Coming off Invega/Xeplion (paliperidone) injections v11

I don’t know if any of you are spiritual or religious but I used to believe in God and I still do but I don’t believe God would ever condone the use of these drugs… it makes me feel so wronged. For them to make a drug that literally severs your connection to spirit and the divine. Insanely cruel.

Whatever they’ve done goes against nature. It’s a violation so monstrous and evil…

I feel like I’ve been defiled.

They are convinced it helps. Psychology and psychiatry are very new schools of thought and their methods are still very crude. They do not intend to do evil, but its really anger inducing when you tell them you are sufferimg and they dont care. Or when you tell them these new side effects youve developed SINCE the medication and they try to tell you these are side effects of your illness and want to give you even more medicine. I learned to keep my mouth shut and just cross off the days on the calendar.
 
Switch to a private psychaitrist immediately if your doctor is not listening to you. They have to answer to you because you are their customer.

In alot of countries you dont have this option. No private shrinks here. Thankfully i have a very understanding shrink

In the psych ard i was forced to not only go cold turkey off life threatening doses of benzos and morphine but also go 3 months with being psychotic and having cotards syndrome because my quack shrink in there refused to give me any meds. I shit you not i didnt even get a advil in there for 3 months

Thankfully i managed to get another shrink after gettng tossed in solitary for like the 6th time
 
One stategy if you reach a stone wall with your shrink, is to play reverse psychology. The doctor wants to think "yes i cured this person" so tell them when you see them "im doing great. I feel wonderful. Im improving." Everytime. Domt give them a reason to assign these med sideffects to a mental illness. Just let them think they are a wizard who cures you until your CO expires. Tell them you want to contimue treatment voluntarily so they dont extend it the CO. When it expires tell them you are moving to another doctor. Or schedule appointments and miss them. And GTFO there.
 
Put UD next to all your signatures you have to sign. Means under duress. No document is legal if you signed under duress. You can use this later if you plan to sue. Make it small so it goes unnoticed. When these documents get shown as evidence of your consent at court point to the UD. Just an idea.

Seeing how my family want to help me but they can’t hurts me. My father tends to recycle the same advice of I just need to think positive and that, I’m in control of my thoughts. In reality this medication interferes with my thinking and is almost by default negative. I sincerely hope that time will heal.

That is perhaps one of the worst feelings. Nobody can truly understand what we went through or going through right now, not even the people that love us the most. But having them show the effort in support is better than nothing. And i understand the guy that got pissed at me earlier, the "just be positive" gets irritating. But we really have no other option. Being locked inside your own brain is fucked up. But im just saying having experienced it, i was sure i would never recover. Am i 100%, no. But not in brain lock anymore. I hope my encouragement comes off differently than others who have no idea what this is.

im grateful you came back to this forum. Hearing it from someone who has been injected with Invega is different, as you potentially know what we’re going through.

Thanks for coming back, it’s given me hope I might have some positive change coming 4 month mark.
 
Reforms needed:
#1. You should not be commited if you have not proven yourself to be a direct danger to others. Danger to yourself should not matter. I believe people have the right to live unsafe if they choose. If you are threatening or commiting acts of violence to others, that may be different. Natural law, which is the foundation of all freedoms im the west states " you have not committed a crime if you did not harm or injure another person or property" therefore your liberty has no right to be deprived

#2. If accused of being a damger to others evidence must be provided.

#3. Once committed you shall have access to the internet and phone everyday. You shall be able to see all the phone numbers of local attorneys and be able to call them in business hours and when they call back it is required that they give the phone to you. No communications shall be monitored.

#4. All documents they ask you to sign in the ward must explicitly state your consent is voluntary and you may not be compelled or coerced or made to believe you cannot leave without signing.

#5. You cannot be transfered to another facility without your consent unless a minimum of 1 year has passed.
You can not be transfered without consent if court is pending.

#6 No medication can be administered without your consent in the ward. They must provide you with a detailed report of all sideeffects from the manufacturer and THIRD party. They must provide you with consumer reviews from a 3rd party.

#7. It shall be illegal to require you to take medication to leave. All doctors must try to recover you without medicime first and give you 1 year to do it.

#8. You have the right to switch doctors and challenege your diagnosis. If another doctor has a different opinion in favor of a sooner release, his shall override.

#9. A hotline for a 3rd party must be provided to report abuse from staff which they shall investigate.

#10. It must be required that you are able to contact any of your friends amd family or lawyer at anytime.

#11. You must also be allowed a minimum of 30 mins outside everyday for health purposes.

#12. Your friends and family can petition your release.


Just a start.

And also you shall be provided with a calendar, pen, and notepad, and a clock. You shall be told the date every morning. You shall also be provided printed updates on all internal notes from all staff.

In the ward we where on it wasent that bad. You had internet, a phone there, takeout as often as you wanted, weed and cigs. You wherent allowed the weed and cigs technically but they cant stop everyone

Dude mine you were an absolute prisoner. No going outside, no cigs, no take out, no internet, not even a clock. I had to makena calendar to keep track of the date. They will ask you the date and if you answer incorrectly it is proof that you are mentally unwell. Some members of the staff were very abusive. Mainly nurse techs who were there to collect a paycheck and get off on their power trip over you.
 
Another reform: friends and family can bring you food at anytime and it cannot be denied from you. You will be allowed to eat this at any time.

Some of the staff there where cunts for sure but most where alright or indifferent. At our psych ward you could stay out till 7pm so if you wanted to go to the mall, the bar or the weed store you could. We also had cases of drink and stuff like chips we kept in our rooms. We certainly had it better then alot

Whoah. No Fkin way! If that was the case man i think id never left haha. But yes sadly this is not the case for a lot of us. Some of the nurse techs would say "take your medicine bitch". "Hey bitch how are you". I was almost forced to clean up somebody elses puke with nothing but my hands. Luckily a nurse walked by and the nurse tech acted like he wasnt just trying to force me. I had to remove trash out of the toilet my roomate put in with his piss in there in order to keep them from taking our toilet out of the bathroom. I did not bother a soul there or try to talk to anyone. I would read my bible and if somebodybwas interested id invite them to read with me. I was picked on even more for being scared and keeping to myself. Somebody would hit the intercomm button to my room and say "godddddddddd" over and over to mess with me. They had a lottery game where we could win shoes to wear. I actually won but gave it away to a female who said her feet hurt. I was threatened to be raped (by room mate and was called a bitch by staff for requesting to switch rooms) and i was threatend to get my ass beat for no reason at all almost on daily basis by a very abusive staff member (same guy i mentioned earlier). I knew i couldnt fight back because they would extend my stay. I had to just take it amd shake in fear in my bed. Which they came in every 15 mins to check on you and wake you up. You couldnt even sleep man. If you brought any snacls or drink to fill your belly and quench your thirst at night, they did a room search and took your food and drink. I had a bright light outside my window and i used a sheet to cover the window so i could attempt to sleep. They came and tore it down. I have never been so dehumanized in my life brother. It all sounds so unbelievable and when you get the crazy stamp nobody for sure will believe anything you say. This is in good ole free US of A.

Thanks for the response. I think maybe my jaw stopping clenching and my restless leg clearing up are early stages of akathisia starting to wear off, but I could be wrong.

I think waiting for the Anhedonia to wear off will be much easier when I no longer have akathisia, as right now it’s tough.

Yes, definitely. You’ll still be bored all the time but it won’t be painfully uncomfortable anymore.
