Codiene may becoming Script only ?

no dude, i'd seriously take a massive break from paracetamol a nd alcohol or anything else that may damage your liver. you just ate 10g of paracetamol yesterday. that's fuckin suicidal. please look into drugs before taking them. you posted on here and necked them anyway without waiting for a reply. wait a couple of weeks before doig more and do a proper CWE with no more than 150ml icey cold water and use coffee filters for a completely clear liquid.

if you start feeling pains in the middle right of your abdomen or you start getting sick, go to hospital. maybe you should even be considering hospital/doc now.
 
Yeah my psychiatrist was telling me about how he knows an older lady (40s) who got addicted to codeine, but she clearly didn't know about Bluelight or similar places teaching the CWE school of thought. Completely ruined liver/kidneys/stomach, severe medical complications, dialysis, not pretty. Have only heard of one death, which was reported in the newspaper about a year ago (again, an older lady). I know a lot of people on here are like "codeine is completely weak arse mate," but when it's the only opiate you've ever known, it can be an extremely strong pull. I remember getting full-blown withdrawals from it (if I remember correctly it's essentially a pro-drug of morphine, so it's actually a morphine addiction people are dealing with). Pharmacists I notice have definitely become progressively more and more stricter on its sale. (Ahhhh.... the good old days when you could waltz in grab 3 packets of 120 tablets (that's ~4.6 grams of codeine), take it to the counter, no pharmacist involved)... :\

Go to the hospital emergency room right now, they will give you a drip of acetylcysteine which may help a bit... You will most likely get EXTREME nausea and start vomiting up green bile (that's what happened to me when I was a young kid and stupidly decided to try and off this way), as in the worst hangover you've ever had times 5, and this will last for a couple of days. 20 tablets isn't enough to kill you but you'll be acutely sick, and probably suffer some organ damage. To know the actual extent of damage you will need actual pathological tests done (starting with a blood test). There's no reason to ever have to take APAP with codeine. All you need is water and a decent filter (probably not meant to say this, but: even a sock if you're desperate) and a couple of minutes patience to prevent this.

yeah so i started puking up green and black shit, stomach felt like it had a bullet in it went emergency room for a shot of something and then had extensive test done. bloods saliva etc

liver took a bloody battering but its still kicking. probably getting committed to a detox facility tomorrow but a bloke in here who's also heading that way, says he has a mate who can get us shit in there,.


so im gonna co a cold water extraction next time i do this sh*t. how much mgs of codeine is a good amount to get off chops? i got too sick from the 20 tabs to get a feel of how off chops i got. i was just drowsy as fuck nek minnut emergency room getting the ol liver pumped
 
150mg is an ok place to start

I think 20 pills = 250mg

It's worth taking an antihistamine like doxylamine with it so u don't get itchy.

I think it's a pretty weak and short acting opioid, I don't really bother with it anymore.

Some people seem to like it tho. Everyone metabolises codeine differently.
 
PEOPLE!! It is baffeling how it remains that many here have never heard of CWE!!

Or is it that people are lazy?

Here is the simplest CWE I can think of. It is easy and it takes less than 1 minute:

All you need is: 2 glasses (or anything that can hold water); Tissue paper; Spoon (or your finger, anything to stir with); Water.

STEP 1. Put pills in the first container. Pour enough COLD water to completely submerge pills (from the sink, no need to cool it in fridge). No need for excessive water. Stir untill all pills are completely dissolved.

STEP 2. Take 2 pieces of tissue on top of each other, hold them on top of the second container like a filter; gently pour contents of container 1 through filter into container 2.

THAT'S IT! drink the water, discard the stuff caught in the filter.




 
^^^^ i just used that method except i pre cooled the water for a bit in the fridge beforehand


my final solution was pretty clear and there was heaps of gunk in the filter

is that safe??? used 12 tablets of panadeine extra
 
If the solution is clear and free of white bits (paracetamol) it should be safe to drink.

Keep in mind you don't need more than 2-3ml of water per tablet, so for 12 tablets, 30ml of water is enough.
 
I can see it possibly happening.

[large chain pharmacy] take your licence down for anything codeine now (sucks coz they got the best prices) but I've had no problem getting the 40 packs of generic panadeine extra for CWEs... The one thing that sucks tho is I top up my CWEs with Painstop Night-Time Reliever (yeah lean, stfu. Works great for the lost codeine and promethazine) but they are discontinuing the 200ml bottles (according to a shopand another Pharmacy [missus has been told] so it's just 100ml bottles now.)
Shame it got so widely abused once word spread...

^I don't think you're meant to mention brand names, but they also share that recorded information between their stores- or so I believe.
 
Hi,

I've had a couple pharmacists recently tell me that codeine tablets are likely to become prescription only soon (when I bought such tablets). I've also had a few places take my license down, not sure on the exact nature of this, although - I recently bought 3 packs in a night, at different stores (not the same chain), and provided my license every time.. So I don't think it's some kind of 'global' DB that they all share.. maybe within the same chain.. I dunno, didn't really want to find out lol).

EDIT: Also, regarding Large Chain Pharmacy taking your license down. I found that in one suburb, a certain LCP takes my license down, but in a couple other suburbs that same LCP doesn't bat an eyelid when I ask for the tablets, nor take my details.

Yeah, in OZ it's about to become script only. Can't think of the link to post atm, but after double, randomised trials the consensus is that codiene added to nurofen or paracetamol doesn't act as an analgesic for most ppl.

Btw, because of the metabolism, it will rarely be prescribed anyway.

I will be so pissed off when they do its bad enough I gotta hobble in there to get them then get the whole "nother druggie " look interrogation techniques fk em I'll grow my own then .
 
Wow, Australia and U.S. are so different. The only way to lay your hands on codeine here is via prescription. Wow. I may need to take a vacay over there. :)
 
Every second person here in logan is getting a codiene based pack the docs are gonna b inudated and the chemists closing down

i kind of love smirking at pharmacists when they give me a dirty look when i ask for codeine.
its like they hate my guts for making them realise what they actually are, a drug dealer.
