NOOO DO NOT DO THISTalking to fellow users, they say to hold in a hit of crack for as long as possible - past 15-30 seconds is there any point? Or are you just giving yourself oxygen deprivation that feels like getting higher? It genuinely does feel like it is effective but even if that's the case I bet it worsens the physical harm profile which is already nasty. The rush just feels too damn good though.
It gets you higher tho if you're that worried about your lungs maybe dont smoke anythingNOOO DO NOT DO THIS
My dad did this with heroin and crack, holding it in deep for ages and his lungs got fucked up he got copd and everything and the worst thing was he kept smoking because obviously he was addicted these things are no joke I used to think they are they lead to you being on medication you need so you can breath properly but these medications put you in a like coma state they did with my dad anyway and it was horrible seeing a fully grown man reduced to that not to mention other side effects like his legs swelling up and other debilitating stuff he was never the same after he got on the medication and it's one of the hardest things, if not the hardest things I've had to see and it's all because he couldn't breathe anymore all because he got copd and guess what caused that smoke gear for 20 odd years and holding it all in he even told me this himself
So I will let you decide if there is any point op, my dad was born with weak lungs so he was more susceptible which means I'm probably the same but make no mistake it will catch up to you and change your life when it does you never think it will happen to you until it's to late it just ain't worth it just blow the smoke out after the burning hit feeling is gone don't count it.
Oh btw if anyone is interested I read an interesting article stating that people who have suffered from respiratory infections at a young age(I did when I was a kid I always get ill around november)are significantly more likely to develop lung problems/diseases later in life and if they smoke it's even more worse on top of that, I wish I could remember the name of the article sorry to go off topic but it was really interesting and I just wanted to share some of it after reading it and after what happened to my dad I know one thing I am fucking gonna quit smoking if it's the last thing I do!
op once again please don't hold your hits in because you don't gain anything more, because of tolerance, the more smoke you absorb the more your tolerance goes up the less you absorb the less your tolerance goes up so he's not is pointless.

I didn't say not to hold it in the title is not to hold it in for a long time and I probably know a lot more than you but hey it's your life just remember me when your in hospital with breathing tubes in you and copdLmao it is a fact that holding your hit in longer when smoking crack AND heroin maximizes your high. I don’t think you ever have even gotten high off either substances bc you don’t seem to know dick.
Sorry I didn’t know dat movie and English is not my primary language I’m from Quebec City
Inhaling ANYTHING other than clean air is bad for you as it exposes your lung tissues to foreign substances. COPD stands for "Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease". So "pulmonary" refers to the lungs and "chronic obstructive" means constantly blocked or [something] constantly in the way. This happens most frequently with lifelong cigarette / tobacco smokers. Your dad, I'm guessing, didn't smoke cigarettes, instead choosing to vaporize cocaine and heroin, I think you said. (If he smokes cigarettes, too, then everything else is virtually irrelevant).I didn't say not to hold it in the title is not to hold it in for a long time and I probably know a lot more than you but hey it's your life just remember me when your in hospital with breathing tubes in you and copd
Sorry I didn’t know dat movie and English is not my primary language I’m from Quebec cityAutocorrect is cracking my shit up right now… Anyway, I'm just referencing the time Marion Barry was caught in a hotel room, on camera, half-naked & smoking crack with a sex worker he'd just hired… while still Mayor of Washington, DC. Honestly though he did a lot for the communities in DC, but you know, haters gonna hate, &c.
un peu comme Rob Ford l’ancien maire de Toronto filmé en train de fumer du crack dans une limousine. Le plus drôle c’est que même après la diffusion de la vidéo, il n’a pas voulu démissionner.Ce n'est pas un film. Consider the average purity of those two drugs. Also, the smoking/vaping techniques people use with these drugs are often not very safe, tending toward using too much heat. There are a lot of factors that could be involved in lessening the overall elasticity of one's lungs, thus decreasing their capacity and ability to draw in air for respiration (the net effect of COPD). I think you could safely file your dad's words under, "do as I say, not as I do", something parents (understandably) are often guilty of doing. But the connection between holding your hits and lung damage is tenuous as best, and mostly just misunderstood. Remember: correlation does not prove causation.
Here are two scenarios: Your dad loads up 40 mg of drugs, takes a hit, then immediately blows it out. A total of 12 mg goes into his blood. He then loads another 40-mg hit, takes it, blows it out right away, once again, and takes in another 12 mg of the drug. He's now at 24 mg total in his blood, but wants to go a little bit higher. So he takes a third, 40-mg hit, blows it out and absorbs 12 mg more. He has 36 mg of this drug in his circulatory system. He's high and satisfied. Total amount of drug used: 120 mg with 36 mg absorbed. Efficiency: 30%. Three hits taken.
Now picture this instead: your dad loads up a 40-mg hit. He takes his hit and holds it a good 20 seconds. Blows out hardly any vapor. Takes in 36 mg and is sufficiently high enough that he's done. Total amount of drug used: 40 mg with 36 mg absorbed. Efficiency: 90%. One hit taken. It's difficult to picture the first way as being the superior approach regarding one's lung-health.
Different strokes for different folks, my man, and to each their own. Moreover, I don't think the high is so bad, it's just ridiculously overpriced, in my opinion. The subject line could be shortened to
"Crack, any point?"
Answer: "No."
Sorry, I'm a fan of many drugs but crack is by far my least favorite. The high is just absurdly short-lived. More trouble than it's worth.
Cocaine delivers a relatively short high anyway but intranasal, sublingual, or intravenous are all superior routes.
C'est parce que Rob Ford n'est pas un lâche, mdr. Are you sure I thought I heard a few heads saying differently on Soft White Underbelly?15 secs, more than that is a waste.
Who cares, it's the most addictive drug psicologically ever. Fuck that garbage. Are you sure I thought I heard a few heads saying differently on Soft White Underbelly?
Omg I discovered soft white underbelly recently shits crazyAre you sure I thought I heard a few heads saying differently on Soft White Underbelly?
It makes you go batshit crazy on the long run. The shit is insidious as fuck, I was becoming insane at my lowest point. Sooo not worth it u want hit after hit after hit after hit.... it's mad stuff.Omg I discovered soft white underbelly recently shits crazy
Most drugs, such as crack cocaine / freebase, are not actually smoked at all, but rather, they are vaporized and the difference is significant. Any organic matter that becomes pyrrolized is potentially a carcinogen. So smoking something (i.e., using combustion) requires burning it and breathing in that smoke. With weed, for example, your statements are true. You pull most of the THC from the smoke within a few seconds, and there should be smoke left to blow out that you don't want in your body.I have read many studies about how manipulating breathhold duration itself has a tremendous influence,
cognitive & psychological/-somatical, especially in connection with smoking.
However, the lungs only need a few seconds to actually absorb anything, the rest is just breathplay and oxygen deprivation,
with the added bonus of damaging your lungs every second the smoke is in there.
Long-term effects are usually that people who hold in their smoke to get "higher" have much more damaged lungs.
So, no increased effect post-(circa)4 seconds. Do not hold smoke in longer than 4 seconds.
If you have the desire to keep it in longer, that is a purely psychosomatical effect
It would be healthier to choke yourself after smoking, if you need the oxygen deprivation to get high
