanna be normal.

If i'm gonna take an ADD/HD med-i would rather take dexamphetamine, as after some time methylphenidate has changed in effect.

I cant comment on Ritalin because Ive never tried it, but I have definitely experienced (not surprisingly) anxiety and irritability on dex.
 
apparent adult add. 15mg a day. Mate why dont you just go ahead and make an appointment with your doc. No big deal really.

thanks dude, my presents on this board shows i have a problem, which i have been trying to fight.

Methylphenidate helps/hurts, at times, i guess-so hence my interest in alterenative treatments, of which Dexamphetamine MAY help/hurt me.

I know i gotta do something, or else, the same ole, same ole will repeat itself?

I see a PC Doc but he just gives me the pills i have been taking for some time. Uppers and downers-to put it clearly.

I don't know at this point, but want to have whatever problem i have treated.

Whether with ADs, APS, Stimulants or God knows what?

ask you doctor for Sodium Valproate - it would do you a lot of good from reading the many posts you have left on bluelight.

I have tried dexamphetamine for a few days, and it makes me too edgy, and quick to anger. (lots of adrenaline) I think ritalin is much nicer (less adrenaline and more dopamine)

Firstly I think youll find most people here do value and recognise the importance of a healthy mind. Well some anyway. Anyway about dex - yeah i find the same, edgy/quick to anger etc. Like this morning Im up at 5, playing videogames and and boy did i almost lose it and throw my PSP through the window. Thats the side of dex i really find hard to deal with sometimes.
 
Takin Ritalin REALLY any difference betweenn Dexanphetamine?

I know that WA, PSS sabsidises Dexamphetamiine, for ADD?ADHD. Iin New Zealand it's IR Ritalin And 20mg SR Ritalin that are subsedised. I have 2, for over 2 years.

I have read that Ritalin CAN promote antisocial tendiancies, and i have felt this. Dextroamphtamine is considered more pro-social, than Ritalin. and proted as a mo'pro social' coctail, especially combined with low dose Clonazepam.


Anyone who has has had experience withBOH Methmethylphenidate+Dexamphetamine PLEASE RESPOND!!

ritalin will fuck with your head more than dexis or even meth in my experience.
 
just insuff'd 10mg of methylphenidate and after 10 minutes it feels quite similar to the effect of insuffilated or eating 10-20mg of adderall, even tho I know that

20mg of Ritalin = 10mg of Adderall

^^ does anyone disagree with that statement?
