Don't feel bad - condoms are horrible. Completely anti-sexual. It's so sad to think that there is a whole generation of people alive today who have NEVER experienced real sex as humans have had it for all our history - but instead have only fucked separated by latex. Many people like myself have never and would never use them unless it was an emergency. Total turnoff.
No one used these except in high school or with prostitutes before the Great Fear. My advice: Both go to the local public health clinic, get screened for HIV/syph/clap - don't worry about anything else, look into some real birth control or stick to sodomy, read up a bit on the REAL risks of various STDs and don't be made fearful by public health hyperbole, and fuck like humans are meant to fuck. Have fun....
Condoms aren't anti-sexual. Myself and other bisexual and gay men I know have used them since we came of age and became sexually active when HIV/AIDS was known about, and I know bisexual and gay men who used them for anal sex even before HIV/AIDS was known about and people were getting infected in the 70s.
I also know latex fetishists both men and women of all sexualities who happen to like condoms and get turned on by them.
There are lots of ways to have safer sex and they don't all involve using condoms.
I can understand not using them for giving or getting oral sex unless you're giving oral sex to someone who is HIV+ or who has herpes, or not using them if you're in a completely monogamous relationship with someone and have been monogamous for awhile and are HIV neg and without other STDs.
I'm sure you'll deny it but there are a lot of people even straight women and hetero men who are HIV+. Also just one test that says someone's HIV neg does not mean that they're actually HIV neg.
People can have STDs like herpes/HPV and not have an outbreak at all or even know that they're infected and pass them along to other people.
There are also types of Hepatitis A, B, and C that you can get from certain sexual acts.
OP-Try different brands of condoms. There are a lot more out there than just Trojan thin condoms and Magnuns. Also do things for sex that will turn you on besides just giving her vaginal sex or anal sex, so you get very aroused and turned on and then use a condom and continue having more sex. There's also telling yourself what Panic in Paradise wrote. If you use sex toys on the woman you're with use condoms on those too.
