One month until I'm there. I just want you to know that felix. :)

I've been listening to the Live @ Coachella set from the net for a while. It looks similar to the Alive track list (I have a feeling it's the same set).

Pumped. Seeing them in about a months time =D

^ nice, got it! :)

there may be similarities in the tracklisting, but I think the Alive one was recorded at the Paris Bercy show this year. (Which is very similar to the set they played at Rockness in Scotland, as witnessed by me and bro Cletus there ;))

It's fucking awesome by the way. %)

I'm a huge Daft Punk fan. However, Alive 2007 is really disappointing. Maybe they are trying to guard from people ripping off their live tracks, but the crowd noise, echo effect, and re-production on this album is horrible to the point where the audience recording from Coachella is better. Sure, there are tracks where the clarity and transparency in sound make the CD better than a bootleg. In this sense, the album is worth it. But all things considered, Daft Punk screwed up a chance to knock this one out of the park. Couldn't they have just injected crowd noise intermittently like other live recordings?

Saw them in Australia just over a week ago, this is what I said at the time:

Daft Punk were amazing. Probably the best live music experience ever. And that's what it was, an experience.

Sure it was probably almost the exact same set they always play. But it's a fucking awesome set. I did pick up a few differences to the live set I had heard from the internet, however it was essentially the same set.

wow, you seem rather difficult to please. :\

anyway, i've just got this one - the 'Alive' album from 1997:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alive_1997

Alive 1997 is an album by Daft Punk released on November 6, 2001. It contains a 45-minute excerpt of a live performance recorded at Birmingham's Que Club on November 8, 1997. It was selected by Daft Punk themselves for release, as they considered it to be their favorite live performance from their Daftendirektour. It prominently features elements of "Daftendirekt", "Da Funk", "Rollin' & Scratchin'" and "Alive" from their Homework album. The live performance also contains elements of what would later become the track "Short Circuit" featured in the album Discovery. Alive 1997 contains the excerpt in one continuous track on CD. The CD and vinyl packaging included a set of Daft Punk stickers.

  1. Da Funk
  2. Back to the Punk
  3. WDPK Part I
  4. Rollin' and Scratchin'
  5. WDPK Part II
  6. WDPK Part III
  7. Alive

45 minutes of pure chunky bleepy techno bliss. little to no vocals either.

SWEET %)
