^ it was mentoined earlier on in this thread regarding mercyndoll, i didnt wanna mention this other piticular brand (a little unclear on specific rules) but 4 harm reductions sake, felt i needed to mention this...and harm reduction is wat we r all about aye:)
 
I think you should be fine to mention the specific brand; there have been mentions of which brands are better at dissolving after all, and you're simply informing us of one which is now being formulated with a potentially dangerous third active ingredient.

nothing has changed with the two mersyndol products!

mersyndol day strength have and only ever had paracetamol and codeine phosphate

mersyndol night strength have and only ever had paracetamol, codeine phosphate & doxylamine succinate
 
it is the Amcal brand "strong pain rielief PLUS"
thinkin its mainly 4 the ozzy folk im not sure if thats ova in the states, UK etc...
the regular Amcal strong pain relief is still ok.. and no id required:D Woooooooot=D =D
 
Interesting. The Amcal Pain Tablets I believe are commonly recommended as a brand that filters well, or has been mentioned here so hopefully people don't get these mixed up. Can anyone find a picture of this brand?
 
If people aren't capable of reading the list of ingredients then they really only have them selves to blame.
 
so the amcal strong pain relief plus... is that paracetamol or ibupfofen mixed into it? How much codeine is there per tablet? Is it OTC / pharmacist only or does one need a script?
 
ive tried a few brands including nurofen +, codral cold and flu, the soul pattison brand ones, and a couple others i cant quite remember including ones that had blue tablets, and the best ones imo are panadeine.
usually xx bucks for a 100 pack containing 8.5mg codeine and 500mg paracetamol and they pretty much dissolve instantly as they hit water, no crushing and little stirring required.
i filter with a hanky, solution at the end is a little cloudy but theres a huge amount of solid left in the hanky

yeh are chemists own cheaper? havent used them cause the chemists i most regularly go to dont have them.

i reccomend not gettin codral cold flu lol. i went into a chemist one time they didnt have any codeine products but codral in 48 so i grabbed two without checking the price and paid for them with a fifty. to my suprise i got 10 change. regretted that deeply

Chemist's own are about $x per 24 in most pharmacies and are 10mg codeine, 500mg paracetamol. Panafen/Nurofen that I've seen range in the $x-$xx per 24 and have 12.8mg codeine, 200mg Ibuprofen. Online prices will typically be a little lower but you'd have to add postage. <mods delete this if inappropriate - sorry>

The last few CWE's I've done I have used 48 chemist's own, 4 mersyndol, and 25mg phenergan and found this to be a reasonably enjoyable dose. I filter through cloth and then through about 3 coffee filters on average so won't have as high a yield as some people; it takes hours too :(

In the interest of harm minimisation I'd recommend against aiming for more than 400mg codeine. I'm sure it's been pointed out before that your old body doesn't have the enzymes available to convert much more than that to morphine anyway.

Yeah lets try and not talk about prices here, I'll edit out the ones that have been posted.

As for the ceiling dose, I know a few people who have gone beyond it and get good results; I guess it's all about your personal liver enzyme chemistry. However, for most people who use codeine going beyond 400mg is just going to increase side effects (e.g. histamine reaction) without added benefits.
 
hmm yeh i CWE about once a week with my gf before we go to see a movie. we split a 100 pack of panadeine so roughly 400mg of codeine each not including any loss in yield.

ive CWE 75 8mg panadeine a couple of times but the 2nd time made me sick.
 
If you dose over the threshold, what happens, does the codeine stick around (causing histamine release) until enzymes are free to convert it? or does another enzyme take over and convert it to something inactive?

this is true, the regular Amcal strong pain relief are def one of the better ones, if i can get the fucking label off the strong pain PLUS that gots my name on it and covers the most important part of the box, i will scan and upload in the nxt few days, along with the good ones we all no and love with respective "good ones" and "bad ones" tags....
although i had a 240mg dose the other day (just 4 a treat) and used 3 of the ones with doxy in it (so 240mg codiene with only 15mg of the doxy) and i found it to b a great potentiator, much more sedate than normal, but i wouldna gone anymore doxy with a high dose like that, as i mentioned before...culd b hella dangerous:\
