Codeine Extraction

Yeah Panadine is expensive compared to all the other codeine/paracetamol combinations out there. I haven't used Chemists Own before, only Soul & Patterson and Amcal generics, both of which where extractable but messy and took ages to filter.
 
Some research we did in another thread in OD, basically, you don't need to cool it all that much at all. Room temp is fine, you'll get more Codeine that way, and only slightly more APAP/Ibuprofen (with the latter being so minimal it's not even funny).
 
^ Ditto that. I never bother with the cooling down process, it's just a waste of time. I just throw 'em in water and filter with an old work shirt. Done and done ;)
 
interesting to read about Panadeine 15's being tracked.....I have been buying these for over a year now and not once have i been asked for Id! I sometimes buy 2 packets at a time without any questions!

In what state are they restricted?

did an extraction on 50 of these this morning. took like 20 minutes all up. first time ive actually got decent effects off codeine. had 250mg and found it quite nice.

I'm just wondering, as i'd not consider making this too regular a happening, but how often would one have to take codeine and in what quantities for one to feel somewhat dependent?
(that's a pretty broad question i guess..)
 
I'll try the Chemists Own brand next time (pretty cheap I noticed) but I'm having a break, up to 500mg codeine for a decent buzz already, lol. Although to my surprise 500mg was comparable to MS Contin in low dose.

filenet here in WA only one particular chain seems to check ID, that being Chemist Warehouse. Indeed some places will sell you 2 packs and others wont. I haven't been outright refused the sale of Panadine 15 though.

I know it's all codeine but I found the Chemists Own brand a lot more enjoyable than the Panadeine 15's which extract just as well.

Excluding psychological addiction, a physical addiction would generally require someone to be using every day (tho 4 or 5 times a week might also be enough). Panadeine forte is commonly prescribed for daily use (60mg, up to 4 times a day), for short periods of no more than 1-2 weeks, so it would take a little while for someone to become physically dependant.

Personally speaking, after using one dose of 200mg a day for a month, when I stopped I only had slight discomfort lasting a day (not that this will be true for everyone). I started using it daily again, and after 3 months when I decided to take another break, I felt quite sick and realized how much I felt like I 'needed' the codeine. At that stage I didn't feel like I could quit, and as a result ended up using once or twice a day at doses of up to 400mg. This continued for 18 months, at which stage I decided the side effects were overriding the positives. I stopped using, and felt very sick as a result - anxiety, nausea, insomnia etc. It took me many attempts to quit properly, as after a few days I'd decide I couldn't handle it and buy more codeine. The trouble is that, though a dose would get rid of the sickness for a little while, the following couple of days would feel just as bad as when I'd first stopped.

It's been quite a few months now since I quit daily use, but I've found myself unable to resist having codeine once every two or three weeks. After each use, for a couple days I've found I still experience the same side effects as when I first stopped. This would probably go away if I just didn't have any for a couple months ... but that seems easier said than done. A couple weeks is fine, but any longer and the cravings seem to get fairly bad.

I'd have to recommend against daily use, or even semi-regularly, such as three times a week. Higher doses will naturally create more dependence, but I think the main attributing factor is from making it a regularity in your life.

Got a generic brand today, 10mg Codeine, 500mg APAP. Filtered clear, double-boiled down to a powder, and parachuted it on top of my Oxycodone high. Brilliant. Works well with the Oxycodone, it makes the high seem "dreamier", if you will.
 
Hehe. I'm in QLD, and I just asked for a 24 pack of Chemists Own Pain Tablets, got those generics instead. Worked wonders. The crash after the Oxycodone and Codeine wore off was bleh though.
 
To be honest? No! I think it worked quite well. I used the "double boiling method", where water is boiled beneath the container with the codeine-containing solution, so as to keep direct heat away from it. Parachuting the resulting powder had quite an effect, and effected my Oxycodone trip quite a bit, mellowing it out. Made for a brilliant day!

I'm yet to try parachuting the powder on its own however. I shall try this weekend and report back, once my opiate tolerance falls again. :)

I just wish i could prolong the 'peak' effects of Codeine.
 
Don`t we all! I found the powder interesting, and parachuting as a fascinating way of administering drugs. It works very very well, because when it hits, it HITS.

Codeine makes for great fun on top of Oxycodone btw. I encourage people to try it, it makes for a very dreamy and chilled high. :)
 
Just tried Chemists Own Brand Pain Tablets, extracted easily and a good buzz fast. Pity it wears off so quick ;) Also glad I"m going back to work soon becoming quite the CWE freak!
 
I'm thinking of doing the filtering in the fridge as this in theory will reduce the paracetamol in the mix, does this work?

How's this, i fucked up at one of the chemist i went to, got 100 standard panamax's :(
